Speedway Sales Reviews (28)

I ordered a Toro ZR Power Clear - Single Stage Snow Blower, Monday February 23rd, from SpeedwaySales and received it Wednesday February 25th, 2015, just before another snow storm is suppose to hit tonight! :-) I put it together (that was easy) I filled it with the oil Toro provided and filled it with gas and took it on a test drive! Near my home is a very large Visitors Parking Lot, feet x feet in size that had NEVER been cleaned this year of the snowfall! I fired up the Toro on the 2nd pull, just as advertised! :-) First I cleaned off the level part, no clogging as advertised, threw it ever bit of feet, then I cleaned off the part in the street where the snow plow piles it, so it was wet, deep and clumped together! This Toro snowblower NEVER hesitated, NEVER clogged and did an outstanding job of clearing it!!! I contacted Toro to see what they recommended as a replacement for a Toro S& Sand they suggested the 518, or or depending on my needs I then spent a week comparing snowblowers, locally and on line & I prayed about it! I finally narrowed it down to Company's on line I then researched the Company's and decided to buy from the one on line that had the least (Revdex.com) Revdex.com complaints and how long the Company had been in business and finally decided to give SpeedwaySales a try, and boy am I glad that I did!!! :-) Their delivery was super fast and FREE, it arrived undamaged, in days from date of purchase!!! I highly recommend you buy from them, I am VERY VERY PLEASED!!! :-) Sincerely [redacted]

We are a vendor for Speedway SalesWe have done business with them for about a 1/yearsWhile working with them was okay, the lack of paying for the services we have provided is notThey take an average of days to pay an invoiceWe have been trying to contact Speedway for months now trying to collect their remaining balance (worked preformed in early 2014)and if we manage to actually get a person to talk to us, they promise a payment in 4-weeksAt weeks out, we still don't have a paymentI don't know how they run their business, but from a vendors point of view, it is not greatWe are currently in the process of sending them to a Collections Agency as Speedway has stopped taking our calls/responding to emails

some times you read allot of bull on these reviews but I decided to bring my snowblower into speedway for repairit was the first big snow of the season so naturally there were also allot of other peoples machines that also broke downas I was on the phone I could hear others calling in for servicepick up was to be at 10:the next morning he arrived at 9;so far so goodthey gave me a repair window of 2-weeks I knew the holidays were going to affect the time' I still had my machine back just after new years even with ordering parts from toro the time was still just under weeksi feel that everything including the price was fair and quickhad no obnoxious people at any time answered my questions and price quoted was price paidso in my review everything was handled in a positive and professional manneri know it's hard to decide on things at times but for me at this time I would recommend incidently I live in milwaukee I wanted to try speedway I purchased this blower from them

I purchased an Ariens snow blower in February 2015 and paid $99.99 for the machine to be setup. I chose this seller because they would set up the machine for me. Speedway packaged the snow blower in shrinkwrap on a pallet, without a box and then shipped it. As soon as there was a snowfall, we attempted to use the snow blower. However, reverse gear did not work and the blade made an awful screeching sound when disengaged. I notified Speedway immediately. Speedway claimed that they tested the machine before shipping and said the warranty would cover transportation cost in the first year if a repair is needed. I contacted Ariens and was informed that the warranty does not cover that expense. Speedway also said the problems could be a manufacturing defect, yet they claim they tested it before it was shipped! According to Ariens, the snow blower could not have been tested prior to shipping because to do so would require using gasoline and the machine could not have been shipped if it had any gasoline in it. In writing, Speedway agreed to pay for the snow blower to be transported to and from a repair shop and to cover costs related to the setup. Then, since they apparently have no confidence in the quality of the work their employees do, Speedway decided to wash its hands of the issue and refunded the set up cost. Speedway said I could use the $99.99 they refunded to cover transportation and repair costs. However, that is not acceptable given that the transportation cost are more than 80% of the amount refunded. In the meantime, the warranty on this non-functioning machine continues to wear down.

