Very professional and friendly experience

Great job all around.drivers, loaders at pickup efficient and courteous, as were the drop off team. Driver was punctual at drop off site as well.

We moved from Connecticut to South Carolina in June of 2017. A local company picked up our household goods and stored them in Connecticut. Stevens Worldwide Van lines was to pick up our goods in Connecticut and deliver them to South Carolina. They gave us a delivery date of July 5th. On June 29th they called and said it would be delayed because a driver quit. It is strange that a company that calls itself Worldwide Van lines doesn't have any contingency plans if one driver quits or gets sick. They gave us 2 other dates for delivery and they cancelled them with no excuse. The fourth delivery date was cancelled because of a military move. I finally contacted a lawyer and on the 5th date our goods arrived July 19th- 2 weeks late. We came to South Carolina with only a carful of personal stuff. We had NOTHING here. I spoke to the President who told me that this is not their usual customer service and apologized but that they did not get our things here sooner. Their customer service was not bad -it was non-existent. They did give us an "inconvenience" check. This was not an inconvenience but a hardship not to mention the stress they put us through. We would have preferred our things delivered in a timely manner than to receive a check.

I have used Stevens for a few moves and have been completely satisfied each time! They are professional, upfront and always make sure you are satisfied. The moving crews are very friendly, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend Stevens for any move, short or long distance. Their storage facilities are great too!

My latest move was from Michigan/Chicago to Florida. Katie, Sean and Domingo were professional, efficient and fun. They went above and beyond to make sure things were satisfactory. I would use this crew and company any time!

Stevens is the best movers to use. There are no surprises with the price and no surprises with service. They are very careful with your items and wrap things with lots of packing blankets. Pierre, the driver, was very knowledgeable and efficient, as well as enjoyable to talk to while the workers are and loading and unloading the truck. Their workers are all employees of Stevens--not daily help, and act very professionally and polite. I will always use Stevens for any other moves I make.

Job was done expertly, had an issue with a driver with a personal family matter and the crew had to be replaced at the last moment, but other than that, no problems.

Damages were incurred during a move on Oct 1st to a grand piano player assembly and 2 dining room chairs. Claim was filed on Oct 13th. Claim # 01-***. Claim Rep ***.

Stevens Moving & Storage Response

We have received the Revdex.com complaint filed by Mr. *** under complaint ID #*** pursuant to the relocation we performed for Mr. & Mrs..

On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Mr. & Mrs. may have experienced with this recent relocation. We have reviewed the complaint filed and find as follows:

Mr. filed a claim with Stevens Van Lines on 10/13/17. On the same day, Stevens Van Lines claim adjuster *** sent an email to Mr. acknowledging receipt of the claim and requesting photographs of the damaged items. On 10/15/17, Mr. emailed the requested photographs to Ms.. On 11/10/17 Ms. sent authorization to our repair firm to contact Mr. to set up an appointment to inspect and reassemble the piano. On 11/13/17 Mr. advised Ms. that he plans on disputing the move charges on this credit card. An appointment for the inspection/reassembly of the piano was set with Mr. for 12/1/17; however, due to an illness the repair firm had to reschedule the appointment. The new inspection date has been set for 12/15/17. Mr.’s complaint was that no action had been taken regarding his claim. However, based on the chronology we have presented, we respectfully dispute Mr.’s assertion.

On 12/7/17 we received notice from American Express that Mr. is disputing the moving related charges applied to his credit card. A letter was sent to Mr. on 12/7/17 stating that no further action can be taken on this claim as there is now a balance due. Under the Filed Rate Doctrine, a customer cannot be excused from paying for the move because goods suffered loss or damage or because the customer perceives that they did not receive the quality of service to which they were entitled. Once Mr. pays the balance due, we will resume processing his claim.

Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Mr. & Mrs. may have experienced and trust this response will able to you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.

We have 2 mixed reviews of Stevens. First time we used your service, it was great. You packed and moved our belongings interstate, few items were damaged, but you reimbursed them without any problem. Second time was a nightmare. This time, we packed. Your guy came to give us estimate and went through all things that did not need to be packed, like book shelves, metal racks, couch, other big items. We followed his instructions on how to pack. We even bought insurance for just in case. Your movers prepared the couches, they arrived damaged. The metal racks, bend to the point they could not stand straight anymore. Our IKEA cubicle arrived with shoe prints on the shelves, looked like someone used it as a step/ladder. And here is the catch: during loading, the driver who recorded all the items, marked the damage items as used condition, which means that when we filed a complaint, they would not want to reimburse us because it was considered already damaged before loading (Damage because of regular use is different than damage if someone climbed on it, or dropped it!) After unloading to our new home, the driver asked to sign the paper, and told us that they could not leave the site unless we signed. We told him about the damage, and he told us, that it would need to be claimed using different form. This has been one nightmare after another. When we finally submit our claim, Stevens rejected because we have signed the paper that the driver asked us to sign. Stevens' reason as stated is "There is no evidence that damage is caused by our handling." They dropped some of our stuff in front of our eyes!!!! What evidence? Word of advice for anyone using this service: DO NOT let them write the condition of every item of your belongings without your knowledge (I know it would be very difficult if you have 500 boxes or items to pack!), DO NOT sign anything until you check every item and write down the damage IN FRONT of the driver, and ask him to sign as witness, and INSURANCE.. We feel that insurance is just a way to get our money for free. Who cares if the driver claimed that he was running late, or he has to be somewhere else... We trusted him, and we did not want him to be late, now we suffered for the consequences. Stevens are still responsible for this. We have been trying to work with you, but instead, you denied our eligible claim with unreasonable excuse. We have been very patient, but you failed us. We would not recommend using this service.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. So far I am over $20K in claims. I think since we are military they truly could have cared less about our items. I watched them drag things over the concrete and yard out of my home. They didn't bring proper packing materials to wrap any beds or furniture. They did not have any tools to disassemble. Not bags for parts and pieces so when we got unloaded at our destination most items weren't able to be reassembled. Just a night mare all around. I did not want to leave a negative review and hoped they would make this right however STILL over 2 months later NOTHING has been done. So sad.

