Worked with Sun Coast for several years on multiple projects. High quality work and great crews!

Suncoast remodelers did a great job painting the exterior of our house! We ended up not really liking the original color we chose and they did everything they could to work with us to make sure we got the results we wanted. Highly suggest working with them as they were quick and easy to work with!

I had all the windows in the house replaced. Sales rep, scheduler, installation crew, they all did an outstanding job! Excellent warranty and the price was right. Thank you Sun Coast.

I had a complete roof put on my house. The crew did a fantastic job and everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I would like to thank Edgar and Marco for keeping the job going smoothly and and in a timely manner. I had a commitment for Thanksgiving with relatives and Edgar went out of his way 2 complete the job in a very timely manner so that I was able to meet with my relatives 4 Thanksgiving weekend which was an 8-hour Drive from San Diego. Michael spent several hours with us explaining the quality of material and workmanship. We are very happy with the job well done.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I am waiting for the correct color to be mixed and we will see what happens from there Regards, [redacted] ***

To date no repairs have been made Their representative Mr [redacted] contacted me and made an appointment to walk my property He walked the entire house and I showed him where the paint was peeling off the stucco on the east side of my house I pointed out how the paint on my garage door and the trim all around my house had become discolored and mottled I also showed him the urethane was peeling in places on my front door He indicated they would fix all the problems He said they would have to order the paint and he would contact me when it arrived On 9/the painter arrived to do the repairs I walked him around the house, showed the problems areas He said he was not given materials to fix all that was wrong He was provided gallon of paint and told to paint three spots on the garage door and was told it should not take more than minutes My house has colors of paint and the front door is a clear urethane so clearly he was not provide the materials needed to make proper repairs He began painting the garage door and it was immediately clear that the paint did not match my garage door He called Mr [redacted] and reported that the paint did not match He also told him to do the job properly it was going to take more than minutes as the trim around the house and a few of the windows was completely discolored Mr [redacted] began yelling that all he was to do was spot paint the garage door and they were not going to paint the trim He then asked to speak to me and began telling me the complete opposite of what he had just instructed the painter to do He obviously did not know I was in ear shot of the conversation. At this point, my garage door looks worse than before with the spot painting that was done I placed a call to [redacted] to let him know what had transpired He said he would send [redacted] out to take a paint sample to hopefully get a match [redacted] came on 9/@ 7pm to get a sample Clearly it was too dark to show him all the problems with their paint Mr [redacted] had previously indicated he had no memory of being told about problems other than the garage door This is where I am at this point in time No resolve Regards, [redacted] ***

This company called and asked if we had any projects they may help. I mentioned attic insulation replacement was something we were interested in. They sent a salesman who first tried to upcharge the project by adding unnecessary construction etc but we only agreed them to remove the existing insulation material, clean out the attic and lay down new insulation material. In addition we agreed for them to install an attic "gable fan" that we would be able to remotely turn on/off. We agreed for them to do this whole job for $6000. Next they sent a project inspector guy who crawled into the attic and inspected/measured the area. After this inspection they have not made any comments or corrections/changes to the original contract scope. They then had an electrician install a gable fan. The installer did not mention any way for us to be able to turn this thing on and off. There are no accessible switches for us to control it. It runs all the time regardless of temperature and I am tired of its humming above my bed. Not only that they then call and tell me that they won't be able to remove the existing insulation material because it would be too costly to them and by the way that insulation is still good. They said they would just simply "top it off as needed". At that point I told them I am not interested in that and they are obligated to follow the contract. They then send the same sales guy who started literally crying in front of me telling me that he made a mistake in calculating how much it would cost to remove and clean out the attic. I told him I will not continue with this project and will not pay for it. I asked him to have someone remove that gable fan and get out of my house. He said they would fire him if he can't get me to sign a new contract which reduces the scope to just include a gable fan for $885. After a lot of crying and back and forth I had to sign this new contract and paid him $885 just to get this guy out of my house.

This is an invalid complaint and should not be listed as a complaint.

We installed a gable fan for Mr.. We do not have a return policy for an item like this, once the work is completed and the item is installed it is the property of the homeowner. The fan is set to operate to expel hot air, so if it is running it is doing so to cool the attic. This fan does not present any kind of fire risk this is a false complaint that Mr. has formulated with absolutely zero evidence to support. If there is an actual problem or service necessary that of course will be completed. We have a written contract that has been completed and no further work will be done.

