Review: I ordered a Toro Snow Blower on 10/6/14, the product arrived in a time they said it would. But when I put it together I found shipping damage to the blower. I contacted them and sent pics and they said it looked like the handle bar was bent. They sent a new one after I e-mailed or called a couple times. Installed the new part on 10/25/14 and it didn't fix the problem. I e-mailed them with new pics twice and didn't here from them. So on 10/28/14 I sent another e-mail to tell them I would drive 3.5hrs to bring it back and they could give me a replacement,Or I could take it to my local dealer and have them fix it and send the bill to them. I still have not heard from them. When I've called they seem very rude.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. As long as theyreimburse me for the cost. The dealer I took it to just called me today and said a part is on back order. Not sure when it will be fixed.

Review: I purchased a new snow blower that was delivered on February 22, 2014. When it arrived I noticed that the recoil starter was jammed. I called Speedway sales & told them that I wanted to have the snow blower replaced since it was brand new and had never been used. [redacted] said that they would not replace it I would have to get it repaired under warranty. I dont feel that a brand new snow blower should have to be repaired it should be replaced with a new one.Desired Settlement: I feel they have a duty to replace any defective equipment that has been sold to a customer as new

The customer was instructed that he needs to have the machine taken care of under the Ariens Warranty procedure. We are just a dealer for the product, we dont build them, we dont assemble them we send it out to the customer the same way it comes in from the factory. If there is any issue it needs to be addressed with the manufacture they will direct the customer to a local service center.

Our policy for instaces of a manufacture are dictated to us by Ariens and our website clearly says what our policy's are in the case of any Manufacture defect

Manufactures Defect / Defective Products:

The repair or replacement / exchange of a defective or

malfunctioning product must be handled through your local authorized

dealer for the respective brand under their manufacturer’s warranty

policy. Products can not be shipped back to Speedway Sales for any

problem which is covered under warranty at a local service center.

When Mr [redacted] called he was given Ariens customer service number to have Ariens handle the situation.

Excellent customer service, prompt pick-up and delivery of lawnmower and job completed in just a few days. Lawnmower came back in perfect condition, all cleaned-up and ready to go. Friendly truck drivers and Mark, the technician did an excellent job.Highly recommend this company.

"I ordered a Honda HS928 snow blower.Prior to ordering I called and confirmed it was in stock, the sales rep said it was definitely in stock and if I ordered via their website within the next hour it would ship that afternoon. I immediately ordered the item and got a confirmation email stating it was ordered. I waited 2 days and called customer service to see why it had not shipped and they stated they did not have them in stock. I asked that the order be cancelled and they said they would. I waited 24 hours and checked my account at speedway and the item had not been cancelled. I called my credit card company (Discover) and explained the situation to them. They advised they would cancel that card and issue a new one to keep Speedway from charging me since they did not cancel. Customer service rep was also very rude and condescending when I tried to cancel the order. They may have the lowest price but I will never do business with someone who is not honest."

I ordered and paid by credit card for a steel roller on Sunday 28Mar15.
I set up an online account for my business, Microtek. Every day I logged in and the order says in RED letters "processing". I called and emailed everyday and finally on the 5th day decided to wait on hold. When I asked when the roller was going to ship, I was put on hold then this guy comes back and says: "Oh we only had one of those and ill not get any more in". Why did they not call/email me to tell me that or better still WHY DID THEY ACCEPT THE ORDER KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO FILL IT. THIS IS DISHONEST!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!

Review: I spent $273.50 with Speedway on March 30, 2015 for tune up, oil change and new drive and cutting deck belts for my [redacted], Sabre riding lawn machine. I asked them to make sure they put on the best belts they had, as they had done in the past, so that I did not get the machine back and three months latter, the belt comes off and I am stuck because I cannot get underneath the machine to repair or push the belt back into place.I called them a hour ago and was put on hold twice in an attempt to talk to the repair team who did the work. I had to call back three times and on the third time I asked to speak to the manager owner and was rudely informed that the owner was in Europe until Sept 3, and by the way, our guarantee is only 30 days.I went to these folks because they said they were specialists in power tools. I believe they cheated. You do not put on a good "belt" and have a problem in less than three months or by using the machine 11 (eleven) times. They would not help me and hoped that I would go away - thus the rude treatment on the phone.Desired Settlement: They should pick up the machine and not charge me and then either replace the belt - and bill me for the cost of the belt or belts, charge for for half the labor cost to replace the belts and return the machine back to me. The problem is, I do not trust these folks after the way they addressed the problem, They should have offered to "fix the situation" and then work out a rational compromise on cost. They however hopped I would go away and that is the reason they put me on hold for so long.

Belts are like light bulbs, they can break at anytime. When it was serviced it was not bad or showed signs of going bad however mowing conditions can effect a belt life. Had the belt needed to be repaired when it was in for a tuneup they would have needed to pay for the belt replacement. We did not charge for a belt replacement in the spring. Many items on a mower will wear out during the season and if they all were replaced before their time the repair cost for the customer

We are a vendor for Speedway Sales. We have done business with them for about a 1 1/2 years. While working with them was okay, the lack of paying for the services we have provided is not. They take an average of 80 days to pay an invoice. We have been trying to contact Speedway for months now trying to collect their remaining balance (worked preformed in early 2014)and if we manage to actually get a person to talk to us, they promise a payment in 4-6 weeks. At 6 weeks out, we still don't have a payment. I don't know how they run their business, but from a vendors point of view, it is not great. We are currently in the process of sending them to a Collections Agency as Speedway has stopped taking our calls/responding to emails.

Review: If you buy a piece of equipment from this company and you receive it, and it works well, you would probably give this company a five-star rating. However, as with my experience, if you had any problems with it, you are in for a big surprise. We never heard from Speedway as phone calls not returned, emails requesting delivery confirmation were not accepted, a certified letter with a signed return (which I received) was not addressed, and follow up emails were ignored. In October we purchased a snowblower for $999 from Speedway. The first snow here came in December. Time to use the snowblower. My husband attempted to put together the remaining pieces that were in the box - much to his dismay, he was not able to connect the handlebar parts because the holes were drilled in the wrong place! Now this is a heavy piece of equipment. We had no way to get it to a certified repair place ([redacted]), so we had no choice but to pay $85.00 for them to pick it up and return it. What made it even more disappointing was the fact the repair place couldn't even get it started once it was there. Now, if you spent this kind of money on something, you might say, there is always a chance something will be wrong. I don't know how you would feel if you spent that kind of money on something only to be ignored , without even the courtesy of a response, but I imagine you wouldn't be giving five stars after shelling out $212.82 to have the repairs done on a BRAND NEW piece of equipment.Desired Settlement: $212.82 to cover what we had to pay to get the snowblower in working condition. Copies of invoices were sent to Speedway enclosed with my certified letter of January 13, 2014.
