I just had Star USA Moving move furniture in record time and at a great price with no issues, dings, or delays! They were amazing and very professional. I had several couches, lots of chairs, glass dining table, boxes of dishes and clothes. They moved it all with a smile! I'm pretty high maintenance in that I want a professional company with insurance and good Better Business rating...I want them to accept Visa...I want great customer service...I want on-time service even in a snow storm...I want a contract with the agreed upon price and services emailed to me prior to the move. Again, they did it with a smile. I highly recommend using Star USA Moving for any move since they move long distance and locally. I will use them again residentially and also recommend them to the company I work for.

We decided to hire Star USA Moving because we had a nice experience with them before. This time the relation became more closed. Both the times, they didn't disappoint us. I am pretty sure to have them as our mover in near future. The way they worked, nobody could have denied their efficiency. They helped us wrap our furniture and other big items. No compromise with quality. They used to send me text message and email all the time concerning the position of our belongings. Their work made me feel comfortable about my possession. It was really a good service and I highly advise everyone to hire them.

We read many moving horror stories in the past, and came across a few in our home town, so we had a hard time deciding on a moving company when it was our time to move. We considered to move our 3 bedrooms home ourselves, but decided to give Star USA Moving a chance. Let me say, they were wonderful. They were on time, personable, helpful, patient, and hard working. Nothing got scratched, damaged, or lost. We were not charged for extra or hidden fees. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend them to anyone that is fearful of hiring a moving company like we did.

I was nervous about moving to another state because I've never moved that far before. I didn't know where to start but after searching online I found Star USA Moving. They were so easy to talk to and schedule with. They made sure to pay close attention to what we needed and when the day of our move came they showed up right on time. Our things were handled with so much care. I couldn't believe how respectful they were and how easily the move went. If I had to hire someone again for a move this big I would definitely contact them again.

Our moving experience was a pleasant one. The team of Star USA Moving was very professional and handled our belonging with care. Not to mention, quite timely and efficient. They made sure to provide their services for the time that best suited my fiancé' and I. We enjoyed their services so much that we have recommended them to our friends and we will definitely use their services if we move in the future.

We relocated a long distance using Star USA Moving. The communication was great and the sales rep kept us informed of every possible scenario and charge up front which most companies did not tell us. Their manager informed us on how to prepare for our move which was extra helpful and I would like to thank this moving company for their excellent services. The moving crew was very nice and professional. The move went great and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to any folks in search of a reliable moving company.

So frustrating! I tried to get my deposit back within their 48 hour window. But nobody would answer the phone, nobody would call me back, and the email address was undeliverable. Lost 1473 dollars. Beware!

I had a same day move and immediately needed to find movers. I called Star USA Moving and their manager was able to assist me right away. The team came two hours after I called and was able to provide a COI in the allotted timeframe. To say the least, the team worked fast and prompt, which I loved. Nothing was damaged and they were professional! For it to be a last minute accommodation, I absolutely loved the service and would recommend. They were on top of everything and their decades of experience shone through! The pricing was reasonable and the work was swift. Thank you to this company and the team for the accommodation and assistance!!

When you're given a job offer that pays in the top most tax bracket for IT professionals, you run! Alongside me ran Star USA Movers, my movers. They had the responsibility of transferring my valuable stuff, and I have a lot of them, to my new company provided huge-as house. They were recommended by a dear friend and they really meant business. All the men were so well trained that I just knew all my goods would be safe in their hands. They wrapped everything perfectly and carried them downstairs from my 3rd storied apartment with ease. I didn't even have to wait till the last day of delivery. They delivered everything 2 days before the latest date I had provided. I felt overall very satisfied with the service I received.

Safe and secure van lines gave us a quote and never told us that they were a broker company and that this other company we did not know about was coming to our home to move us. Safe and secure van lines also told us it was a FULL SERVICE MOVE. Star USA moving charged for wrapping furniture which was supposed to be included. Star USA showed up to our house 4 hours late, packed the entire house into the truck. Then as they were packing our stuff they took our clothes out of the vacuum sealed bags and used the clothes as packing materials. When they were done loading everything on the truck they brought the receipt and charged us $745 to wrap cardboard around pictures and to put our vaccume sealed bags in a 'wardrobe box? which was just a box. They also charged us to put our mattress's in bags when they were already in bags. They were told not to pull into the yard when they were leaving because it had been raining and our septic tank is in the yard. They did not listen and pulled straight into our yard and tore up the yard (I will put pictures in the post) They got stuck in the yard and had to unload the entire truck to get one of our chains to pull it out of the yard. We were quoted a certain amount of money from the broker company Safe and secure van lines and they charged us DOUBLE the amount when we were told it was by weight and these guys charged us by 'space? when we didn't even use half of a 26 ft truck. The guys who picked up our stuff in NC also went into our refrigerator and drank beer, and when I told the owner about this he started screaming at me!! Calling me a liar and being very nasty.

