It’s very difficult to know where to begin to respond when there is so many erroneous facts in the complaintIn regards to the engine displacement and the NOS system, no written asertations were made about the vehicle other than it was sold as-isAlso, after speaking to my staff, no verbal
promises were made about the engine size or any high performance partsThe car was sold and the customers purchased a third party service contractDue to less than perfect credit, the bank would not finance the service contractAt that point the customer elected to enter into a re-written contract, thus unwinding the first deal and entering into a new contract WITHOUT the warranty at a LOWER paymentOnce again to be clear, no verbal or written promises were made about NOS, engine size etcWe, as a dealership are more than willing, out of goodwill, to meet with Mr Terrain and see if we can come up to a resolutionResolutions have already been attempted to be made by the dealership, but to no avail

The customer says they have “witnesses” that day he said we made verbal promises. But yet the customer signed a contract that says “no verbal promises” and that the vehicle was being purchased as-is and also the customer clearly doesn’t understand that the lemon law doesn’t apply to used cars only new cars.We also would like it to be noted that the customer signed a contract with no warranty and no service contract and he currently has a balanced owed to Spirit auto center on the vehicle. Again, simply out of goodwill, we are more than happy to sit down with The customer and discuss his issues.

We are happy to continue to try to find seats for the Honda Element.  We are under new management and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience the consumer has experienced.  as the vehicle was purchased "as is" and had over 128,000 miles, the vehicle may have some mechanical issues from...

time to time.  We will make sure the Integra traded to us has been transferred to the new owner's name if we sold the vehicle.I will contact the consumer once we have located the seats for the 2004 Honda Element.

Please change this complaint to closed not closed unresolved.

We have a signed release from [redacted] which I will attach.  We had nothing to do with the accident reported by another driver we did not give anyone Ms. [redacted] insurance card to use.  We have no knowledge regarding this accident and we have found Ms. [redacted] trade-in car was not in an accident
We have inspected the Toyota Camry after the date of the incident and this vehicle had not been involved in an accident.
Please close this account as answered.

Regarding [redacted] [redacted], we have paid in full the remaining balance of her loan which came in over $5000.00. I believe [redacted] came in and gathered proof of payment. I apologize for any delay but my name is listed in this complaint and at no time have I ever spoke to [redacted] and I did not...

work here during her original complaint. I can only assume my name was used as a point of contact but I received none from [redacted]. My employment here has only been a very short time. I am sure it is resolved however at this time. Thank you.Scott R[redacted]GM Spirit Auto

I contacted the customer upon receipt of this complaint and left a message.  I received a call back from a man identifying his self as Mr. [redacted]; I began talking to Mr. [redacted] after a few minutes he said he was [redacted] father.  I explained unfortunately as he was not part of the...

transaction and was not on the contract I would be unable to continue the conversation with him; his son would have to call back.
[redacted] did return my call and I told him we would work with him to help as much as we could up to and including waving the balance of his down payment in the amount of $2000.00
He said he would call me on Monday, September 26, 2016  as of today 9/27, 2016 Mr. [redacted] has not called back.

We look forward to finding a solution for Mr. [redacted] in reference the vehicle he purchased.  In order to accomplish a resolution we are requesting Mr. [redacted] reach out to me or our General Manager Dominic G[redacted].

Thank you

Forum From Whence to Speak Before My End They Seek. This car dealership was not safe people to leave your personal information with. I did not know about the intimation tactics of telling me years and years we will keep your information in their rebuttal. I feel if they were an honorable dealership they would have told me this, before I signed their form and gave them my personal information.  They were not forthright in their business dealings with us. I feel they stay in business by dealing with unsuspecting gullible and naïve customers. The
Federal Trade Commission I read an article on business practice and they give tips how to protect yourself from being conned into giving out your personal information to unscrupulous car reps in bad dealerships. We should have asked first what they were going to do with our information before we even filled out their form. Instead of asking after signed and filled out. To late now I don’t believe it is the Federal Trade Commission’s goal for Spirit Auto Center to hold onto my personal information to later use my information for identity theft fraud. I Think the Federal Trade Commission likes to see honest forthrightness in business and not practice unreputable policies that leaves a customer in fear of the safety.  The only good that came from this incident with Spirit Auto Center is that I was not eligible for a loan saved me from getting a bad car. Another concern is Spirit Auto Authorized to give this to a third party and sell my information.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
although they recovered the vehicle I am still in the same loner vehicle which can go out at any time because of the lifters. And I've heard nothing of progress on the vehicle I want to purchase at which time upon receiving it of the vehicle that I would like to purchase I would be more than happy to remove my complaintSincerely,[redacted]

