Do not waste your money with this company. I received my 11 trees all dried like kiln fired lumber. I soaked them for 4 hours prior to planting but you can't revive dead twigs. I have ordered from many other nurseries and never had a problem with bare root trees. I strongly suggest you do not order from this company.

This company is a website full of LIES! I bought 7 rose bushes, all supposed to be different types of climbing roses for a very thought out and well designed area of my yard. I carefully researched each type of rose so I could make it all the way I wanted it. I got the roses, planted them and when they bloomed they were ALL PURPLE! [redacted] Every rose had a different label on it: "fourth of july rose, america rose," etc, but they were all LIES! Now I have seven purple rose bushes in my yard and none of the other types I ordered and I'm pissed. I did a lot of grunt work digging up the soil for this FRAUD.

DON'T BUY FROM THESE LYING SCAMMERS!

I ordered few berry bushes from their online store. 2 blueberry plants were the only ones to survive. The other three plants arrived already dead and dry. I tried to revive them by keeping their roots in water for 24 hours and then planting them in a good fertile soil. The only thing happened they began rotting just as dead sticks would do.
I would not recommend dealing with this so called "business" to no one. It was very disappointing. Not to mentioned that it took them over three weeks to prepare and ship my order and ten days for my order to arrive. Anyone would die during this long trip.

Totally negative experience. Made a $140 telephone order from the Summerstone mail catalog in Spring 2016. Was to have received an email with shipping and receipt date, but that never came. Received the package early May, put sticks in water overnight and planted them carefully next day. Never a sign of life on any item. Emails and calls to Summerstone were never answered. Dead loss.

I placed a order dated May 11 2014 for $42.35 worth of merchandise and I called 20 days later and was told it was to be shiped the following day, it never came so I called 4 days later and was told they oversold and would be shipping the following tuesday and now I have been waiting another week and 2 days and I still have not received my order and I can not get any answer to my calls.

I placed an order for cone flowers spring 2016, and still have been put off, disconnected, and lied to by the bogus employees at Summerstone Nursery. Don't place any orders online or this fraudulent company will keep your money. When you ask about your online order, they will tell you the item is not in stock, and they will send it next season.

I regretted placing my order but decided not to cancel it..
I received my fruit trees 6-3-16. They were dormant and in good shape.
half of my free bonus plants were not, they were d.o.a. which did not concern me..
They have quite a few serious customer service problems.
I think that they ship their orders out by area instead of by the date that the order is placed, which is not a very customer friendly way to ship.
I will most likely order from them again with small orders until they repair their customer service problems.

ordered several trees on 11/11/15, just rec'd a box full of dead sticks. I also ordered on 11/12/15 have yet to rec'd that order...here's the kicker...they are only 100 miles away from my house....could have drove up there and got them quicker than they ship! if you're thinking of ordering from these folks just go to the bathroom and wipe your rearend with the money then flush the money down the toilet...it's the same thing as dealing with these folks! heed my word...DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUISNESS!!!

I wish I'd read the reviews of others before buying from this nursery. And, unfortunately, I threw away the packaging the plants came in so I doubt there's any recourse for me.
The extremely small plants looked dead when I received them but I planted them anyway. I was very careful to choose the correct location for sun, soil, etc. I gave them a good start with compost, water, etc. - all the measures I've used successfully with plants in the past. None of my efforts, however, raised those plants from the dead.
DO NOT buy from this nursery. You're wasting your money. There are other online nurseries that will send you healthy, good-sized plants.

