The first contact regarding the order to our Customer Service Department was on September 13, 2016, and the call was transferred to the Credit Department
We do not show any previous contact, and have no record of contact regarding product issues

fees, or points Fees that were disclosed to the client include Tittle company fees, taxes, tittle transfer fees that are due to the county etc Stearns Lending does collect an appraisal fee that goes directly to the appraisal company In new construction it is common to charge an appraisal fee and a re-inspection fee to ensure that all the options that were chosen by the client were installed All fees were disclosed to the client and were signed and acknowledged by the clientThe client is also fully aware that appraisal fees are non-refundable, whether the loan closes or not All appraisals are paid for upfront with clients credit/debit cardWe have the client’s signed authorization regarding the Appraisal

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I am not pleased they turned an unpaid amount over to collections on this because their final bill to me was in the amount of $302.89 which was paid. Nothing was ever sent to me indicating there was another balance in the amount of $96.58. It could not have been Spring Hill because that amount has been paid as well. The two companies need to have a better accounting system in order to provide adequate customer service. I will not order anything, and advise anyone else to be cautious about ordering from either company. As I stated before more than half of the plants and/or bulbs did not survive. I am very dissatisfied with their products overall. I do recommend their irises and that is about it. Shame on them.

Review: Stearns Lending has a website that they promote on their phone lines. The website name is www.[redacted]com. When my wife and I decided to try the website for our home mortgage for paperless billing, we had a very frustrating experience. I paid my mortgage bill online for November in the first week. Several days after, the lending company charged my account again for the same amount. This overdrew my checking account. Stearns customer service required a statement proving the mistake, which I understand, but it was a hassle to accomplish in the middle of the work week. The next day, the situation was resolved. However, several days after that, the lending company charged my account again for the same amount. Over $6,500 in several days! So I had to go through the entire process again and I'm currently waiting to be reimbursed..again. The best explanation I have received is a "glitch in the website". For a large lending company that deals with thousands of dollars a day, a "glitch" doesn't cut it for me. This website is flawed. I have since deleted my account information from the website and will be using paper bills from this point forward.Desired Settlement: Obviously, a full refund of the amount taken and reimbursement of any bank or bounced check fees that occurred as a result of this glitch.
