I purchased the shed to keep our 2 4-wheelers at the cabin in 2015.
Last spring when we went to the cabin for the first time, we found the roof of the shed had
collapsed inward. The metal support beam had twisted and all of the panels had bowed/warped. We tried to work with Suncast for the warranty which is a 5 year limited warranty which should have covered the replacement due to the total collapse of the roof. They are denying any claim stating: The type of damage shown indicates it was subjected extreme use beyond the design intentions of the product. Subjecting the product to extreme conditions, modifying the product or using it in a way
that is beyond the intended purpose, voids the warranty. If we are mistaken
about the source of the damage, please contact us with additional information. I did reply and let them know the only 'extreme conditions' would be the winter and the sun in MN. if the sheds can not be used outdoors in the winter or summer sun then they should not be sold in MN. No modifications were made to the shed.

Purchased Suncast ***abinet on 9/25/19. After assembling the unit on 9/28/19, the left door binds and snaps at the 90 degree position. I have attempted to communicate with Suncast multiple times and have sent a video twice showing what is happening. I am only getting automated responses from Suncast with no real solution.

I purchased the Suncast "*** Blow Molded Everett Storage Shed" from Suncast on ***, on 4/6/2017, for $700.63. The product is supposed to include a 10 year limited warranty. On 9/1/2019 I noticed that the two front corner panels had split open at the corner seem. So on 9/3/2019 I contacted Suncast at , per the warranty instructions, to make a warranty claim for 2 new front corner panels (left and right). The part numbers, per the documentation that came with the product are, *** and ***. I informed the customer service rep that I was making a warranty claim, told her what panels I needed to have replaced, she put me on hold to discuss with her manager. I was then informed that they had placed an order for me and that the panels would arrive in 8-10 business days. The order number is "***". On 9/18/2019 (which I believe to be 11 business days after I had placed my order) I still had not received the parts from Suncast, so I called again. I was told that the order status was "in processing" and that the larger panels take longer but she expected them to ship by the following Monday, 9/23/2019, and for me to call back if I did not receive the order. So, today, on 9/26/2019 I called again, and this time I was told that the status was "allocated", that the panels ship out of a different facility, and all she could do was tell me the status. So, obviously this isn't working. I expect Suncast to honor the warranty and to provide replacements parts in a reasonable amount of time, with some way to track the status. It has been 17 business days since I placed my order, and as of today, I have no idea if the parts are ever going to ship or if I will ever get warranty service from Suncast.

Suncast Response • Oct 11, 2019

The parts were delivered on October 3rd. They are large panels and cannot go over night or 2nd day.

I paid to have a stow away shed assembled on 8/04/19 but the left side panel was missing. On 8/05 I spoke to a Suncast agent to explain two right side panels was shipped with the kit. I needed a left side panel. When I received the wrong part (left side brackets) on 8/14, I called the same day to let an agent know I still didn't have the part needed to assemble the shed. The agent checked and I was told the part was in stock and would ask the shipping department to expedite the order. As of 8/26 I still don't have the correct part. I called 8/26 and was told the part was ready to be shipped but couldn't tell me when it would be shipped and I needed to speak to Charlene Evans for that info. I got a voicemail message stating Ms. Evans was out of the office until 9/03. No one else was available to help me resolve this issue.
How can an order be placed 8/14, ready for shipment 8/26, but not shipped?
How is it possible the only person able to answer/resolve my shipping question is a manager?
How is it possible a manager can be on extended leave and a company doesn't have a temporary replacement handle issues like this? A more troubling question, how long will it take Ms. Evans to respond to my voicemail message?
This is extremely poor customer service. I have only asked for what I have already paid to receive from this company.

I purchased a *** model *** from *** for $1000. I saved the receipt and the warranty information. I reached out to suncast due to some rotted cedar boards. Yes rotted Cedar. Suncast opened a claim *** and sent me an email stating: To better assist you, please include the following information: Photos of the unit. Detailed pictures showing the area of concern. A copy of the dated sales receipt. I emailed the requested information back to Suncast. Suncast responded: The *** unfortunately only has at point of purchase warranty. At this time we would be unable to replace any of the parts under warranty. We suggest sanding and re-staining your wood. I responded:That is not correct I will send you a copy of the warranty and how can one sand rot? you can put your fingers through the rot...Suncast the sent: Please send a copy of the warranty information. I sent a copy. on 5/14. No response. I sent another
email on 5/22 stating: Can an update be provided?. Still no response. I have a 10 year warranty that must be worthless to go with my worthless *** Suncast will not even sell me the replacement boards. I cannot buy these boards at any of the local *** either.

