We were informed by you over the phone that you needed the product asap, Monday or earlier and if the package arrived after then there was no need for it anymore because you had the shoot on MondayThe [redacted] website allows for customer to email sellers directly, so if a link didn't work you were still able to email us through you [redacted] accountWe would not have been able to ship the parcel to a non [redacted] approved address and we were taking a risk by agreeing to send the package to said address even if we got the email through amazons systemUnfortunately a text sent to an employees personal cell phone would not have been acceptable to us or [redacted] should any problems have arisenHow would you like to proceed ? Customer ordered a Panasonic AG-AC8PJ Shoulder Mount Video Camera. upon ordering the product we informed the customer via email of our return policy, days before shipment and he decided to keep the order open. The email is pasted below. When the customer requested to return the item he insisted on... getting a full refund and does not want to abide by the return policies. We told the customer we need to get the product back and inspect it for use and damage, only then will we be able to give the amount we are willing to refund, if we were to break the return policy of charging a 25% restocking fee on the professional Panasonic AG-AC8PJ Shoulder Mount Video Camera. The customer was dismissive of our policies and doesn't want to abide by them, even though he agreed to them at the time or purchase and again upon receiving them via email. directly by Sunset Electronics regarding complaint ID ***, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Sunset Electronics will not refund my money Originally they instructed me to send the camera to the *** Warranty Center because it is under warranty Which I did Panasonic informed me, over the phone, that the camera is an obsolete model that is at least yrs old and is NOT UNDER WARRANTY ANDit is a camera that is not authorized for sale in the USA, so it has no warrantyNow Sunset Electronics wants me to mail the camera to them, at my own expense They claim they will have it serviced or perhaps I will qualify for a replacementwhich I do not want I do not want another obsolete yr old camera that has no warranty And, *** will not even try to fix this camera because of the above reasonsI do not want to do business with Sunset Electronics any more They are selling yr old cameras as "New", promising a yrWarranty that does not exist, and *** says their merchandise is "Not Authorized to be sold in the US" I question the ethics of this company

We have issued this customer a refunded for their order. There are fees associated with the return of equipment. The return fees were also told to the customer via email before the product was shipped to them. High priced professional camera and camcorders like the one purchased by this customer () once opened and used does lose value and can no longer be sold as new and sealed from the manufacturer.

The title of the listing is correct and the main picture of the listing is correct, once the listing is opened the features section specifically lists the items that are included with this purchase. The custoemr can return the order for a full refund if they prefer. The customer paid just under $145...

and is looking for an additional $1500 worth of products without being charged. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to fix the listing on rakutens end, there is an error in this listing, this was not created by us, we spoke with the customer and informed him to contact rakuten to fix the error on the listing.

Review: I placed an order with the company on Sunday, August*, 2013 through [redacted]. The product I wanted had been discontinued by Sony but the site said they had 8 products in stock when I placed the order. The company called Tuesday, August *, 2013 to tell me the item was out of stock and tried to sell me another item instead. The customer service rep at the company told me he had to call several other customers and tell them the same thing. When I went back online at [redacted], the company still had the item for sale but increased the price almost $400. While I can't prove this is what happened, it seems like the company realized the item had been discontinued, cancelled all of our orders and resold the items for a more expensive price. Either that or they flat our performed an illegal bait and switch.Desired Settlement: This company advertised items for sale, told the consumers they were no longer for sale and put the item back on sale for a higher price. They company owes us the product at the promised price. They need to take the item offline and ship it to the customers who already purchased them.

Review: I am a Vietnam Combat Veteran with 100% [redacted] with the VA and the state of CA.

I merely wanted to return an item that I purchased from Sunset and right away they stated that they expected it to be returned damaged and so they had to charge me A RESTOCKING FEE.

In addition, I had to notify [redacted] and ask them to contact the seller to please not do this AND THAT THERE WAS NO MENTION OF ANY RESTOCKING FEE ON THE [redacted] WEBSITE.

Finally they issued an RMA number and never sent me a label and got nasty with some malicious statement that ALL THIS CORRESPONDENCE VIA EMAIL WAS NONPRODUCTIVE???

REALLY? WELL HOW THE [redacted] DO I GET YOU TO [redacted] TO DO THE RIGHT THING??

THAT IS WHY I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT FOR UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICES AND MISLEADING THE CONSUMER AND ALSO ELDER ABUSE.

On the [redacted] website where they sell their products, there was NO indication of any RESTOCKING FEE. It is hidden so it becomes a bait and switch in my mind.Also, if I didn't go by their return policies I wouldn't have returned the item. It HAS been returned and they HAVE THE TRACKING NUMBER.Also, their packing procedures are loose and not up to any packing standard I have ever seen. Some of the pieces of the Bundle were loose in the box and apparently had been banging around in shipment. I know this because when I picked up the box at the [redacted] Store it rattled from loose items.I am not surprised as to their response, if you look at their other complaints, it becomes clear.

That cannot be because the seller already issued an RMA, which becomes part of the legal transaction.This seller is the worst merchant I have EVER dealt with.They KNOW the product is inferior to professional cameras and yet mislead and portray the product as Professional grade. IT IS NOT.

Tell us why here...Attached is Panasonic's brochure for this product, in it Panasonic specifically states that the product is best suited for wedding, seminars, conferences, documentaries, movies, wildlife, nature, sports events parties and shows. Panasonic's objective classification of this camcorder is by no means a subjective opinion, this point can not be argued.We have not refused this customers return. We have issued this customer a refunded for their order. There are fees associated with the return of equipment. These fees were stated on [redacted]s web site and were agreed to by the customer when placing their order. The return fees were also told to the customer via email before the product was shipped to them. High priced professional camera and camcorders like the one purchased by this customer () once opened and used does lose value and can no longer be sold as new and sealed from the manufacturer.
