These dead sticks are not live treesThey no longer answer their phone during business hours and the voicemail says "box full", nor do they answer their emailsA total scam

I do warn those in the middle states such as VA: the nursery distributes as receives from area nurseries and ships up north or down south per weather and charges whether shipping or not! I live in VA; orders were never sent to me yet they charged meA month later they ran out of trees they said and would refundTwo months after calling them weekly I finally received a refundWeekly they gave me excuses: order has been cancelled as requested ( you must REQUEST a refund even if they have nothing left to send you) and sent to refund dept( no direct telno); "it's an outside refund dept."; "I will speak directly to the owner"; they are working on it; the woman will see it on top of the pile of requests Monday; the lady was sick and just came in today (months later); Monday they will send you a check; and they then actually had nerve to call me that the "check is in the mail"!!!!
Finally almost 1/months later after weekly calls I received the "checks " week apart dates to deposit
Thank you Summerstone for a unique experience in poor customer service

Terrible service, do not answer the phone ordered apricot trees ($30), never got the plants Please look at the google reviews on Summerstone Nursery So many people complain Do not return money

All the reviews about this company are 100% accurate
I only found this site since it was a top paid result on Google (they should pay more attention to who they let advertise, but that's a different issue)
Needless to say- After emails and phone calls to cancel my order after not seeing a shipping confirmation for nearly three weeks (no response) a box arrived today

I ordered several trees from Summerstone from their flier that advertised $trees and shrubs AFTER submitting my order, I started reading reviews I was stunned at the amount of negative reviews I then phone the nursery "As I expected" I was told that they are a very large nursery and send out thousands of order, so a or so was not so bad I told them that I would keep my order and see when the order came if I was satisfied
The order came today and all was as expected (for bare root items)They even sent a few more of each type So far, my experience is positive I planted all the items on the day they were received....I will wait until spring to make any further comments As for now, my experience is POSITIVE

I placed order from Summerstone Nursery on 3/3/, next day I receive a Thank You E-Mail show Billing address Ca,and Shipping Address AlZip code, phone number, e-mail address all same , I than e-mail them on 3/4/to let them know, never hear from them, I waited one more week and send them another e-mail, ( No Response ), their phone number alway busy, after time trying, I got a hold of a lady, she say their e-mail box is out off order, they will ship my order in day, I told her cancel that order, if I want it next month, I order next monthI waited days and they did not ship it, Bad service

Been waiting over a month for my orderThey took their money, but I still don't have my productsWon't answer the phone and they don't want you to e mail!! Wish I had seen all the negative reviews on this company before!!

Last year when my plants arrived they were all dead I was told to wait until Jan/Febof and send pieces of each dead plant and not the entire plant to them at that timeI did I received and e-mail that my plants were shipped and I would soon have them That was almost months ago Guess soon has another definition for them It means NEVER I lost the plants and the money Their guarantee means nothings They are the biggest liars ever Do not do business with these people They are the biggest rip off I have ever dealt with on line Every other on line business has been honest and fair in every way This has been the only sorry rotten apple in the basket

I placed an order on April 15th and as of June 11th I still do not have my plants I've tried calling and all I get is a busy signal I received the so called free plant but not the plants I wanted and paid for I emailed them back in May and they said my order had been shipped but the only thing I got was a stick that was marked as the free gift I'm so aggravated with this company!!

Do not buy from this company I ordered a couple of trees on March At the end of March, I did not receive any tree or email from them I called them A lady told me that they would not ship unless I had told them a shipping date What a business! I told her that I would be out of the country for days in the middle of April, so please ship the order out She said there shouldn't be a problem On April 1st, I called in again A lady said the order was processed, just wait for email confirmation I waited a whole week Yesterday, I called in
a lady was rude She said it was my fault not telling them a shipping day when I placed the order The order would be shipped I asked for a tracking number She said there was no tracking# It would take to business days to get to you If she was telling the truth ever, the order will reach us right in the period that nobody is at home! How stupid is this company? I asked for supervisor She said she was and cut off the line This is a scam business I wish I checked internet reviews before I placed order

I orderd two trees and one free bush. I almost forgot I had ordered them, that is how long it took to get them. When I called inquiring about where my order was I was informed that the northern orders were processed first because of weather and ground freezing. The southern orders, which is where I am, were shipped afterwards. I did recieve all dead looking twigs.....but I planted them anyways to see what would happen. My trees have leaves coming out on them and my bush is full of tiny leaves. For the money I thought it was great! The service could been better by just notifying the customer of the delay of the order reason.....I would order from them again!

My husband ordered plants - looked great in pictures- but when arrived - in US mail brown package - I was dismayed - ALL were dead, none looked like the photos. I was not expecting large plants, but I was also not expecting dead ones.
Beware! DO NOT BUY!

I ordered 23 tree saplings from Summerstone Nursery, March 2016 received them May 2016. When I opened the box it looked like they sent 23 dead twigs. About half of the sapling didn't have any sort of root system with it. I planted all of the trees the same day in hopes that they would bounce back but it is not looking promising.

Fraudulent business, all plants received were totally dead!!!!

I bought two Barberry bushes in May . I talked to someone from Summers Nursery in October .They said my plants would be ready in November .Now its ALMOST December. I PAID OUT 14.65 for plants I have not received.

I filed 2 orders with Both arrived in great condition. The free items were shipped together with the trees at the roots. Great care was taken with the root system so they would not dry out. I have read other reviews and think that what has happened is that the dry or dead twigs are either the free items or small trees 1-2 foot. When a small tree is sent the way Summerstone ships them the trees are asleep. They look dead but they are not. I got black hawk raspberry free they were small look like dead twigs but in fact were in sleep mode roots were still moist next to the trees soaked roots before planting. I kept in contact with Summerstone who emailed me when shipment was complete. It is hard to tell when items will arrive because of method of transit. I got 4-5 ft. trees which is what most orders should be. When you get smaller trees you take the chance of them drying or getting damaged in transit. I spent 85.85 and 59.35. All items arrived in a long box with the root system rapped in paper then plastic which keep the roots from drying out. I contacted my post office to let me know when shipment arrived so that the trees would not be setting there drying out but that I could get them in the ground faster.