Refund We would like a full refund from these people! We were taken advantage of and charged for things we shouldn't have been.

Star USA Moving canceled my move order which I reserved in June 2018 and will not refund my deposit.
On June 14, 2018 I reserved movers for August 19, 2018 to move from Warner Robins, GA to Port Orchard, WA with the company Star USA Moving. I signed an electronic contract for $2,440.75. Job no: ***
On August 6, 2018 I called to give star USA moving the permanent address that had just been acquired. I let them know that we would be arriving August 26, 2018 and they stated they would have to move the pickup date to August 11th or 12th. I agreed to have a family member at the storage facility on those days to assist with moving.
On August 10, 2018, star USA moving representative named Arthur called me and stated that they would not move my belongings because the price I was quoted in June was too low. Star USA moving states they would move my belongings if I would pay $4000. I was very upset. Star USA moving abruptly ended the phone called after laughing at me and telling me they were canceling my order. Arthur stated I would never see my deposit of $626.08 back. I called back and spoke with Charles at star USA moving who stated if I want my deposit back, I would have to file a chargeback with the bank. He stated that I would not get a refund and that Arthur had canceled the move. He stated that Arthur had canceled the carrier who was scheduled to pickup my belongings on August 12th.
Arthur called back a few hours later and stated they would move my belongings for $3250.35. He stated he emailed the revised contract job no: ***. I told him I would not sign a revised contract and they should honor the contract in June.
A local carrier called me at 7pm and stated that star USA moving should have never quoted me $2440 or $3250 and that he would not show up to my storage facility unless I signed a contract for $4000.
I filed a chargeback with Bank *** for the deposit of $626.08 since star USA moving canceled my order and refused to return the deposit. Bank *** denied the chargeback because of the misinformation star USA moving provided to them regarding this situation. Star USA moving stated that I canceled the order even though I did not verbally or in written form. I wanted them to honor the original agreement I signed in June.
I had to make arrangements to move the items myself because of star USA cancelling the order at the last minute.
I am filing this complaint because star USA should not be entitled to keep my deposit because they canceled the order. Star USA moving was very unprofessional in their dealings with me. They quoted one price and then changed at the last minute because they wanted me to have no other choice but to pay the increased amount.
After this situation, I have researched online and see that this has happened to many customers.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This business has had plenty of time to review my account and refused to refund the deposit. I have sent them copies of the contracts and they would not refund the deposit. I will gladly provide all the documentation to show that I did not cancel their services and they refused to refund my money when they canceled the movers themselves. They owe me $626.08 for services they refused to provide.

New state, new home and 1st long distance moving experience, honestly I thought it would be a disaster. But my move was very smooth. The crew from Star USA Moving arrived on time and disassembled what was necessary and wrapped and moved everything in a careful and professional manner. All furniture was reassembled and set all the furniture where we wanted it placed. I liked all in one moving and storage and their service. They were so reasonable and provided a great service for me. Thanks to them and would share their name around to others.

The complete process was amazing- from start to finish and with all involved. I can't overstate how impressed I was with the quality of service I received from Star USA Moving. Before the move they informed me everything. When the movers came timely they started packing and wrapping immediately. I told them to go to the basement, as there were some belongings of mine. Though the basement was so unclean but they went there with a smile. And packed everything with a great attitude. I was so pleased with their behavior. I am going to use them again.

I reserved the movers is Star USA Moving in June for a move in mid August to Port Orchard, WA, put down a deposit of $626.08 for this move, and signed a contract for the total price of $2,440.75. I did not have a permanent address yet. I called when the permanent address was established on August 8, 2018. They stated that they would schedule the carrier to pick up on that weekend August 11th and 12th. I let them know I would not be arriving to Port Orchard, WA until August 26, 2018.
Star USA Moving called two days later on August 10th refusing to move my belongings because I was quoted 'too low of a price.? They gave me several reasons why my price was incorrect ? (1) I was quoted a winter price, (2) the salesperson did not know what she was doing, and that (3) the sales promotion that I was quoted was no longer valid. They quoted $2440.75 for the move in June - Job No: ***. Star USA Moving stated that they could not find a carrier that would move my belongings lower that $4000. I was very upset that this was happening one day before they were to pick up my belongings. Arthur at Star USA Moving was the point of contact trying to get me to pay the higher price. I let him know that this entire situation felt like a scam and that I signed a contract for $2440.75 for movers and put down a $626.08 deposit. He laughed at me and stated I would not see my deposit back and hung up the phone abruptly.
When I called back, he refused to speak with me and another associate stated that I should find other means to move my belongings. When I asked about the deposit, he suggested I submit a chargeback with the bank.
They canceled my move because I would not sign an updated contract for them to charge more money than what was originally stated in the June contract. They have refused to refund my deposit even though they canceled the move themselves.

