I reject this response from Window World because they fail to take responsibility for their incompetence both in terms of service delivery and communication Yes, there were three contractsnone of which were ever concomitant or fulfilled dur to Window World's inability to [1] effectively communicate internally - salesperson, measurer, production - and [2] and deliver The first contract specifications could not be produced by Window World's factoryWhy the salesperson did not know what the specs could be, I don't knowIndeed, even when the measurer and was speaking with the salesperson they had different understandings of what was and was not possible The second contract was fouled up between the salesperson, measurer and others at Window WorldI have no idea how weeks after the order they somehow did not know what the number of windows were and how many there should beAmazingHad to do up the third contract The contract they could not deliver despite having set an install date and not keeping itNot only did they not keep it, they never contacted me in anyway -- phone, fax, email, telegram -- letting me that they were not going to show upThis despite the fact that I did all I could to keep my end of the deal which meant making sure that I left work in the Philippines to come back on May (Friday) for the install date of MayAgain, they did not show up nor show me the courtesy of letting me knowI even called them that Friday to confirm the date and was told that I would be contacted that eveningNo one calledOn Saturday no one came to the house, called me OR answered my callsProfessionalism at its finest The icing on Window World's incompetence cake was when I finally was able to talk to the fellow from Window World who responded to my original Revdex.com complaintEven then, after speaking with several senior managers, he admitted that he could not tell me what the correct order wasWhat? I have already outlined the storyWe were on contract number The first two were done for different reasons So in effect, this guy and his team of professionals, was telling me yet again that they screwed up the third contract and we'd have to do another one It was I who told them that they should cancel the whole thing with full and transparent intentions of reporting them to Revdex.comHe agreed, as did his boss, and all was cancelled This whole thing has cost me time, money, frustration, etcworking on months now Do not work with Window World I never expected them to make good on my complaintIndeed, even the response provided shifts blame to me or at least does not squarely put it on themIt is somehow my fault that the contracts in question are like Chinese Whispers for these folksCustomer says one thing, salesperson hears/says another and it continues all the way to production Unbelievable Tongue lashing? You deserve a law suitbut I have no more time to deal with you or thisOff to find a better outfit and get this job done

We have tried repeatedly to reach this customer but nobody has yet to answer the phone and we cannot leave a message due to a full voicemailWe ask that customer please provide us with another contact numberThank you,Duane M***Operations ManagerWindow World of DC

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We are not the one to violated the contract it is this company who did so fully knowing they never wanted to install windowsThis company has violated the contract and must be as such called out for doing so The Company for many months has given us a runaround when they had no intention of installing the windows and as such we had to contact [redacted] to put hold on the advance until the company is forced to in writing respond to their contract violation which is under process now As sent to you earlier only once the company installs the windows now will they be paid else they will be taken action against Evidence of their payment invoice showing no payment is due was sent to you After three years if this company wants to make us responsible for their lack of process its not acceptable We still do not mind paying but we will release payment now once windows are installed else we will let DPOR take action.Revdex.com needs to mark this complaint as unresolved and notate that on the vendor records.Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Your contract front and back clearly states: “Homeowner will
be present when work is done and also inspect, sign completion form and pay the
balance at the time of completion of the job”.
Your installers abruptly quit before finishing, did not present a
completion form, said they were not coming back to complete the job, and didn’t
come back. You would need to supply a copy of the signed completion
form to substantiate your claim, but you do not have itYou did not live up to
your own contract in terms of installation or procedure regarding the
completion form. The contract does state
that work would be complete within days and I specifically asked the
salesman about that. He said to not
worry about that, the work would be completed in two weeksSo that is an
intentional misrepresentation which amounts to advertising and an unfair
sales practice designed to mislead consumers.
If your salesman had said that it would take up to days to complete
the work I would never have signed your contract and certainly would have
chosen another companyI had to get the job completed immediately on 6/3/to
protect my investment in the newly constructed bedroom in my basement which
would have been flooded during the heavy rains at that timeThe Whisonant Co that you mentioned was called
to complete the gutter spout but stated that his gutters did not fit
yours. I was told I could cancel if you
came back, but you didn’t, and you didn’t respond to my calls In fact, there was no response from you until
8/5/responding to the complaint I sent to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com)
about your incomplete job. Even then,
there was no mention of why the job had not been completed, and why your
installers did not comply with your contract.
The fact that you never attempted to respond to my calls or come back
and complete the work after two months demonstrates that you had no intention
of doing itTherefore, I am due my
deposit on the job your installers didn’t complete.
Regards,
*** ***