Mr. has filed another false report in regards to this work with ***. *** rejected that claim as well.

It is unfortunate that Mr. has decided he no longer wants this fan, however we have purchased it from our distributor and paid to have it installed. The fact that he no longer wants it does not at all obligate Sun Coast Remodelers to come and remove the fan and give him a refund of his money.

And as he stated several times Mr. prefers to "yell and scream and throw people out of his house".

Customer Response • Dec 04, 2019

This business completely ignores how they ended up cornering me into forcing me to agree to keep this fan in the attic in order to get their crying sales person out of my house. Because the facts of the matter doesn't favor their false claims. What do they have to say about the reasons for altering the scope of the original contract which was for cleaning out the attic and replacing insulation material in addition to the installation of this fan. After their site inspector came in to check out the job location they quickly realized that they would not make enough money out of this job. So rather than telling me that honestly in the beginning they hastily installed this gable fan so as to have done something -- anything -- so that they started the job and expected to get paid. After the fan was installed they tell me that it will cost them a lot of money to clean out the attic and so they would rather keep the existing insulation and cover it up with some new stuff. At that point I told them I will not agree to this. I told them to remove the fan and cancel the contract but they would not have it. They sent the sales person who came the first time back to our house and he started crying and moaning about losing his job if I didn't sign this new contract. They coerced me into signing a new contract just so this crying adult man would get out of my house. The business is also continuing their lies even here. I never yelled and screamed and threw anyone from my house even though they deserved to be yelled at. I simply called them and told them to get the fan out of my house ASAP and refund my money. They refused to that. My demand still remains the same. I want that fan which constantly runs regardless of the temperature or humidity levels out of my attic. If this business rejects this opportunity to do so I will have no other choice but to sue them at the small claims court.

Sun Coast Remodelers Response • Dec 05, 2019

Attached please find the addendum to our contract. It lays out the change that was made in very clear terms and very plain language as well as how the payment will be made. Mr. signature is affixed to this document.

We have completed all the work that was contracted in writing. It is unfortunate that Mr. decided he no longer wants the fan that he purchased. We do not return to customer's homes and remove equipment that was purchased and installed correctly.

If there are any service issues we will be more than happy to resolve them. Otherwise we consider this is a closed matter.

This should not be listed anywhere on the Revdex.com website as a "complaint". We have a written contract, an addendum that changed the scope of that written contract, the customer signed all these documents and understood all the conditions and the work has been completed and paid for.

Thank you

Customer Response • Dec 10, 2019

As you see they are not addressing the main point of my complaint. They are only talking about the "Addendum". At this time I would like them to produce the "Original" contract and explain their reasoning for why this original contract was altered initiated by them not by me. I was coerced to sign this addendum only to get their crying salesman out of my house so I could go to work that morning. I should have sued them then. But I will sue them now because they are unwilling to take responsibility for their lying employees and unethical business practices. They are afraid that this will show up as a "complaint" on their record with Revdex.com as it should. If this is not a complaint then what is??? My demand remains the same. Get this gable fan out of my house and refund my money. My next step is to sue this company so we can hear their explanation for canceling the original contract in front of a judge.

We are very happy with our new roof that Sun Coast installed. From the beginning consultation with Caesar to working with Edgar and Marco on the installation. They were all very professional and courteous and answered all our questions and concerns promptly. The area around our home was clean during the removal of the old roof and after the installation of the new one. We would recommend Sun Coast if you need a new roof.

