Consumers should be aware that this company does not do a good job of honoring their product warranty. I purchased a hose reel with a 3 year warranty The plastic leg support cracked after 2.5 years. Photos and receipts were sent to the manufacturer and they denied the claim stating the crack was caused by impact damage. Their customer service manager did not return my call about Suncast denying my warranty claim. This matter has also been reported to the *** as it appears others have had similar issues with their products.

I purchased a *** Hydro Power Auto Rewind Hose Reel on 03/08/17 for $98.00. It comes with a "Three Year Limited Warranty" covering "product failure resulting from defects in manufacturing and materials" and states "Suncast will repair or replace only the parts that failed". Less than eights months after the purchase date, the unit stopped working. I contacted Suncast and they told me to disassemble the unit and repair it myself. They offered to send the "Disassemble Instructions" and offer replacement parts for sale..

Purchased a water powered hose reel and stopped working after one year. They expect the customer to take the hose box apart and repair with their supplied parts. . Ridiculous! They should replace, refund or send someone out to repair. Sent incorrect replacement parts as anyway! They do not respond to emails. Impossible to get a hold of anyone beyond customer service number who just sends parts and the incorrect ones! I,have asked several times to,speak to someone in their corporate office and they do not allow it.

We shipped the customer a new unit.

We purchased an outdoor "Deck Box" approximately 1.25 years ago. It has been sitting in our back yard since that time. Over the last 8 months, the lid has warped more than 10", tearing itself from the mounting screws below.

Suncast offers a manufacturing defect warranty for 5 years.
However, they will not honor the warranty, stating we've "abused or modified" the product, and that it has been "subjected to extreme temperatures."

This product has sat in our back yard in San Diego for the whole time. Suncast's claim of abuse is ridiculous, as they sell the product locally, and obviously intend for it to be used outdoors.

After a thorough review of the complaint, the consumer was shipped replacement product.
