We had a house fire in early July 2016. My parents wife and 2 little kids were all at home. Mother who was unable to walk was stuck but our firefighters did manage to rescue her. I would like to share my story for anyone out there. It is 100% truthfully. Prior to and after, I have no personal gain or loss. This is all my own experience. My family and my life had turned upside down. We lost everything material in life, very quickly and unexpectedly. We became homeless due to fire. We were displaced. We had a great insurance provider and they did what they could to get us into a temporary housing situation. Our house was damaged to the point that it could not be repaired. We had to rebuild. I had searched for several home builders,did my research, and chatted with them. They were good, but none of them seemed to care much about me or my family. It was more so as to what they are going to do and not do. When your life is displaced, a sense of unhappy mistrust does develop. I was then introduced to the owner of Stefan Homes Randy ***. I had already narrowed down to 3 builders one being Stefan Homes. My father and I had a meeting at our local *** with Randy. Why It was to be a half hour meeting, which turned out to be almost 3 hours. After meeting with Randy, everything changed. He was thoughtful, respectful, and honest. He never pushed it. He spoke to us like we mattered and not just like this was just another contract potential. During our talks, he showed me the work he had done, and it was absolutely amazing. Now as a custom home builder, in this day and age, people are all about themselves, what serves there purpose. Here is a guy, who has everything, yet he gave us a feeling of trust. People will tell you what you want to hear to close a deal. Or they have done so well, they simply don't care. Here is a man who has done very well, yet so humble and caring. He really did not need us, yet he took it upon himself to help us at a time when nothing seemed possible. So after my first meeting, my guards were down. My father and I right away liked him. He is an honest respectful family man. In the next little while, whenever we needed him, he was there. He always put us first.Long story short, we had to go through some hoops with the City and getting permits etc. Randy and his team went to bat for us. There was a technical process to go through with Insurance but in the end we wanted Randy and Stefan homes and we were fortunate to have Stefan Homes as our builder. Once we had all things sorted, it is now January 12 2017, almost 6 months to the date of the fire. We had a small window of time to get the demo and rebuild done. Due to delays we lost 3 months effectively of crucial time. We like Stafan Home, we trust him, but we only have 4 months to do this rebuild. Can he deliver? Things beyond control, certain laws of nature, weather, supplies and material being delivered, permits, engineer reports etc etc. This man and his team worked tirelessly. I mean it when I say this. They say you are as good as the people you surround yourself with. Randy himself had with him a team that worked in record time, skillful, professional, and just amazing. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of work that had to be done. Last minute changes, limitations, but Randy really went through hoops for us. In the end, we had ourselves a beautiful house with the best quality of material, workmanship, and style. It was done so on record time. People can say what they want, but when someone works tirelessly to deliver and stand by their word, and commitment with Integrity, it needs to be mentioned. Stefan homes not only rebuilt our home, he rebuilt our lives. His work is superior and speaks for itself. The positive experience we had is beyond words. What made Stefan Homes wonderful? Him &his people. His staff just wonderful people. My family - parents, wife and 2 boys, we all love Randy like family. This is not just blanket words. He was always honest from the get go. He would never say yes to anything that was wrong. If we were out of our minds, he would tell us. It showed he truly cared. You cant fake that stuff. We don't know what goes into the building process. He left nothing to the imagination. He says what he will do and he does what he will say. We all are sitting in our house safe and comfortable. Today January 13, exactly 18 months from fire and 1 year since Demo. We give Stefan Homes 5 Stars if not more. The best of the best. Not just our builder but friend for life. Clearly I would recommend him to everyone!!! There is no question. Hard to find someone who is honest, and a true and good human being. We as a family thank Randy and Stefan Homes. Proof is in the pudding, and one can only share this through experience. I speak from the heart.
