Best rental company in the smokys!!!!! Beautiful cabins, amazing staff. I will never use any other cabin rental company. Sunmit Cabin rentals is the BEST. Hands down
We paid $ to stay in this cabin and was never offered a refund and didn't have the extra money to pay to stay somewhere else, that could accommodate 17people. I was told by Bryce the manager he could give me free tickets to a venue or $ towards our next stay. We just wanted our money back so we could stay somewhere else! They sent maintenance out to verify it was bed bugs and the manager Bryce acted like it wasn't a big deal! To us, it was awful, we know you can take them Home with you so none of us slept! I was told maintenance would treat the affected area, I specifically told Bryce we wanted new bed linens on all the beds, that never happened either. He said he would take care of cleaning our clothes, that didn't happen either. Matter of fact never heard from him after I told him his offer of $ towards our next stay, which there will not be! Wasn't good enough!
I feel we deserve a refund! We to stay out all day because of maintenance and no-one wanted to stay there period!!
After being notified that the guest felt they had a bed bug in the cabin they were staying, we sent a pest control company that specializes in bed bugs to inspect the cabin and see what needs to be done to get the bed but, if any, out. They reported back saying they found one bug on the wall in the one of the bedrooms and that they were going to remove the bug and heat treat the bedroom as well as anything that may have come into contact with bed bugs. After the service was done and complete, the home was reinspected by a bed bug K9 and it was "All Clear"...during this time the guests were not on property and when they returned it was all taken care of and I offered a $ refund due to the inconvenience. No other refund is due to the guest.

5 couples stayed in a cabin *** a Wonderful ***" for 4 days (Dec 26th - Dec 30th). The next morning we were still finding them. Conveniently there was spray under the kitchen sink. We were already watching for them due to reading the Guest Book and several people commenting about *** I have emailed the cabin rental several times and was told someone would contact me but I haven't heard anything. I text a picture to the owner and received no response. All we asked for was some type of refund for having to deal with *** They are disgusting and totally unexceptable, I was told in one of my responses that they were sorry and I wouldn't believe the bugs people bring in. I advised them between 10 of us we have NEVER had this problem while vacationing.
We paid *** for 4 days and we feel they should give us some sort of a refund for dealing with *** As I said before they are disgusting and totally unexceptable.
We were notified by the guest of the bugs in the cabin. We make every attempt and preventive action to make sure that pests do not enter the cabin. The cabins are sprayed once per month and we also leave spray under the sink in case of isolated incidences. We have notified our pest control company of the issue and it has been resolved.

I do not believe the infestation has been resolved, after reading the comments in the "guest book" in the home this has been an issue for quite some time. While I don't expect a full refund something would be nice for all of us since we have NEVER had to deal with this. I also feel the health department should be involved since this is a business renting out the home. It might have been a little different if there had only been one or two but when you look and they are crawling everywhere there is a definite problem.
It is sad I had to result to filing this complaint before I could get a response from the company as well!

Misrepresentation by means of false advertisement. Cabin wasnt clean and I injured myself due to negligence on the landlords part.

Advertised Christmas decor during holidays. There was nothing there when we arrived. Complained and they put up a small Christmas tree on the second day of our stay
Missing working light bulbs on the wraparound deck that caused me to step on a rusty nail barefoot. I now need a tetanus shot and they refuse to pay for it. I informed them of the lights not working two days prior so ample time before the injury was there to fix the problem.
I want a partial refund due to advertised amenities missing and injury i recieved while staying on the property. And for them to pay for my tetanus shot.

Mr. wasn't a guest of our company but called many times with complaints attempting to receive a refund for the reservation holder. We did offer his party a voucher toward a new reservation in an upgraded cabin. The cleanliness of the cabin was noted and corrected during the stay. There were no dirty dishes found in the cabin and the feminine product in the hot tub was never mentioned until after the stay. We do not provide a ladder to the tree-house as it is a safety hazard for children to be climbing and the air hockey table is not advertised. We will not be providing any refund.
Unsafe and dirty would be the best way to describe our cabin (Morning Glory). Arrived to find dishes put away with food on them, spider webs in every open and easy to reach corner and the stench of mold throughout the cabin. The largest spiders live in the upstairs bathroom so I wouldn't go there. They have a welcoming book with pictures of bugs you would expect to encounter on your visit, wonder why the spiders weren't listed in the book? Speaking of pics, the ones on the website look great so great job of false advertising!!!!
Difficult to maneuver throughout the house as well..everything appears to be an afterthought...refrigerator blocks prime countertop space, the washer and dryer are behind a little door in the living room. You can't open the washer/dryer doors all the way because the small door opening blocks them. Almost impossible to do laundry because of this. Air conditioning floor grates are bent upward. The edges are extremely sharp on them and could easily hurt someone if they came into contact with them. Hot tub over heats at 96 degrees, called 2x about getting someone out to repair it to no avail.
Picnic table collapsed while I was sitting at it. The legs on the upright posts were rotten. Called to report the incident and realized no one is available on weekends. Poor experience overall and wouldn't recommend to anyone, especially if you have kids.