We do maintain the privacy of the consumer by securing the credit application, credit report and any other information completed by the consumer in a secured, locked file.
If Ms. [redacted] would like to contact me directly please ask her to do so.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:the clutch went out and I immediatledy brought it back to SUNSET. a few days later they FRED said it was fixed but when I tried to drive it out of the lot. it made a grinding sound and I refused to take the car until they fixed it REGARDLESS of whether it was clutch or transmission, I paid for warranty which cleary states both were covered!... it had nothing to do with the way I was driving the car. the clutch went out and I brought the car in immediatlely. My mechanic friend [redacted] was in the car at the time and can vouch for me.
IN fact Sunset had my car over 7 months while I made payments for it to SPRINGLEAF FINANCIAL and NEVER fixed car. I stopped by to see my car was still on lot and noticed the aback SUBARU log plastic was brocken while on their lot.
they sold me a crap car for a lot of money and I want resolution.
Sincerely,[redacted]

In reference to Ms. [redacted] complaint regarding the 2008 dodge Nitro she purchased from Spirit Auto Center LLC dba Sunset Cars of Renton, the purchase price of the vehicle was $17180.00, she purchased a Service Contract for $3999.00 & GAP insurance for $999.00.  I concur with the fact she...

did have a trade-in  valued at $500.00 and a cash down payment of $1000.00.
I'm uncertain who may have told her we had changed ownership as that is not the fact; we did operate as Sunset Cars of Renton but dropped our (dba) in October and changed our sign to Spirit Auto Center (our actual legal name)  I apologize she was given the incorrect information in June or July 2015.  The ownership remains the same.
As far as the value of the vehicle that is a subjective matter depending on different criteria; I'm unable to address that as we do not the current condition of the vehicle, mileage etc.
If Ms [redacted] has power train issues with the vehicle she is welcome to return to our dealership for diagnosis or she may use the Service Contract she purchased with her vehicle.
The Service Contract is through Cornerstone United and the contract #is [redacted], most dealerships will accept this service contract and repair the vehicle.  the Service Contract is active, if she needs a copy of it, she may contact us at any time to provide the copy.  Per the service contract there is a deductible of $250.00 per occurance.
Also, Ms [redacted], may cancel both the Service Contract & the GAP policies at any time, the refund would be prorated and would be calculated either at mileage or time whichever is the greatest.  If she canceled one or both the refund would be issued to Advantis Credit Union (unless she had paid them in full) and would reduce the payoff due to Advantis.
Ms. [redacted] may contact me at any time to discuss any or all issues.
I sincerely apologize for the misinformation Ms. [redacted] received regarding the ownership of the company, we would like to restore Ms. [redacted] faith in our firm by helping in any matter we can.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The paper uploaded from the dealership is a untrue and false statement. I myself the legal owner and person in auto dept did not sign and never gave anyone permisson to sign on my behalf. I would never agreed to any such agreement. At that time the car needed and still needs thousands of dollars worth  of repairs so why would I agree to a mere $600.  They never offered any proof nor was I ever given any copies of receipts CLAIMING was spent on my 2007 Range Rover. The dealership never fully completed the verbal agreement to get my vehicle running without shifting  problems and computer errors by a licensed european mechanic. Spirit Auto Center had my vehicle from December 2015 to August 2016. It was given back to me in worse condition ten months later. The car stopped shifting the day after the owner gave it back. With new problems of my side step broken, a check engine light on, oil stains on the interior, and it cutting off when I press on the accelerator. The car is currently not running sitting on the side of the road. This 2007 Range Rover should have never been for sale. I have been having issues with it less than 30 days of purchase. Spirit Auto Center is the worst place to ever buy a vehicle and if you're smart you'll avoid them at any cost. This is a ridiculous and unfortunate situation that I'm in. They lie and avoid doing the right thing. At first they let their unlicensed mechanic work on my trucks transmission and break the driveline. If their fixing a $3000 problem how could I ever agreed to $600. Sincerely,[redacted]
