Sunset Casket, a.k.a Skycaskets.com or Fastcaskets.com, has the most unprofessional, rude and racist owner, Matthew W***Please do not do business with this SCAM company from Utah! I found skycaskets.com looking for a casket for my father who passed away a few days earlierAfter asking some questions, I told him I'd think about it but then he started to aggressively try and get me to purchase from himHe said that he was the owner and his company has multiple warehouses in Virginia (this was blatantly after doing some research afterwards), so he could get the casket to the funeral home the next dayWhen I told him I'd call him back, he said to me "Why don't you want to buy the casket from me, China Man?" At first, I thought I misheard him but then he repeated that racist statementI asked him why he even thought I was from China and he said he could tell by the way I spokeI then told him that my ethnicity has nothing to do with buying a casket and by the way, I'm not from ChinaI then told him that I refuse to spend my money from a business with a rude and racist owner and then hung up on himMatthew then used his direct line to call me on my phone and said "Do you want to buy it China Man?" I was appalled...what business would harass potential customers? My brothers and sisters were also in the room and overheard the conversation and were disgusted at this repulsive customer serviceI told him I would never buy from a racist owner and hung up on him againHe then called me again and said the same thing "Do you want to buy a casket, China Man?" I hung up on him and then he started texting and harassing meAt this point, I was livid...here I was, grieving for my father while trying to work out all the logistics for a funeral service and now I was dealing with Matthew W***, a nasty and racist owner of a casket company that was harassing meI started Googling his company and found out that he has a track record of harassing other customers and generally being an unprofessional jerk to grieving customersPlease read these reviews before you try to purchase from them: https://www[redacted] .com/review/fastcaskets.comThey will try to SCAM or harass you!!! After getting harassed by phone and text, I called the Utah police department and tried to submit a complaint because I was afraid he was going to do something violent because he was obviously not a sane personThey told me that if they have enough complaints of this company harassing other customers, they can open up a case and start investigatingIf anyone has been wronged or harassed by this jerk owner, PLEASE contact the Salt Lake City or the Unified Police Department and submit a complaint against this companyAt the end of the day, I am relieved that I did not spend my hard earned money on this SCAM company that is owned by a rude and racist ownerHe needs to go out of the casket business and not be able to SCAM people who are grieving for their loved ones

On February 26, @ 2:30pm, I called Sky caskets to order a casket for my father who had just passed away that morningI read the description of the casket to Jonathan as described on the websiteHe then said that that particular casket was called Norwick casketI replied if that is what you call the casket I just described because that name was not in the descriptionHe said yes Then I was told the cask it would arrive the following day February by PMI gave my payment information and then received a phone call from a different person named Colby, Who had me sign the doc you sign form for approval and verified my payment information and the delivery of the casket the following dayOn February 27, at 4:PM at cask it was delivered to Swearingen funeral home in Konawa, Oklahoma that was a purple metal women’s casket The funeral director, Mitch W [redacted] , called me and asked if that was the casket I had orderedI said of course not so he decline

We are sorry but we don't know the best way to help you out. The casket was in transit and attempted to deliver the day before the funeral service and it was rejected. You had cancelled the order while in transit and after we had made arrangements with the funeral home to deliver it. Your statement about it arriving the day after the service, Friday, is as we have documented proof. Unfortunately as the casket had arrived with plenty of time for your service but was still cancelled, we have done everything we could do for you and are not able to do more. We had the casket returned back to our warehouse and we refunded you the appropriate refund due per our cancellation policy. Sincerely,Sky Caskets

Sunset Caskets operates under the name of Sky Caskets online and sells to the public He is only located in Salt Lake City, UT although he claims to have a warehouse location near you so he can charge you 30% to 50% tax Keep in mind if he is out of state he cannot charge tax in another state and normally your tax rate is 7% or 8%, how can he charge 30%? Well he does Sometimes he will have you send the money by Walmart to Walmart and you loose the money Always use a credit card and don't pay sales tax unless you are in Utah

