[redacted] We are confused.  Initially, we offered this customer a repair of a gate and post replacement  for $500.00 which was rejected.  We then explained we would provide the post for no charge per the warranty but if the customer wanted us to do the labor to remove and install the post would be $250.00.  We never heard back.  The paper work we just received the customer is accepting the repair for $500.00.  Please have this customer clarify whether she wants us to just supply the post or remove the existing post and install the new one at a cost of $250.00 or wants us to repair the gate as well as remove and replace the post at at cost of $500.00 Thanks [redacted]

Split Rail Fence will supply the post to [redacted] at no charge.  If the customer would like Split Rail to remove the existing post and replace with new post the cost of labor will be $250.00. Thanks[redacted]President

[redacted] Revdex.com [redacted]   Dear [redacted], The gate post is splitting which is a manufacturer defect.  [redacted] came out and looked at the defect and informed me that he would contact TREX .  He later informed me that TREX approved and that parts had been ordered to make the repair.   From this point forward, Split Rail has not cooperated in scheduling completion of the repair.  Split Rail’s offer to make repairs at a cost of $500.00 is for repairs beyond what I am requesting.  I simply want them to repair the split post at the gate.  I am not requesting any work or repairs from Split Rail that are not covered under the warranty. The manufacturer warranty is for 20 years.  Several of the posts have split and Split Rail handled the repairs at no cost for more than one year following installation of the fence.    I am requesting to be contacted within 10 business days to schedule a repair to the split gate post to occur no later than August 22, 2016.  No additional services are needed at this time and therefore, Split Rail’s offer of performing additional work for $500.00 is unnecessary. We met with the customer today and together have come up with a solution satisfactory to both parties. We will put an additional latch on the inside of the gate for the customer.

Split Rail Fence completed the work on 9/2/15 that the customer requested. This complaint has been resolved.