The customer was instructed that he needs to have the machine taken care of under the Ariens Warranty procedure We are just a dealer for the product, we dont build them, we dont assemble them we send it out to the customer the same way it comes in from the factory If there is any issue it needs to be addressed with the manufacture they will direct the customer to a local service center Our policy for instaces of a manufacture are dictated to us by Ariens and our website clearly says what our policy's are in the case of any Manufacture defectManufactures Defect / Defective Products: The repair or replacement / exchange of a defective or malfunctioning product must be handled through your local authorized dealer for the respective brand under their manufacturer’s warranty policyProducts can not be shipped back to Speedway Sales for any problem which is covered under warranty at a local service center A full copy of our terms and conditions can be viewed at [redacted] When Mr [redacted] called he was given Ariens customer service number to have Ariens handle the situation

I will try to contact the manufacturer of the snow blower to see if they will help me. However, I will leave my original comments regarding Speedway Sales on the BBC Website because consumers should be aware of the way this company treats their customers. They say they tried to contact me and spam blocked their emails. I use Spam Arrest to filter all my emails and I am able to see everything that comes in to make sure I am not missing anything. Believe me, I checked every day for a month or more awaiting to hear from Speedway Sales. This also can't hold true because there was no problem ordering the snow blower on-line. I heard back from them right away (through email) that my sale went through! So it's quite different if money is involved. The certified letter I sent them was not responded to, which is an insult when you spend $1,000. They had my address and my phone number yet there was no response. Speedway Sales is not consumer friendly. They will take your money right quick, but they don't care if you have an issue, they ignore you. A brand new piece of $1,equipment should work - 100%! not cause over $worth of problems for the consumer which has to come out of pocket

some times you read allot of bull on these reviews but I decided to bring my snowblower into speedway for repair. it was the first big snow of the season so naturally there were also allot of other peoples machines that also broke down. as I was on the phone I could hear others calling in for service. pick up was to be at 10:00 the next morning he arrived at 9;45 so far so good. they gave me a repair window of 2-3 weeks. I knew the holidays were going to affect the time' I still had my machine back just after new years even with ordering parts from toro the time was still just under 3 weeks. I feel that everything including the price was fair and quick. had no obnoxious people at any time answered my questions and price quoted was price paid. so in my review everything was handled in a positive and professional manner. I know it's hard to decide on things at times but for me at this time I would recommend incidently I live in milwaukee I wanted to try speedway I purchased this blower from them

I tried to respond to the customers emails and they kept getting blocked by a spam blocker on the customers side.

Belts are like light bulbs, they can break at anytime.  When it was serviced it was not bad or showed signs of going bad however mowing conditions can effect a belt life.  Had the belt needed to be repaired when it was in for a tuneup they would have needed to pay for the belt replacement....

We did not charge for a belt replacement in the spring.  Many items on a mower will wear out during the season and if they all were replaced before their time the repair cost for the customer

Review: A snow blower (Ariens model #926055) was advertised on their site special order, shipped in 2-5 business days.(a pre season sale) They are still offering the snow blower shipped 2-5 business days. I purchased it online via pay pal, paid in full.(Aug. 28 2015) 4-5 days later they raised the price of the unit by $400 on line. They are currently stating that they can't or won't be able to be getting anymore units from Ariens. I called Ariens and they had 10 of my units in stock 100 miles away and didn't understand why Speedway Sales couldn't get them. I talked to Brent Sept. 18, 2015 from Ariens customer service. Speedway doesn't want t make good on the orders they took because now they would be losing profit. Because they took my money via pay pal, it should be a law biding contract to provide me with the service and product they were selling. Today is Sept. 29, 2015 and I still have no snow blower or they have not even contacted me.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my snow blower that I had paid for. Give my total money back plus extra so I can purchase the same unit from another business.(because they kept my money and all pre season sales have ended and all businesses have raised their prices); or I might be entertained of the idea of Speedway sending me a bigger, better unit of my choosing at the same price.

Review: I purchased a snow thrower from this company a few weeks ago. The machine arrived at my residence without any keys. A key is needed to start the machine. I called the company a couple of times and stated that key was not found. A gentleman who I spoke with claimed that two keys were attached to starter rope. I looked around several times and found nothing. He did send me 1 key but machine supposed to have 2. I have emailed customer service there but get no response. I know it's been a crazy winter but these companies should respond.

Product_Or_Service: snow thrower Order_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want this company to send me out another key so I will have a spare.