This company is one of the most unprofessional companies, I, as a funeral director have ever had the misfortune of interacting withA person ordered a casket through this company, for their mother's servicesWe informed them that we would accept the package on their behalf only because the person was out of stateThe person made all contact and paid for the services of this company, expecting an AMERICAN MADE casket with white glove delivery, as they told him on the phone and on their websiteWe were called the day before by a man named Travis W*** that the casket would be delivered at 9:30AM, I was out for the day so I made sure to have a member of my office there early to accept the deliveryNow I was extremely doubtful of this company after reading various reviews calling them scam artist, but as my client had ordered the casket, I couldn't say much just that I didn't think they were reputable from their reviews and doubtful that the casket would be American made9:30AM came and went, so did the rest of the day, by 3PM my office manager decided to give the company a callThey first only answered by saying "Caskets" this may due to the fact they are operating under various namesMy office manager informed them of her name and just the name of our funeral home, no town or state, and said that we were still waiting on our casket delivery that was supposed to have arrived at 9:30AMOur office manager was expecting to give more information for him to locate our order but he quickly responded, "Let me look into this and I will call you back." and hung upMy office manager received a call about a half hour later from a man saying his name was Rex and that he would be delivering the casket between 3:45PM and 4:30PM, and that they were told that they couldn't deliver the casket until after 4PM originally, although we had never said thatMy office manager then responded by saying well someone had told us it would be delivered at 9:30AM, and we weren't told anything other than that, she than suggested rather annoyed by the situation that maybe this driver should look for other companies to work for as this one was extremely unprofessional and has VERY poor reviewsAt this point the person who said he was a driver named Rex, informs my office manager he is actually the owner of the company and became very aggressiveHe then begin saying that we were wrong and that they were told to come after 4PM by the customer who ordered the casket (they never said that), at this point I wasn't in the mood to hear any more lies from this company and asked to speak with this man (the Driver turned Owner over the span of minutes), as soon as I began talking to him he was extremely aggravated because I told him that he wasn't correct and that we had been waiting all day for this cheap casketThe man started screaming, I had my office manager on the line listening because he was so enraged and aggressive, if he was in fact the owner of the company he is extremely unprofessionalHe then began to threaten me and kept repeating "call me a liar again", and then claimed he was going to be in our state (which is far away from their UT address) the next day and he was going to find meHe then continued to not stop threatening me and eventually called me a "***" and hung upI was in awe, never in my years of being in this business have I ever been spoken to like that, and threatened nonetheless by the apparent owner of the companyI was so upset I was considering calling the police because I didn't want this man coming to my funeral home to make this delivery, because after all he claimed he was the delivery driver/ownerI called the client to inform that what happened, and the client was shocked, halfway through the conversation the man that had just hung up on me called himThe client called back to inform us that the owner of the company named Ike, told him that he was sorry that the order hadn't arrived on time and sweet talked him and let him know it would be there by 4PM, with an extra mattress and all the bells and whistles he was promisedHe once again assured him that it was going to be an AMERICAN made casket, he even said it was coming from upstate NYWe knew this not to be true, but waited till 4PM, when a man in a beat up rental car came to our door, the man then informed me he had nothing to do with the company and was just a carrier serviceNo white gloves, and he was by himself, leaving me and my employees to help him take it down to our facilityThis man, although wonderful, was not by any means a "white-gloved delivery driver." The box it was shipped in we were told would be taken back by the company, but this driver was made unaware of thatThe box says it was shipped in from JFK, not brought in from Upstate, NY like they informed the driver.The casket was cheap, chipped, and from my expertise, I can say this was not an AMERICAN made casket but a cheap chinese pressed wood casketThe client was actually not given the correct casket, because it was in the wrong gloss finish, and missing the extra pads he had requestedWe don't recommend this company at all, and we urge anyone who is even considering to use this company to please be wary, as they are nothing but scam artists, that do not care about easing the burden of losing a loved one, but rather profiting on grieving people

We hate to go back and forth but the fact is you ordered a casket and it was shipped out. After it was in transit, which we have proof of, you wanted to cancel. The order was canceled and the casket was shipped back to our facilityEvery thing was done according to our terms and conditions of sale. Unfortunately there is nothing more that we can do at this time