I have used a lot of different moving companies over the years and have never come across a fun and hardworking team as Star USA Moving. They were extremely hard working, helpful and polite. We appreciate their efficiency and humor throughout the move. Their manners and well-spoken conversation was a real pleasure and their attention to detail and wanting to do a good job was more than we could hope for in a team of movers. I believe they have one of the best teams I have ever met.

I contacted StarUSA Moving on June 25,2018 to set up a move on Saturday,July 28 and was given a quote for between $500 and $550 and I had to pay a deposit of $180, which I paid. A couple weeks later I called back to verify everything and the person that I spoke with said the distance was incorrect and the total would be $709. I never heard anything more until I called them on Monday, July 23rd to find out what time the truck would be by on Saturday and was told that dispatch would let me know on Friday. Friday came and nobody called so I called and got a time of between 8am and 11am and I was definitely booked. Saturday morning came and went and when I called I was told that dispatch was behind and they couldn't "get to me". I agreed to do the move Sunday morning and was told the same time frame is "written in stone". Sunday morning came and went and still nobody showed up or called me so I called all listed numbers until somebody answered and he said they were in Kentucky and wouldn't be able to get to me until 4pm or 5pm. I expressed my disappointment and was told that I could cancel and get a refund on my deposit which is what I did. It is now Tuesday, July 31 and have been on hold pretty much for the past two days. I have sent an email and a message through their website but nobody will respond. I just want a confirmation that they are refunding my $180 deposit.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The response above is meant to drag this complaint on and on. I was not provided the services that I was promised and upon cancellation I was promised my deposit of $180 would be refunded. I feel that this promise is not being honored. I have the estimate from StarUsa showing a payment of $180 but no receipt for the balance because no service was provided. I do, however, have a cancelled check from Helping Hands Movers which I had to turn to to provide the service that I needed.

We contacted the company on 6/12/18 for a moving quote. We agreed to a contract with them with an initial deposit of $508. On 6/20/18 we added items to our contract and paid and additional $38 towards the deposit. As stated in contract, movers are to call the day before (7/1/18) to confirm time for the schedule move on 7/2/18. We spoke with *** or*** 6/29/18 to inquire about a rough time we would be receiving the call on 7/1/18 and he stated afternoon to evening and also assure everything was on track for the move. We heard nothing 7/1/18 and were informed they were going to be using the alternate move date 7/3/18. We called again 7/2/18 at 7pm because we still have not received a call about the time they were going to come on 7/3/18. Then is when they informed us they could not do our move and our job was cancelled by the mover a week prior. They stated they would refund us our money $546 and sent an email confirmation stating it would take 7-10 business days. It is now 13 business days and no refund has been processed. We have contacted all numbers listed and associated with the business and we are being hung up on, calls ignored, told billing is out to lunch even not at lunch times (1500) and/or they will call back. They even confirmed we see you have called several times, but they are just sales associates and cannot do anything. Days later and still no call back or refunds.

Desired Outcome

Refund the deposited money of $546 for services never performed. I would also like this business to dissolve considering the lack of professionalism and stealing of Veteran's money!

Poor service
Star USA moving created a difficult moving experience. Right from the start no one called me to tell me when exactly they would be coming to pick up our stuff. So after having to call them I found out they wouldn't be there until a day after expected. They showed up 2 hours after the time window. Charged me $1,000 more then the original quote. Now I find out after having to call them 6 times that it will be delivered a week late. No one even called. I had to call them 6 times!

This was the WORST customer service experience that I have experienced in my entire life. From being lied to during my booking concerning my inventory to the pick up EVERYTHING about this company is HORRIBLE. The initial representative lied to me during the quote process. Told the list of items that I had and sent him was well within the space that he was booking me for. One onsite then suddenly I am over my spacing limit and they charged me an additional $700 on top of the quote the gave me. No one explained to me the details as far as repackaging and etc. My TV costs $35 to put in a box and then another $65 for the crate to hold the tv in. My handmade wall decor that I made suddenly had to be individually boxed even when I expressed that they were cheap and inexpensive I still was charged $35 per box and another $65 for the crate to put them in. They arrived to pick up my belongs 3 hours after they stated they would. The owner himself was unprofessional and when I voiced my concerns about his company he threatened to stop my contract and leave my belongings on site. The customer service call center is TERRIBLE. I had to call for 3 days just to get a COI from them, another 2 days to make sure they received an validated my inventory list and on top of that I was hung up on 7 (seven times... yes I counted). I WILL NEVER move interstate again thanks to this company and I WILL NEVER suggest or refer anyone to use their services. To spare anyone the experience that I just had with them, if you need to move call me I will move it for you before I allow anyone to have to deal with the foolishness that I am dealing with. MY WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! If I could give a negative rating I would. DO NOT CHOOSE STAR USA MOVING!!!