*** *** has also chosen to contact the Virginia Attorney General, so at this time we will not be responding to any Revdex.com requests.Thank you

We have reviewed this complaint and ordered the missing windowOnce we have an ETA, we will reach out to *** ***Thank you,Duane M***

Mr*** has been a customer of Window World of DC, Incsince and we have done several projects for him since 2008. When he submitted the contract in question he was informed that a balance remained on the contract from 08-13-for garage doors. He said that he had paid the
balance. We asked that he proved a copy of the statement that had the payment for the installation of the garage doors since we have no record of payment. It should be around September 23, for the amount of$ 671.00. This should not be a problem since he has stated he has all of his *** statements. On the second amount that has not been collected, I will write off the balance of $that was on two windows from April that were installed in July in the interest of customer service. Since Mr*** does not want to do business with us, we will cancel his contract. He has disputed his *** payment; therefore, there is nothing to refund. However he still has a balance with us in the amount of $

*** ***,We have tried several times to resolve this with you and unfortunately we can't agree on a resolutionAs you have stated, there are separate contracts but only one valid oneThe first contract was for windows, which was cancelledThe 2nd contract for windows which was ordered,
and then a 3rd contract which was to replace the 2nd contract arrived after the 2nd contract was orderedAs the contract states, From time to time, windows come in that don't fit properly or have a factory defectWindow World of DC, Inc will re-order at no cost to the customer but the customer is not entitled to any refund or discount, nor will Window World of DC, Incbe responsible for any missed work days the homeowner may incurWe certainly understand your frustration but there has been no disrespect by Window WorldYou have called here since the very onset threatening to cancelI was also the recipient of a curse laden tongue lashing simply for taking your callWe have offered solutions but what you are requesting is not possible and we think it is best to cancel the contract and refund your money if you find this agreeableWe will not be held hostage and give you complementary windows, installation, or delivery because the specs of this project keep changingSincerely, Duane M*** Operations Manager###-###-####

Window World of DC, Incdid not misrepresent how the
windows would look. We originally saw
*** *** on February 3, and then received his contract on November 2,
2015. He also received pictures via email
on 2-20-with a tape measure showing the size of the window frame
because he
had concerns about the frame dimensions.
He is correct that when we went to our scheduled installation
appointment he did not let us install his custom made windows because he did
not like the size of the frame. He had
many months to view and analyze the frame width before he called in his payment
and sent in the contract. I think after
he sent in the contract he found a cheaper product and changed his mind about
the contract that he executed with us based on his statement regarding ***
Glass. One reason that he filed “repeated
complaints with *** ***” is because they allowed his charge for the
deposit to stand as processed. We will
cancel the remaining portion of the contract but the deposit will not be
refunded due to the cost of his custom made windows that were made specifically
for his home

*** ***, We have taken responsibility by taking action and offering solutionsWe have also agreed to let you out of your contractPer the contract that you signed, let me quote "Since this contract calls for custom made-to-order goods, it is not subject to cancellation, except as stated on this contractStart of installation will be approximately to weeks from date of this contract, with work complete within days." We are still well within the days and attempted to install within 4-weeksWe are trying to address your concerns but you are refusing to let us resolve thisYou have been offered a discount of $and refusedWe have offered you a refund per your request and you refuse, we have offered to order the windows instead of the and refused, now I am offering you a refund with 10% interest from the date of depositI also want to point out that the contract states "From time to time, windows come in that don't fit properly or have a factory defectWindow World of DC, Incwill re-order at no cost to the customer but the customer is not entitled to any refund or discount, nor will Window World of DC, Incbe responsible for any missed work days the homeowner may incur." With all due respect, when we talked on the phone, you wanted to cancel the contract and this was agreed to on the phone before the Revdex.com complaint was filedYou also discussed this with our production manager Greg P*** when I transferred you to himEven in your rejection response toward the end you clearly state, "It was I who told them that they should cancel the whole thing with full and transparent intentions of reporting them to the Revdex.com"This is exactly what we are trying to do, cancel the whole thing but you will not allow us to do thatWe consider this contract cancelled per your request as of our phone call on 5/28/and confirmed in your Revdex.com complaintWe will gladly give *** *** a refund but as I outlined above, every response we have offered to help resolve this has not been satisfactory even after we do as he wishesThese are custom windows, not home depot specialsFrom time to time, things do go wrong and as I stated previously, we reserve the right in our contract that you signed to fix these issues but you will not allow us to do thatInstead you wanted to cancel and we honored your request Sincerely,Duane M***Operations Manager***
