Several items are damaged including my desktop computer. I've taken photos of my damaged belongings.There was a delay in my delivery.My move cost twice the amount of my binding moving estimate. I was mislead.I'm upset that on my move date the scheduled arrival of the movers for pickup was between 12pm - 4pm per dispatch. I had to wait until 845pm for the workers to arrive with no updates on timing.

Desired Outcome

Refund I'd like to be refunded and see satisfactory remuneration for my lost and damaged goods.

I certainly was overcharged twice the amount of my initial binding estimated quote for my move from North Carolina to Florida. Insured items were not directly explained and I have been left with damaged goods and left with poor insurance coverage. In addition, my furniture did not arrive in the agreed amount of time for delivery. This inconvenienced me greatly both monetarily and physically. Lastly by contract my movers were supposed to arrive for pick up and load in North Carolina between the hours of twelve noon to four o'clock. They arrived in the evening at nine o'clock which is a breach in contract and I should have to be remunerated for the 5 hour delay as stated in the terms in the contract. If I had known the cost beforehand I would have sent the laborers home. Yet at nine o'clock PM and my reservation to move set, I was left with no other alternative. I believe I was mistreated with the omission of factual binding moving agreement and the small business owner is not a pleasant individual to talk to. Star USA Moving Company should be put on notice for poor customer service and misinformation.

I was convinced by the moving company that I should elect minimum insurance coverage. Simply, I have no insurance. This deception continues and other customers will be duped into the same arrangement.

My main concern is the timing, poor workmanship, and how my estimated moving binding agreement and having had to pay twice that amount for my move is good business practice.

I've detailed this deception and continue to believe that the customer service is deceptive and manipulating.

Bill of Lading (contract)
Order for Service
Household Goods Descriptive Inventory (both pickup and final delivery copies)
Proof of any financial transaction made with the Service Provider (receipt, bank statement, ect)

We urge the customer to submit additional information as soon as possible so that we may address their issues. Be sure to highlight any notations made at the time of service implementing said concerns.

We strongly believe that with mutual consideration and understanding, we can easily reach a fair resolution and keep the relationship between all parties in good-standing.

I booked movers to pick up my furniture. I confirmed three times and on the day of the move the movers did not show. After speaking with their quotcustomer servicequot I was told the driver would be there the next day. After explaining that I needed to be out and had previously confirmed I was told that it was my problem.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have filed a complaint with MovingClaims.net, yet I have no doubt that Star USA Moving will continue their practice of unethical business dealings. I held up my end of the contract and mistakenly thought I was dealing with a reputable business. At every turn, I have been verbally attacked, brushed off, lied to, and then had to pay additional money due to the "incompetence" of one of their moving consultants. I will not be satisfied and will not resolve the complaint until I am refunded a substantial amount of the money I had to pay to this substandard vendor. I have no doubt that they scrambled to have someone from their company drive my goods from the warehouse in Atlanta on Friday, July 7th, after over a week of telling me that a driver would call me 24-48 hours before arriving and their flexible guidelines for determining the actual delivery date. Their inability to adhere to our contracts resulted in me being charged extra money from my apartment complex because I was in violation of my move-out date. Their claim that their moving consultant "***" was incompetent shows that they either don't train their employees properly, or they don't care that their customers are screwed when these unexpected additional charges appear. I was told the movers would arrive on a Sunday, they didn't show until Monday. I was told I could pay with a credit card upon pick-up, that was false. I was told the charge for stairs upon delivery was included in the moving quote, that was false. I was told the charge for stairs was $65, after the first flight, I was charged $150 for two flights of stairs. I was told my furniture would be delivered within 3-5 days of pick-up, that was false. I was given the runaround for ten days about my furniture delivery. The phone was either not answered, or was answered by someone on a mobile who told me that "someone would call me". And every time I called back I was asked "no one has called you?" After calling and emailing every day for 10 days, I finally received a call on Friday, July 7th that the furniture would be delivered later that afternoon. My furniture was delivered with several items broken, melted, and damaged. No matter when I called, the only detail Star USA Moving was concerned with was me having the correct amount of the postal money order when my furniture was delivered. I will submit all the requested paperwork to Star USA Moving, LLC, but I am confident they will do nothing to properly resolve this situation as every experience I have had with this group has been shockingly awful.