To the Revdex.com,It has taken several weeks of investigation to determine what actually occurred with Mrs*** Apparently Mrs [redacted] was giving messages to marketers who were knocking on her door, but who no longer work for Sun Coast The company never received a phone call at the office, an email, a fax, or any notice here at our officeAnd it appears another unfortunate chain of events prevented the company from receiving her request for service The sales person who Mrs [redacted] had contact information for no longer works for the company, not by choice but by medical emergencyThe young man, in his late 20s, was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease, which is almost medically unheard of for someone so youngSo Mrs [redacted] was also contacting him to get a service done, however due to his medical condition, he left the state and apparently either never got her messages, or did and decided not to relay them back to the company, which considering his circumstances is hardly surprising. The technician that needed to visit Mrs [redacted] has been out of the country for several weeks, but has now returned and will be meeting up with her this week.Any and all issues will be promptly rectified.I understand Mrs***'s concern, as she felt as if she was being ignoredHowever, that was not the case As soon as we found out about this issue it was immediately addressed, as are any issues that customers ever present to the company. Please reconsider this being an actual complaint, as the company had no way to know that this service issue existed, and again as soon as it was brought to our attention it was IMMEDIATELY addressed. Please feel free to contact the office at [redacted] with any concerns and ask for [redacted] ***, the general manager[redacted] ***

The installation team was great. The gentlemen were very professional and did a fantastic job. On the other hand the sliding screen door showed up with a rip in the screen which was one of the selling points and now I have to call the manufacturer of the door to have it fixed. The worst thing is the screen door doesn’t slide behind the center beam so you have about a 6-7 inch wide blockage right in the middle of your view. The other issue the middle beam was dented by the screen door. I wouldn’t recommend this company for the price I paid. Would have been happier going to Lowe’s saving thousands of dollars and have a six beam blocking most of my view

I was well pleased with the work Sun Coast did. They did a good job applying the Tex-Cote and the place looked really nice when the job was finished. The workers also did a good job cleaning the work area when finished.

I was contacted by their call center by "Mike" who is an unlicensed salesmanThe company claims its not a violation of the CA business & professional code since they are only "setting up appointments" however, this is a subterfuge to making a sales callFurther, I am on the FTC Do Not Call Registry (confirmed) this company is in violation of the CA Business & Professional Code for both the use of unlicensed sales people and violating the Federal Do Not Call Registry,

Outstanding job! This was the third time Sun Coast has installed replacement windows and doors for meThey have alway been very professional in all aspects of job They honour their warranties and the front office office alway follow up to ensure the customer is satisfied

From start to finish I was extremely satisfied The sales person, Jeff *worked with me as far as price Sun Coast called me a few times to confirm the color & type of windows I ordered to make sure it was done correctly A team came to my home to install my windows It was all done in day & I was given instructions again, how to operate my new windows! I would recommend Sun Coast to anyone who needs windows

I sent my Coolwall production manager to review the warranty request once we received it. Ordered material to complete the work. Manufacturer sent the wrong material, we of course couldn't figure that out until putting it up on the house. Stopped all work ASAP. Send my head production manager out to help. Reordered material. Sent wrong by manufacturer AGAIN. Took a sample down off the house directly, took it to the paint store, had the color exactly matched, sent that to the manufacturer. Just found out today that for the THIRD time now, manufacturer sent the wrong color. And of course we are several weeks into this now, because we can't do any real actual work without the material. Called the West Coast rep that I have for the manufacturer, he is looking into it for us now to try and ensure the correct color is sent this next time. The challenge is that this is a custom color and a custom product, so we can't simply go buy it elsewhere, we are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Once we have the correct material, all Ms***'s concerns will be addressed as we will repair the areas she has requested. The response time is very atypical and I have never had this manufacturer make a mistake times in a row, however I understand Ms***'s frustration as this should have been completed a long time ago if the correct material had been sentLet me know if there are any more concerns or questionsBest,*** ***

Suncoast painted the exterior of my home the work was good The timing of the job and the service left lots to be desiredThey took my initial deposit on Octand didn’t finish a job that was quoted to take 7-work days until weeks later
There were many delays along the way The most frustrating was work stoppages as workers were pulled from the site to other jobs something I inquired about and had been promised wouldn’t happen It took more than two weeks just to get final touch ups scheduled The service and timing fell far short of what was promised to me
Disappointed

I have had Sun Coast Remodelers do major projects on my home The first was to have the house, two story, completely Texcoated (an upgrade of painting) and a new front window replaced The second was to have the downstairs windows replaced throughout On both occasions the teams that arrived were punctual, courteous, knew what they were doing and totally cleaned up after their days work The initial sales representative who came out was prepared, knew about the product and was able to answer all my questions I will admit that the prices were at the top of my budget but the final product was well worth the investment I am currently saving up for my next home improvement project and would most certainly use this company again
