Dear ***?"Good afternoon.? We have received your complaint to the Revdex.com of Wisconsin, ID: [redacted] ( [redacted] ).? We regret to hear that you were not satisfied with your C-stock purchase.? However, as you acknowledge in your explanation, our C-stock offerings, often re-tipped (not refurbished/reconditioned) rods that have broken to shorter than constructed lengths, do not come with a warranty and are sold as is? While we obviously expect these rods to still have remaining serviceable life, one of the reasons why they are offered at the exceptionally low prices they are is because of the lack of warranty something which is clearly communicated to all customers at the time of purchase.? For pre-serial number rods such as this, we have no way of knowing exactly how old a rod might be.? Additionally, estimating the life of a rod is totally unfeasible as we do not know how often or how aggressively a rod may have been fished during the course of its use.? Again, a reason why we offer these at the prices we do and without warranty.? Obviously, we cull out rods that have readily apparent issues before they are offered for sale? I realize these are not the answers or comments that you want to hear again, but we are not going to be able to offer you the outcome desired in your complaint.? I understand that StCroix Rods is not going to change their position on my complaintAs such, I would like to ensure that a complaint is registered against the company for unfair sales practices so that other consumers can research the company prior to considering their productsI will consider further action via the legal system to recoup my monies and to ensure the company is restricted from further such sales

Selling ANY product that breaks with reasonable uses of the product is not acceptableSelling a product that breaks, and then having your sales representative claim that the rod was years old and that would be the cause of the break is NOT REASONABLECustomers take chance buying your used rods with the belief that the company applied good faith in deciding which rods to resellIn this case it is readily apparent that the company became lazy or greedy and decided that a customer would no that this un-serialized rod was old and could be expected to breakNO REASONABLE customer would have that level of understandingStCroix scraped off the logo on the rod causing the rod to weaken significantly and THAT is the cause of the rod breakingThis issue will not be resolved until the company returns the money and changes their sales practices

We are in receipt of *** September 29th letter.