My husband died on Saturday, I ordered a casket from sky casket I found online on Sunday about 8:50pm I spoke to Matthew and ordered it I am in SC so he lied to me and told me he was out of Columbia SC and that the casket would be there on Tuesday morning between 9:am and 11: am The casket didn't come in so I called and he then said it would be in on WednesdayI asked for it to be canceled and to refund my money which was because it wasn't going to be there Tuesday as promised He sent me the cancellation e-mail and it was canceledThe casket came in on Friday, the day after the funeral He only put out of back in my account and denied that the casket was not delivered on time Please DO NOT ORDER from these people they take advantage of people in the time of sorrow

I am rejecting this response because: My statement was meant to say that I cancelled the order 'hours' later the same day, I know that it was not an hour later. Also, I was told by the mortuary that you tried to deliver the casket, so if you did not then that is great; you did not pay any shipping fees/delivery fees. You acknowledge that I originally requested the casket to be delivered the following week so why would it ship the same day? I know that I requested the casket for the next week so I knew that I had time to cancel the order. Why was I not refunded the full amount of the casket if you acknowledge that I can cancel and you acknowledge that you shipped an order the same day on your own accord. Also, if you gave me the option to have it delivered the next week, was it truly out for delivery? I am requesting a full refund, what is your reasoning for not providing a full refund? Greed? I cancelled my order the same day; and you acknowledge that this order was not supposed to go out until the following week, you had ample time to cancel. I requested that the casket be sent the following week because I knew that I would not be able to accept it sooner and the mortuary could not accept it on my behalf. Also, if you truly did not attempt to deliver the casket and you "stopped the casket and had it returned to our facility" again, why am I not being issued a full refund? You refunded my card $248.25, when I paid $for the casket, the only thing that you can do for me is refund me $

Dear Customer,We are sorry for your loss of a loved one. We were honored to help you out. One of our reps helped you out and did an express shipment for you and didn't charge you for that. There was also some ground mileage to the funeral home which we were able to cut down for
you. The delivery was setup with the funeral home. While in transit you stated that you wanted to cancel even though it was going to deliver in plenty of time for your funeral service. Even after you cancelled your order we still attempted to deliver the casket just in case you had changed your mind, but it was refused. We are sorry for your loss. I ordered a casket from this company for $on July 27, 2017; I cancelled the casket that same day and also received a confirmation for my cancellation I guess someone did not notify someone else that the casket was cancelled so the company is claiming that they tried to deliver the casket and will not refund me my money I DO NOT have the casket, the delivery was refused because I has already purchased a casket from the funeral home The company has the casket and still has my money This is not a custom casket and the company does not have a no refund policy I have files a dispute with my credit card company but they keep denying my request for a refund I need your assistance

We lost our mother yesterday, we were looking for a casket and found Skycaskets on line and calledI told Matthew what I was looking at on line and he confirmed the price of $he told me that he could have it to the funeral home first thing in the morningHe was located in Ft WorthHe asked me what funeral home our mother was and I told himHe said that he works with them and he can give me a box that normally runs $for free and he will be happy to handle everything himself, he was the CEO and he does not take sales calls and was not even sure how I was able to reach his deskBut he would take care of us in this trying timeI was in the room with my husband so I placed the phone on speaker so if there was any information Matthew needed my husband could add to my knowledge of detailHe asked for the credit card number and said he was sending over a receipt via emailWe received the receipt of the charge and it was $I told him we were over charged and he said wel

I am rejecting this response because: As you stated I canceled the order because it was not going to be delivered to the funeral home as originally guaranteed by Tuesday between 9:am and am. I am not responsible for how it was to be delivered or for the delays that may incur just the guarantee your company gave and it was not delivered as promised. You said you still attempted to deliver even after I cancel meaning you didn't care you just wanted a reason to keep my money. Therefore that's why the casket arrived at the funeral home on Friday the day after the funeral. I should get all of my money back because that is the right thing to do in business
