Student Loan Assistance is in the business of helping consumers work through the paperwork potential pitfalls whenconsolidating their federal Student Loans.   We are paid a fee for these services and t his was disclosed from the beginningto the client.   We helped set up a new plan on her...

loan and arranged for a payment plan with her to pay for our services.  Student Loan Assist did complete the work and received payment as the client requested over an extended payment plan.  We believe we disclosed the cost of the service and completed our work for which we were paid.  This was completed last fall as requested by the client.Sincerely,[redacted]

I'm sorry, but I will continue to fight this until I get my refund. I had been told that I provided everything and once my final payment went through, I didn't hear from them for months. I sent periodic emails and got no responses. It wasn't until I began to get upset that they responded and suddenly it was all my fault because I didn't provide income information they never asked me for. I just want my money back and I want away from this mess. On October 21st, I received an email from them stating that a request for my refund has been sent in. I have sent two emails since then to check on an update and of course, I've gotten no response from them. I have not been mean to them or anything. Naturally, I'm very upset and frustrated now but I have every right to be. It's not right for a business to ignore a customer, even when they're upset. My emails are constantly being ignored until I send one after I've gotten angry. I don't like being pushed to that point just to get a response.I appreciate your help with this and I'm sorry for the trouble. I really just want my money back. I never should have gone to them for help.

We did her consolidation, but she did not want to move forward  when the income base part came into play and wanted money back and cancel.  I explained we did the consolidation and needed to finish but she said no and wants money back.  That is not our refund policy since we did the...

loan and no good reason to cancel.  .

To Whom It May Concern:
I just received notice a complaint filed against my company with the Revdex.com by Mr. [redacted]. This complaint has been filed against the wrong company. We do not call anyone 5 times a day. In fact we very rarely make outbound calls at all, we just do not have the manpower. The company he should be filing a complaint against is most likely using a high powered Auto Dialer and their business is supported by outbound calling with an army of people. There is a company located in Florida that we have been getting mixed up with, so it is understandable, and I don't hold any resentment towards Mr. [redacted]. My wife works in the public school system and she would not want to be harassed such as he is. I am very sorry that he is going through this, but this is a case of mistaken identity.
We obtained [redacted] information back in February 10, 2014 that he wanted to know more about Student Loan Consolidation, from a social media link ad. Because we are only a company of 4 people, we left one message for him on Wednesday 3/26/2014 at 2:49PM Pacific Standard Time. [redacted] one of our advisors left the message on his recorder, which was never returned. That was our "one and only communication" with him and call made to his phone number ###-###-#### provided. We do send out e-mails, once we are notified to stop we remove the e-mail address from our database. That basically is our business model and how we reach out to our potential clients. That may be how he received our phone number. It is the only logical explanation.
Our records show that we received an incoming call from Mr. [redacted]'s number ###-###-#### on Thursday July 3, 2014 at 3:51PM Pacific Time. He spoke with [redacted] who updated his file to Archived status and removed his information.
I hope this clears matters up for you and you find the real culprits that deserve a complaint against them, not us.
If you need any more information feel free to call me on my cell phone ###-###-####
I also reached out to Mr. [redacted] by e-mail to let him know.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  They said in their letter that they do not give out emails, but didn't say they don't give out phone numbers.  Did they give my phone number to another company?
How can I mix up their company with another company when the company I call back says they got my number from them?
If there is another company that somehow gets mixed up with them, what is the name of that company?  Why not clear it up?
I'm guessing that after I concluded my business with them, they gave out my number to other companies, for whatever reason, but might not want to admit that.

Review: On November 17, 2015 I contacted [redacted] at Student Loan Assist Inc. We talked over the next several days about loan forgiveness and consolidation of my student loans. She was extremely responsive and called me several times after I said I would call her back. After discussing my student loans and the need to consolidate I agreed to pay the consolidation fee. [redacted] informed me it would be made in 3 installments of $200.00 each which were . She also informed me someone from their underwriting department would contact me so I could provide pay stubs and W2s in order to determine what my loan payment would be. Since then I have had no contact with [redacted] or anyone else at Student Loan Assist. I have left many many messages for [redacted] as well as sent emails. I have received no response, thought they now have my $600.00 payment.Desired Settlement: I would like the $600.00 I paid refunded.

Review: Last year in May I contacted Student Loan Assistance and spoke to [redacted], a student loan advisor. He told me he could reduce my student loan payment to somewhere between 88 and $100 a month, and the program would give me loan forgiveness after 10 years of government service. I agreed and paid the $149 fee for his service, which involved filing all of the paperwork. A few months ago I received a letter from Fed Loan Servicing, the company that now carries my student loans asking me to recertify which involves providing them with my tax returns for proof of income. My monthly payment is based on my income. Since my income was only $1000 more in 2014 than in 2013 I did not expect much of a difference if any in my monthly payment. However, I learned today that my payment increased from $88 to $328. When I asked how this could be a representative looked into and stated that I had claimed 4 dependents in 2013 and none in 2014. Evidently, in order to make my monthly payment as low as Mr. [redacted] had promised he lied about the number of dependents I had. Now, that I am reporting the correct number of dependents my student loan payment has gone from $88 to $328. I called Student Loan Assistance twice today asking to speak to someone in charge. I called at 7 am and spoke to [redacted] and explained what transpired and said that I want a refund. He stated there was no management in yet as it was only 7 am. I did not receive a call back so I called again at 11:40 am and spoke to [redacted]. She stated no one from management was in. I again explained what transpired and asked for a return call. I never got a call back. I'm disgusted by the poor customer service I am receiving after one of their student loan advisors essentially committed fraud in my name.Desired Settlement: I want a call from someone in management and a refund. Additionally, I would like some sort of fix to my current student loan issue. My student loan payment is now more than it was prior to my contacting Student Loan Assistance.

Review: This company scammed me out of money to help pay off my student loans. It turns out all they were doing was paper work that the government offers for free with out charge. I am very upset with the fact that my hard earned money was taken and I probably wont get back. People need to realize want this company is doing.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded the full amount.

Review: The company stated I was approved for student loan forgiveness. Took their fee and I found out February 23, 2015 I was denied! On June 12, 2014 I spoke to [redacted] regarding the student loan forgiveness program. She asked questions to verify that I would qualify for the program. She sent me a reference sheet to fill out. I filled it out and sent a copy of my paystub on June 12, 2014. [redacted] let me know that I qualified and they would do all my papaerwork for me. The fee was $327 and was deducted from my checking account over 3 months at $109. June 16, 2014 I emailed [redacted] asking for a status. I received no response. June 27, 2014 I emailed [redacted] again stating that I received a letter from my loan company saying they received my application. On August 18, 2014, I sent [redacted] another email asking what the next steps were. I have never received a reply. I spoke with my loan company on February 23, 2015 and they tell me that my application was denied after [redacted] told me I qualified. I want my $327 back.Desired Settlement: I am seeking $37. This is the amount that was deducted from my checking account.