I ordered a 8 x 10 storage shed and was given the wrong panel in the box, the shed is completely up except for one piece. We called and spoke with the manager Charlen and was told the part would be sent 3-4 business days, I called on the 5th day to find out the tracking information and was told very rudely that it is active and there wasn't anything they were going to do. I told them I needed the part before the rain and was told it wasn't their problem. This was my first and last suncast piece I will be buying. They have very rude customer service and tell lies to get you off the phone.

We order a garden shed which was promptly shipped to our local *** Upon assembly, the manufacturer included the wrong base for the model number. Product included notices not to return to store. A call to suncast cust service was a total waste. They told us to call the store where we bought it from. We spoke to the mgr who ordered a new part that was supposed to be shipped ASAP. One week later, no news, no part. A call back to suncast indicated that while the order was placed on 4/29- it still had not shipped 6 days later. The company has our $700 and we have a big box of worthless plastic parts.

Suncast Corporation has never spoken directly with Mr. L We have dealt with the *** where the product was picked up. The replacement part has been shipped out via XPwith tracking number *** The part should be delivered May 9, 2019.

I purchased a roof rake that obviously was not overseen with quality control and wasn't able to complete the first step of assembly. I called the phone number and the hours of operation are narrow so then I tried their dot-com page for email and it wouldn't send as if the email was not valid. Horrible quality control and even worse customer service. Once again no apology whatsoever or offering to give money back. Just that they will send me a new part. Not sure how much faith I have in that even

I purchased a Suncast Shovel less than 1 year ago and to my understanding this was supposed to come with a 1 year warranty. When I reached out to the company, I was informed that they would only be able to MAYBE send a new strip, but not a new shovel. Well, this is problematic, because the plastic is cracked, so the strip does me no good. It's the plastic that needs to be repaired/replaced before the strip can be (which is also bent). I have purchased Suncast shovels for most of my life and never had this bad of an experience until now. I assume I received a defective shovel because I never knew these products to be this bad of quality; however, I am more disappointed in the customer support that I received. The only thing I am requesting is to send out a new shovel as I have not had this shovel for longer than 1 year and have not used more than a handful of times. I am very disappointed to see that a longer time customer could completely be disregarded.

Suncast Response • Nov 29, 2018

Customer has been sent a replacement shovel. Shovel estimated arrival time 12/07/18. Customer contacted us to file a warranty complaint on 11/27/2018, claim was pending model number and proof of purchase.

Bought and received what I thought was a new shed, however the left side of the shed had dents that were noticeable upon opening the box. I believe this to be a used or returned shed. I emailed the business with a complaint and desire at least 50% of a refund. No response was recieved. I can take it down and return it, but it will cost me more money out of pocket cause I will have to pay someone AGAIN to take it down as I did when they put it up. When In emailed the business I sent them photos a d they claim that the marks will not affect the performance, but why do I have to pay full price for something that looks used.

Suncast Response • Sep 22, 2018

As the manufacturer only, we have no control over whether a retailer sells a returned product. If the product was returned, and then resold, the complaint is against the retailer, not Suncast Corporation. Additionally, the complaints are strictly cosmetic; they do not affect the form, fit, or function of the shed.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I PAID ALOT OF MONEY FOR A SHED THAT IS DEFECTIVE...YOU STATE "COSMETIC" BUT I DISAGREE! EVEN IF IT WERE COSMETIC THAT IS NOT HOW IT IS DESCRIBED ONLINE WHEN YOU BUY THIS. I WILL NOT RETURN IT TO THE STORE BECAUSE IT WILL BE MORE MONEY SPENT BY ME. I HIGHLY DOUBT YOU WILL STAND BY THE WARRANTY TOO!!! I WILL GET A NEW SHED AND I WILL MOST DEFINITELY NEVER BUY A SUNCAST PRODUCT EVER AGAIN AND I WILL DISCOURAGE ANYONE I KNOW FROM PURCHASING YOUR PRODUCTS!!!

Sincerely,

Doralis

received patio storage box item number *** on 7-15-18 and there were die cast indentations all along the panels. I contacted customer service via e mail and assigned refer. number PT-***. their number is . they did not respond back to me. I called the number and they said they never responded to me because they could not find panels to replace mine. they said they all had the round circular indentation with center same like machine pushed it but did not punch it through. they said it was "part molding" and not defect. I told them their pictures of item do not show this and it has nothing to do with the panel and is not part of pattern and should not be on there. they were not willing to accomadate a replacement similar to this one or refund my money. I feel it is a defect and they have the pictures I sent them plus they have panels there with same markings throughout. I would have never bought this if I had been informed it was "part mold".

We will issue a refund check.