We decided months ago to use Stevens Worldwide Van Lines (Saginaw, MI) for our move cross-country from Michigan to California. From beginning to end, at every "moment of truth," it was all positive. The first person to visit us to estimate the cost did a great job and made us feel confident (Katie), our Coordinator Andrea was also great. The packers did an excellent job and the movers were wonderful to work with, headed by Nick and William. One item suffered some damage, but other than that one item everything arrived in great shape. It was an outstanding experience and we highly recommend using Stevens if you are going through the moving process.

This company is th e very best in the moving industry. I really appreciated the way they worked with us to help make our move a success. Everyone we dealt with was completely professional. Thanks Stevens!

Stevens Worldwide Van Lines was great to work with. Moved from Concrete WA to Durand WI Office staff, movers and driver were all friendly and organizer. Our shipment made it across country with nothing damaged or broken. We would recommend Steven to anyone. Thanks Stevens

We contracted with Stevens Worldwide Van Lines through their local agent in ***, Oregon, *** We were relocating to Kentucky. We arranged with them to hold our belongings in storage until we had an address for delivery in Kentucky. They picked up our furniture and belongings on July 15, 2017. I spoke with *** of *** on August 7 to let him know that we would be closing on our house and that we were ready for furniture delivery. He said that our things would load on August 18 and be delivered between August 25 and 28th. In fact, it wasn't delivered until August 31 because it wasn't loaded until around the 24th or 25th per the driver. And, when it was delivered, it was only a partial shipment. The rest was to come later. When I spoke with *** on August 25 and 26th, he didn't seem to have any of that information. I had received an email from Stevens van lines telling me the driver was to be ***. It was *** who actually delivered.

Since August 31st I have been trying to find out when we would get the rest of our belongings. September 1st I was told that delivery would be on Sept 5th. On the 5th I was told it would be today, September 15. Today *** didn't know when it would come. He made several calls, mentioned 2 other companies (agents) involved and said he'd call me when he had information on delivery.
The service had been totally unacceptable. First our load was split and then it was in limbo. Stevens doesn't seem to have a clue where our things are and their communication with the local agent in *** has been spotty at best. *** says he is looking on their computer system and delivery was confirmed for September 15th. Apparently that is meaningless information.

Stevens Moving & Storage Response

We apologize for the delay in delivering the remaining portion of Ms. household goods. I did verify with our operations department the shipper received her goods 9/20/17.

We have forwarded an Inconvenience Claim form to the email address we have on file for Ms..

Thank you.

Worst move ever! We have moved several times using a National Company, this was without a doubt the most inexperienced and poorly trained group we have ever experienced. They damaged several pieces of furniture, crushed boxes, broke a fishing pole, could not re-assemble furniture, scraped walls and took at least double the time to load and in-load compared to all other movers even with additional personnel! The owner was rude and insulting and offered no apology for the poor service other than to say we will need to "submit a claim"!

Excellent and timely service both from a communications and packing/shipping experience.

Stevens Van lines packed up my household items for a military PCS move to from Toledo, Ohio to Honolulu, Hawaii. My items were in perfect condition and packed in the crates perfectly! Highly satisfied!

The service we received from Stevens Van lines was appalling.
1) They subcontracted the packing and loading of the moving van to an outfit called Smooth Moves (they’re anything but smooth). Half the guys they sent us looked like they walked straight out of rehab. The other half looked like they knew what they were doing however, they were the “bosses” so they stood around directing the “rehab” guys to do the packing and loading.
2) During the packing and loading of the van, the “rehab” guys damaged numerous items including bed frames, wall units, couches, chairs, desks, refrigerator, treadmill, freezer along with countless miscellaneous household items amounting to thousands of dollars in damages. It got so bad that the driver of the van apologized to us multiple times reassuring us that we will be reimbursed for any damages.
3) When we filed a claim on the refrigerator, treadmill, freezer and household items only, they came back and said many of the items were damaged prior to the move (this is simply not the case and we’re in the process of gathering affidavits from several witnesses who were present throughout the move) and sent us a check for $156.
If you value your stuff, avoid at all costs using Stevens Van Lines.

Stevens and their associate Sheridan were better than ourstanding. Starting from the sales associate Brett to the delivery crew of Ed, Eddie and Deb were incredible. On time, polite, organized, neat. thorough, details oriented. I have moved with many other nationally known brands, but these company is in a class by itself. Thanks you so much.

Dale J. Cook Moving & Storage, Inc in Charleston, SC with Stevens Worldwide was a dream come true. Their movers were careful, respectful, courteous and cooperative. I was told they are in the service business and they provided excellent service. Reasonably priced and they bent over backward to make moving easy. Karen even delivered boxes and packing paper to my home. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Braun did an excellent job. Easy to book, quick and professional on the day of the move - painless! (And I was so worried)
