TES Transportation was hired by Montway Auto Transport to deliver a vehicle my dad bought my son in Indiana to Arizona.
We recently purchased a 2016 Hyundai Elantra from Indiana on 11/19/18 and needed it shipped to Arizona. Therefore, my husband looked online for transportation companies and we decided to use Montway Auto Transport. The original order said pick-up was scheduled between Friday 11/30 by TES Transportation ph # XXX-XXX-XXXX or Saturday 12/1, however, the driver *** ph # XXX-XXX-XXXX said he would be able to pick it up Thursday so my father made sure the vehicle was ready to go Thursday evening- he picked it up from the dealership. When the driver picked up the vehicle everything was in tack...nothing was missing on the vehicle. The driver called and said he would be in Arizona on Monday between 11am-12noon....since I work my husband told him that no one would be available until later that evening. However, on Monday something happened at my sons school which caused them to be placed on lockdown so my son stayed home. As a result, my husband said since he is 18 years old, give him the money and let the driver drop it off ...everything should be fine. Unfortunately, that good deed has turned to bite us in the ***....the driver called my son to confirm drop off and when he arrived my son told him the antenna/satellite cover was missing-the piece was missing/off. The driver said no worries it must have come off while driving due to the different weather he went through but said I will send you a new one. My son signed the paperwork and paid him/*** $650 in cash....very big mistake, however, he said he was nervous and confused cause driver didn't speak good English and was pushing him to sign so he did. After speaking to my son, I told him he never should have signed the paperwork or gave him $650 in cash because this was not good service we rec'd. We should have made the driver just wait for me to get off work later that day. Anyway, we are now at this point...a gift that was for my son but now a headache in the long run out of even more money(we got 2 quote they both want between $159-193 for the part and labor is between $3XX-XXX) than we previously anticipated. The top of car roof satellite/antenna cover is missing as you can see from pictures below this part was on the car when he picked it up and per the audio recording he knew he was damaged/came off during transport. I am asking for the money to repair the car be taken out of the $879 we paid to have the car shipped. The cheapest place to repair it totals 525.62 includes the part and repair.

Desired Outcome

I am asking TES Transportation to be held accountable for their actions. The driver *** admitted that the piece was broken off some point during transport over the phone and on a recording i have however he did not write it on the bill of lading he gave my son. The cheapest quote is $525.62 by Horne Hyundai in Mesa AZ. This company will not answer our calls anymore or return them. I will go to the media, news papers, and as high as I can go until my issue is resolved this is not right this is a 2016 Hyundai Elantra that only has 16,000 miles on it we financed this car for my son as a gift to him. Its not fair that we rec'd a broken product when it was not broken when he picked it up. The driver manipulated my son and did not do right by us a consumers.

Damaged Vehicle after shipment.
On 10/15/18 our vehicles were picked up ***. All inspections were annotated on pink copy. Upon delivering the vehicles to Killeen TX on 10/21/18 The toyota camry had damage to
the front left and right side of the bumper. Photos were taken.
Recived estimate form body shop for repair and e-mailed all information to *** and ***. NO RESPONSE. I do not know what to do now. please help

Pay to have the damage repairs.

The company has resolved the problem. They sent us a check for the amount it will take to have the
damage repaired. Thank you for your help.

Scratches in car hood after shipping across country
I shipped a 2017 Mercedes-Benz from Macon, *** to ***. The driver and dealer both signed the Bill of Lading noting no damage. When it arrived at my home it was filthy but no visible damage. I signed the Bill of Lading, but I didn't discover the scratches on the hood until I washed the car after the driver had already left. I contacted TES and after multiple runarounds, then dismissed my claim saying I signed the Bill of Lading. I filed a claim with their insurance carrier and they said they couldn't do anything because my claim was less than *** which is the deductible for TES. Yes, I can sue TES in Small Claims court and win a judgement, but even when I win the judgement, getting them to pay is unlikely without sending Guido to talk to them. I am sure this is exactly their modus operandi when dealing with claims.

Desired Outcome

I want the company to pay for the repairs to my car. I have an estimate of *** from a local paint and body shop.

The scratches were covered by dirt and not noticed until after I signed the Bill of Lading and I had the car washed after the driver had left.

I had a vehicle transported from Oxnard, California to Louisville, KY. The vehicle was damaged during transport. I did everything I had to do to request reimbursement for damages to the vehicle (i.e. list damage on bill of lading, file claim within 24 hours). The company's insurance completed an estimate on the vehicle and it resulted in damages of $406.48. Because the TES's deductible is $***. The insurance company said I had to ask TES for payment directly from them. I called and e-mailed a few times and TES ignored my e-mails and voicemails. I finally got a hold of *** today who said they would not pay for damages because the car was not "shiny." He said that if the car was new and "shiny" they would pay for damages, but since my car was "old" then they weren't going to pay. I insisted on payment as there was no doubt the vehicle was damaged during transport. He grew increasingly upset and hung up on me! I have photos of the car before and after and a copy of the bill of lading signed by both myself and the driver listing the damage caused to the vehicle and provide it upon request.

Desired Outcome

Repair I want TES to pay for the repairs for the damages to the vehicle. According to the estimate completed by TES's insurance, the loss to the vehicle is $406.48. I want TES to either send me a check directly for that amount or to make arrangements to send the payment to a body shop that will complete the repairs.