Unfortunately, I've placed an order with Summerstone nursery without prior knowledge about their reputation. Order was placed on April 21st, and payment made with credit card was processed immediately, yet the only information I got in return was an email that contained an order number. It was 2 weeks, and checked company website again to see if I will be able to check the order status. There are absolutely no links that might indicate any level of customer service and consumer protection compliance - no FAQ, no my orders - nothing. After I made a very basic internet search, I came across an pdf file that contained materials of a law suit against Summerstone nursery. TN court have ordered to provide customers with an adequate information, thus, it was ordered to establish a toll-free phone number. Yet when i've called the company - it was still a phone number with a TN area code, very rude lady on the other end told me that the order won't be shipped at least until the end of the month, and when I've asked about a toll-free number and mentioned a court order, I was told (in a very rapid manner!) that my order will be cancelled. I will wait for 2 weeks exactly, and if the refund won't be processed at that time, I will involve my bank for funds recovery and will submit a complaint against this company.

Back ground. Have worked in nurseries in my youth. Order products from major online nurseries for trees, flowers and seeds. Located in a remote area that does not have local nurseries.

Found some vines in flyer that we were interested in with a very low price. Ordered three with a specific ship date. After ordering read Revdex.com review. Oh no..!

Plants were delivered by USPS as directed by shipping instruction, in a dry root dormancy state. Plants were will rooted, stems green with evidence of prior leaves. Received four plants instead of the three we ordered.

Pro's very low price - Good plant quality
Con's Roots could have been wrapped in moisture material. Phone support poor.

Overall experience. Happy, Happy, Happy...!

I ordered several trees from Summerstone. They hadn't shipped after two months and then I canceled my order. I received an email confirmation that the order had been canceled. However, my credit card was not credited.

I am now dealing with the credit card company to reverse the charges and Summerstone is fighting it. I'm not sure how they can fight it when they sent an email confirming the cancellation - but they did. They never shipped anything. Eventually I will win the fight with the credit card company.

I have ordered their 5 n 1 apple trees twice. Both transactions were awesome. I have nothing but good thinhsy to say about this company. I have also called them for advice...long story shirt, I will continue to order thru them.

I placed an order in May (2016) and as of Dec I still hadn't received my order. I contacted them twice and was told they were back logged and they would fill the order ASAP. At no point did they contact me about delays or issues. I had to initiate all correspondence. On a 1 to 10 scale, I would give them a -3 since I have had to do all the work. I do not recommend this company!!!!!!!

I had hoped to plant my order this past spring - now I will be a year out do to there negligence and poor business model.

Never received my order, company does not respond to my corespondance attempts.

Wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from this company. I recieved a box of dead trees, looked like a bunch of sticks I could use for kindling for my firepit. None of the trees or bushes I planted grew. Also had two items on back order and it's been 2 months since I placed the order. They had no problem taking my money. Sure they have a gaurantee that if I send the dead plants back they would send me new ones...I have no desire to spend money on shipping to have more dead plants sent to me - DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I been purchasing fruit trees now from summer stone nursery since 2009. I always pick best time for shipping. I haven't had any problems so far with them. From all my orders I had one cherry tree die, out 12 trees. I recommend them to any one they are definitely the cheapest place in the Web to buy trees

I placed an order with them and since my order was taking too long I decided to call back. I could never get a hold of anyone so I thought it was a scam. I even alerted my bank but withdrew my complaint when I received my order in the mail. Plants were all alive and are doing great. Prices were also very good. It's just the customer service that was awful.

Terrible product and Terrible Service.
I ordered about 30 different fruit trees and ornamentals last year in April 2015. The trees didn't arrive until late June and they were in terrible condition. Only 4 of the 30 trees survived. I've called & emailed numerous times of the past 12 months with no results. In April of 2016 I returned all the dead tree's and here it is June 2016, which is very late in the Michigan planting season and still no replacement. Their guarantee of replacing failed trees is apparently a joke and I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them. $135.00 down the toilet.

I ordered 5 roses bushes in April and when May came and they still weren't here I called and was told they would be shipped at the proper planting time. When they finally arrived they were a just dead sticks. We planted them and they never grew so I called the company and they sent out new ones. 4 of the 5 took but they are all the same color, not 5 different colors like I had ordered. This company is a scam.