Billing Adjustment I would like an adjustment to my bill. From being lied to concerning bill rates, to arriving late to pick up my belongings causing me to be charged from my storage facility due to their tardiness, to a $700 up charge, to being disrespected by the owner and firm. I was told my furniture will be here on Monday of next week now they do not know what day and I am being charged for an empty apt I have not moved in simply because they are extending the number of days to bring me my furniture.

All of this information is available internally at Star USA Moving, LLC. There are multiple notations on my account detailing my experience and treatment as a customer. In addition there were certain inventory documents that were not given to my delivering company. This is just a tactic to further stall and further irritate me. Even the owner was aware of my unhappiness as he responded to another review that I submitted. They have all the information they need and they did not want to resolve with me prior to me submitting this claim.

This company is scammers. The people who they contract out to are taking money from customers, and the phone number provided for them is not real.
When I was reading the contracts to sign, and asking what certain things meant, I was bold faced lied to. I asked what the "shuttle service" was, and the man told me that that's only needed if I'm not available when the movers get there and they have to transfer it into a different truck. That is not the case at all. The "shuttle service" (what a misleading name) is to transfer your stuff from an 18-wheeler into a smaller truck. So if you live in an apartment or a house on a smaller street, you will be charged the "shuttle service" fee which is an extra $350-$700. Things got absolutely awful then I had to deal with the contractor here in California. He called me and told me that an 18 wheeler truck would not fit on my street and that I would need to pay $450 extra to transfer it into a smaller truck. So I talked to my apartment manager and she told me that 18 wheeler trucks WILL fit on my street, and that people do it all the time. So I told the man that was moving my stuff that an 18 wheeler will fit on the street and he told my that my apartment manager was lying to me (there is literally no reason she has to lie to me, I've already signed a lease and that's just a ridiculous claim) and that he "knows that area" and I truck won't fit. He also said he refused to park in the red. I told him he would need to park in the red, even with a small truck, because there wouldn't be any street parking on a Sunday morning anyways. I also looked up the law in Los Angeles and it said that a truck can park in the red if it is actively loading or unloading, which is exactly what I moving truck does. I also live in front of a two lane road, and I've ever seen 18 wheeler trucks on my street. When I told him I've seen the trucks on my street and I took a screenshot of the law on moving trucks, he decided to tell me that it will fit, but it just won't make the turn. Everything I told this man, he would lie to me and tell me something different than what he had just told me. I decided to have my boyfriend (who lives here too) speak to him in hopes maybe he would listen to someone else, and he proceeded to say "I told that bch already..."
So extreme disrespect aside, I told him fine, we will pay the $450 for the smaller truck since you refuse to bring the bigger one. He shows up the day of, two hours early at 8 in the morning, with the "smaller" truck (which was still a 16 foot truck) parked in the red like he said he refused to do. My boxes were banged up and damaged, some of them were torn open on the sides, and one of them was even OPENED and my things inside were throw around in a way that I did not pack them in at all. My television was lying down on it's side and the bottom of it was broken open with the tv half hanging out, but somehow, thank God, it still works. Some of my mirrors and candles were broken as well. I haven't unpacked all of the boxes yet so who knows what else is broken. When my boyfriend asked why the boxes were so banged up and damaged he said "you bought crappy boxes". We bought brand new U-Haul boxes, which are reinforced on the sides, and that's what most people use when they move. When I asked about the insurance I signed for, he said there is no insurance and it's "not his problem". He said to call the phone number on the sheet I signed. I told him I did call the phone number, many times, and it's not even a real number. This is where he finally started to stumble. I told him I'll call it right now to show him and he said "oh no I believe you..." but then proceeds to say "just call them". When you dial the number for this company, it dials once and then it just beeps endlessly. The real kicker is, when he was on the way out, my apartment manager heard him talking on the phone and saying "they found out about the phone number." My apartment manager did not even know the situation and couldn't even make something like that up. This business is a complete scam and needs to be shut down immediately.

Desired Outcome

I honestly would like this business to be shut down. But since that probably won't happen, I would like my money back, and I would like the man who I dealt with on the California side to be fired immediately. He was rude and disrespectful, cursed my and my boyfriend out, broke my things, and lied to me about EVERYTHING in the process.
