My 6 lawsuits with the Stead Law Firm
I chose Stead & Associates to represent me with 6 lawsuits, 2 of them with a major US bank. Joseph and his team have been amazing at keeping me in the loop and doing what they promised to do. My lawsuits are business litigation suits involving fraud among many other issues. I highly recommend the Stead group if you’re looking for a legal team to help you fight for what’s right and get you the justice you deserve. If you’re a business owner like myself choosing the Stead law team is the best decision you can make. I gave Stead Law Firm 3,dollars because they said that I could get a lower interest rateI believed themThey keep telling me that I needed my checking account statements and pay stubs every monthThis went on for a yearIt was always something else they neededAfter a year of getting my information to them, they told me they could not help meI wrote to them and told them that, they should refund my money, since they did not do anything for me I could of refinance with a company, with the money I gave themDo not trust themThey keep me thinking that they were going to help me

[redacted] retained Stead Law Firm on July 26, Stead Law Firm upheld the terms of the retainer by completing the following: arial, sans-serif;"> · Firm Prequalification and File Set Up · Compilation of Documents and Legal Review and Analysis · Audit of Client Financials and Submission of a Mortgage Mitigation Package · Negotiate with Lender and Obtain Mitigation Resolution As a Law Firm we cannot make any promises or guarantees on results When client retained our firm, she was behind on her homeowners association dues; her HOA office had already started foreclosure proceedings which placed a mediation code on her mortgage account with the lender Upon final decision from the investor of the loan, the loan was approved for the Recap Modification program Modification prevented property from being foreclosed on We would be happy to discuss this information with borrower again If client is no longer able to afford staying in her home, we can look into any available exit optionsWe encourage borrower to contact us to discuss her current situation in regards to the propertyHowever, keep in mind that with the modification offer obtained from the investor stopped foreclosure and allowing her to stay in her home Per the terms of the retainer agreement, 100% of the retainer fee has been earned by Stead Law Firm [redacted] Processing Manager

I am not satisfied with this response because Steadlaw Firm did comply with the contract instead they are trying to take credit for services they did comply with
As of 1/10/2014, my modification was not processed due to imcomplete documents, although Stead Law did inform me via email several days before of some of the documents needed, I learned from my mortgage company that I need additional documents and that they had made several attempts to notify Stead law Frim and have not heard back, infact they wanted to close the caseAs of 1/10/2014, it was more apparent that this Law firm was not competnet to handle my caseand I assumed Fraudrelent activity on their partI asked my mortgager not to close the case and requested a list of items needed via telephone conversation
As 1/13/2014, I faxed over all the documents requested including a letter stating that Stead Law Firm will no longer be representing me, I also faxed and emailed a termination letter to Steadlaw on the same date, I did receive a response from them via E-mail from *** *** stating her surprise of my decison to terminate services and then a call from *** *** and another colleage wanting to discuss this matterI also requested that Steadlaw send a notice to wells Fargo informing them that they are no longer representing me, *** *** did acknowledge that the firm would do so, however they did notI made a formal request to Wells Fargo to have Steadlaw removed from account as representer, it was honored and I received a written confirmation from Wells Fargo
0n 2/4/2014, I received a message from someone named *** from Stead Law firm congradulating me and stating that they were able to get my modification approved, I was appauled because they were no longer representing me at this pointI received a call from ***, manager at Wells Fargo alos on 2/4/letting me know that my modification was approved, on 2/5/2014, I contacted wells Fargo, I questioned wells confidentiality policy and confirmed that SteadLaw Frim was not listed as a representer on my account , however *** from Steadlaw did call and was able to obtain information on my account with out authorization
Since 7/12/Stead law Firm contracted with me and took a $fee and did not help me whatsoever, they barely responded to me or the mortgager, they did not followup with any of the documents needed, due to their incompetence more than or modification were requested and or reinstated and lastley my mortgage went into active foreclosure due to their incompentence and the time lapseSteadlaw Firm did not comply with the contract, they handled business very unprofessionalI would like to have a full refund of my money $and compensation for emotional stress.

I gave Stead Law Firm 3,500.00 dollars because they said that I could get a lower interest rate. I believed them. They keep telling me that I needed my checking account statements and pay stubs every month. This went on for a year. It was always something else they needed. After a year of getting my information to them, they told me they could not help me. I wrote to them and told them that, they should refund my money, since they did not do anything for me . I could of refinance with a company, with the money I gave them. Do not trust them. They keep me thinking that they were going to help me.

Our client Brent Bates received calls from his lender which provided him with some upsetting information, which was partially inaccurate. Also, our authorization was removed from his account. After completing detailed lender conference call with our client, we confirm...

the information and documentation needed in his case to move forward. We contacted borrower to provide clarification of his case status and explained in detail what is needed from him and from our firm to move forward with his case. After said calls were completed, our client felt a lot better about the process and our service. We believe at this point in time, our client is happy and satisfied with the information we provided to him. We will continue handling his case and all of the processing needed pertaining to his case until said case is completed and done with his lender/investor.