The gas shocks that came with my shed appear to be seized. They do not move. There is nothing in the instructions how to make them move. On Jun 28, after sitting on hold for 1hr and 45 min (because no one answers the phone), I sent an email. On June 29, you send me an email telling me that you were shipping me new gas shocks. The new ones arrived with the same problem. They don't work. Again I tried calling the customer service number which no one answers. I sent another email asking for instructions or a phone call to tell me how to make the product work. Again I get an email that tells me they are shipping me new ones. I DONT NEED NEW SHOCKS, I NEED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO WORK THE SHOCKS SINCE THERE IS NOTHING IN THE INSTUCTION BOOK YOU SEND WITH THE PRODUCT.

Suncast Response • Jul 25, 2018

Customer initially contacted us on 06/28 thru email explaining he was having issues with his gas shocks. We sent replacement shocks on 06/29. On 07/04 he contacted us again stating that the replacement shocks did not work and that he stripped the screws in the process. He requested for an agent to call him for further assistance. On 07/09 we placed an order for screws and an agent called and spoke to the customer, per our notes customer was able to make the gas shocks work and call ended successfully. We have tried to contact the customer numerous times after we received the Revdex.com message and we have been unsuccessful, voice mail was left.
Tell us why here...

Their water powered self winding 125 foot hose reel is expensive, but horrible. Do not buy it. I owned it for less than a year, and 5 months of that I couldn't use it due to me being flooded out of my house due to Hurricane Harvey. When I did get back in and try to use it, a plastic sprocket broke that made the hose level-wind. I contacted them, and they sent a replacement part. I installed that, but then the hose stopped self winding without me pushing the hose up with my hand every 4 inches as it would stop and start. I contacted the company and they requested a video of the issue, and I provided. They then sent a note about not having the hose stretched out 100 feet long in a u-shape and sent a powerpoint on how to stretch a hose out. Duh, I can handle this. I had most of it stretched out (my back yard doesn't go back 100 feet) and was trying to help it along to go back in the box, but it still struggled and continued to do so, and the video clearly showed this. I sent back a note disagreeing that I wasn't properly unrolling a hose, and that their assessment and denial of a warranty claim was not correct, and I never heard from them again. They are not standing by their products, and they are very expensive for the junk you get, and customer service they provide to stand by their product. I would never buy another Suncast product and would warn anyone about their products being pieces of junk for what they charge.

• 5/5/18 I bought my third Suncast product today, a storage and prep station (*** from ***.
• Carton was factory sealed and wrapped in plastic.
• During assembly discovered the flat riser, part # ***4 was missing.
• Called & spoke with Laura. Who took the information and issued P.O. # ***.
• 5/12/18 Somehow part #***4A was sent. A part not even for this product!
• Called and spoke with Claudia who issued P.O. # *** for the correct part.
• 5/23/18 called and spoke with Deborah. Part has not shipped because “ it has to come from another warehouse it should ship in three days.”
• 6/4/18 called and spoke with Deborah again. Got the same answer that I got on 5/23!!!!!!!
• Asked to speak to a manager, was transferred to an answering machine for someone named Sandy. Left her a message with the facts listed above and asked her to return my call. No call from Sandy.
• 6/5/18 No call from Sandy.
• 6/6/18 Still no call from Sandy
• 6/7/18 Sandy does not appear interested!
• 6/13/18 Still no call from Sandy! Called and spoke with Rachel. After being on hold she told me the part is out of stock but she had instructed the warehouse to unpack the part from an unopened carton and ship it (same thing Deborah told me on 5/23!!!!!) Rachel said she would email me the tracking number.
• 6/14/18 no email from Rachel. No tracking #.
• 6/15/18 no email from Rachel. No Tracking #
5 Phone calls. 2 orders to the warehouse to open a carton and ship the part. Going on 6 weeks.
Terrible warehouse performance!!!

I received a hose reel a year ago as a gift. After using the reel for a year and never experincing any problems, one daywhen I was winding the reel the gears just stopped. I could not turn the crank and the gears would not move. After looking over and determining there was nothing I could do to fix the gears, I called Suncast.

I left messages. I emailed - and finally someone got back to me needing a video of the problem. I showed them. They emailed me back a week later stating 'It was not under warranty and there was nothing they could do.'

I asked for them to explain to me how to fix this - a week later they replied 'Do you have the instruction manual?' I am still waiting for a response.

When I called I was always put on hold for 30 min or more time periods before I ever got an answer.

This was 2 months ago and still have no one has gotten back to me with a solution.

These hose reels are very expensive. $80. This should last for 5 years or more. At that price I expect a company to stand by there product.

I was/am being treated rudely and no solution to an issue with my product.

After a thorough review of the complaint, the consumer was shipped replacement product.
