I signed a contract with Sun Source on Dec 13, 2019 for them to purchase and install an 11.17 solar panel system on my home. I paid a $2,991.31deposit on Dec 13. Upon approval of the engineering plan, I paid another $14,956.55 on Feb 21, 2020. The contract included an agreed upon estimated construction timeline by week, with week 1 being the signing of the contract. Weeks 3-8 include finalizing the design of the system and submitting forms to the power company. This was all accomplished. Weeks 5-10 are described as "Place order for equipment required for the installation." In response to the submission of the $14,956.55 payment I received an email from the project manager on Feb 21 saying "Great, we will get your product ordered." I received confirmation on April 7 that my products had been ordered.
Since that time, I have received very little correspondence from Sun Source on the status of my project.
Most recent emails from the project managers in response to me are:
May 27 - We are awaiting final shipping confirmation. Right now we are still anticipating between June 4th-12th. I will keep you posted.
May 18 - ...We are expecting product to ship the end of this week which would put the install in the last week of March [she later clarified she meant May]
May 1 - 5:10 PM - It is looking like the week of May 15th but that is somewhat tentative. I will be in touch as soon as I know more.
May 1 - 4:34 PM - We are looking forward to continuing the process of installing your array...We will begin scheduling our postponed projects the week of May 15th.
Apr 7 - In light of the coronavirus we cannot provide a detailed timeline of your solar installation at this time. I wish we could.
Mar 20 - ...There will be a delay in the installation schedule...

Timeline weeks 10-18 are for "Solar System Construction." Week 10 began on Feb 17, 2020. Week 18 ended Apr 17. We are in week 26. I have no idea when or if my 11.17kw solar panel system will ever be installed on my house.

I had an appointment set up for installation for the end of March 2020, then they delayed to the end of May due to the Pandemic. I since had no call or no show for the installation of the panels and they are not returning any of my calls or emails. I Just need to know is this company even open any more and do I need to cut my losses and go find another solar company to install my panels?

I received the following email from the company: SunSource Homes is now offering referral money to all our existing customers. If you send us 5 names that you think would a great candidate for solar we will give you $50 right away!
Plus, anyone of your referrals that goes solar you can get up to $1000 cash!
Referral Money Break down:
5kw-10kw system: $500
10kw and over: $1000
Sincerely;
SunSource Homes

I sent them exactly what they asked for and they did not give me the money because they said that these people ended up not being interested

We signed a contract for solar installation in Aprril of 2019. There has been delay after delay. They will not return my calls or emails and I am about ready to seek legal intervention based on their contract statement of installation within 10 to 18 weeks. We are well beyond that. They have over $17,000.00 of our money and I am deeply concerned about their liquidity since the Colorado phone has been disconnected, I have tried every phone number listed and just get voice mail.

We entered an agreement with Sunsource Homes, Inc. on October 19, 2016 to do a complete home remodel. In the contract, it states that we are to receive receipts upon completion of the various work being done, once payment is made for that work. In 2016, we did receive receipts for tax purposes since the furnace was completed and paid in-full. No problem. We have also received various invoices throughout 2017 as work was completed and paid, some still showing an outstanding balance. To date, the job is not finished. However, the energy efficient windows and doors, siding, and insulation have been completed, and, by their own words, has been paid in-full. Starting on November 1, 2017, we have been requesting the receipts for those items since they are eligible for tax credit/purposes. We have been emailing back-and-forth with Sunsource about the receipts, but they are refusing to provide the receipts until the entire job is paid in-full. We are only asking for the receipts for our taxes. The job is not completed, so the final payment is still in-question. But, we are not complaining about that, we just want our receipts. Sunsource has already received over $100,000.00 for this project, most of it paid several months prior to their start date. We believe the refusal is due to a disagreement between us and sunsource about issues with the project, specifically the safety of a back deck and steps. However, this disagreement should not effect our receiving the receipts for work that in completed to satisfaction and paid in-full. We have emailed this issue, repeatedly, with Dr. *** (CEO), *** (president), *** (Bookkeeping/Finance), and *** (Architect). We do not understand why this request, for 2017 taxes, would be any different then our 2016 request, which was satisfied by Sunsource.
