The person making the complaint apparently purchased the vehicle from our customer because we have no record in our files of his ever being a customer We will honor the warranty, however this person has to bring his vehicle to our 49th South Shop and leave his vehicle there for us to bleed
the clutch system or find out what the problem is

I am rejecting this response because:
I picked my car up from tanner on the 31st of AugI had it detailed on SeptI have receiptsSo that is a lieTanner claims that my electrical box has water damage but has no pictures or proofThe box is dry upon inspection by my husbandAfter the transmission was fixed, I went to pick my car up and it was deadThey jumped it on the lotI did not have a ignition issue or any other issue besides my transmission as I had it throughly checked before taking it to tannerAfter picking it up I went to another mechanic and my battery and alternator checked goodWhat did they do to kill my battery? Something electrical went wrong with the installation of the transmissionMy car sat in my driveway for a year and fired up and they rebuild my transmission and now my car won't startThis doesn't add upIf they can prove with pictures that the detailing place is at fault fine, but how do u explain my dead car and no it was not the starter because I had it checked before I came to Tanner
Sincerely,

The customer's battery was dead because they had a bad ignition switch that was causing a current drain We replaced the switch but still had other problems Upon investigation of the cause of lights staying on on the dash, we found that the vehicle body computer compartment was filled
with water Seems the customer had his vehicle detailed after he picked it up from us and we assume this was the source of the water contamination of the computer Obviously, neither of the problems were related to, or caused by Tanner Transmission's work

The customer abandoned her vehicle for months without authorization and had ample notification and time to remove it. She did nothing or gave no indication that she would ever do anything but leave it in our shop so it was legally removed from the premises

I agree with the mechanic. None of the problems that the customer says we caused are touched with the replacement of his transmission and clutch

The customer obviously wants someone else to pay for repairs that are not the fault nor responsibility of Tanner Transmissions and will argue that the facts presented to her are forever I suggest that she agree to legally binding arbitration so that the facts can be presented and a decision can be rendered to end what has become an argument

Our diagnostic showed that the transmission control module was not supplying the proper signals to the vehicle and after having procured and replaced the tcm, it was found that damage had occurred in the transmission and recommended an RDI (remove, dismantle, and inspect) service to determine the
extent of the internal damage. The customer declined the RDI service. It is not uncommon that a faulty tcm can cause the transmission to failAs the customer stated in her complaint, the delays were caused by an employee leaving without notice in the middle of handling her repair. I apologize for all of the turmoil, but it was out of my control. We did perform the authorized work, which was the proper method to attack the problem that we saw with the tcm. Until that process was completed, we could not recommend removing the transmission for repairI can see why the customer did not allow us to continue with the repairs needed, but the work we did perform was needed and authorized and I would have applied at least some of the diagnostic cost to the repairs had she approved the recommendation

I am rejecting this response because: Because they told me to get out of there store and I do not want to be arrested because they couldn't do their job right and I simply had told them it was still leaking and had a problem who is going to pay to have it fixed or where else can I go they denied me and toldleaveso leave

Mr*** brought his GMC truck to Tanner Transmissions in Taylorsville, Utah stating that the rear wheels chirped when turning. At this time he signed and dated a document that stated that "I hereby authorize employees or agents of Tanner Transmissions, Incto operate this vehicle where
and as necessary for purposes of diagnosis, testing, repair or delivery." When shown the metal fragments in his rear differential, he authorized in writing for Tanner Transmissions, Incto remove and dismantle his differential and perform an inspection of differential parts for $in order to assess the condition and cost of repairing it. After the differential was dismantled and the price was established for the proper repairs, he declined and requested that his vehicle be put back together. As he'd not authorized this work with his original authorization, he was quoted $for that reassembly and he declined. He then paid for the work he'd authorized and Tanner Transmissions had performed and had his vehicle towed awayTanner Transmissions, Incwill not refund the money he paid for the work we performed and he authorized

If the customer has a problem and is prevented by distance in taking the vehicle into the originating shop, he is instructed to contact that shop for further directions These are the terms of the warranty and the contract between Tanner Transmissions and the customer The customer did
not do this and did not afford Tanner Transmissions the opportunity to have an affiliate examine or repair any defective labor claim; therefore his claim for reimbursement for the work he had performed for his convenience is invalid

I am rejecting this response because:My complaint has never been or is inclusive of the business entity, Tanner Transmissions. My complaint, and I might add over a year and one half ago, was specific to Certified Transmissions. As indicated, the property, building and equipment was purchased by Tanner transmission, only. No business entity changed hands. So, Kristine, let's try to get our *** together and get the facts right, even though this may not happen in a timely fashion. Rather than facilitate a fair and just solution to this complaint, you have only served to *** up my relationship with my current service provider and jeopardize the current warranty, that is currently in place. I will take my time to explain your deficiencies to Jim at Tanner Transmission and resolve the latent stupidity demonstrated. Please close this case as no further correspondence or ineptitude is required

Mrs. [redacted] brought her vehicle to Tanner Transmissions complaining of harsh shifts, slipping, & jumping out of gear.  The diagnostic showed diagnostic trouble codes of internal transmission fault, gear ratio error, and examination of the transmission pan showed excessive metal...

contamination and varnish. The road test results were that the transmission went into neutral on the 2-3 shift when it became hot. The transmission had failed and needed to be rebuilt. Blake did not perform the diagnostic and did not know what the results were.  His job was only to remove and replace the transmission and if there were as many problems as the [redacted]'s state, he didn't even do that right.  I have no documentation of their travails, but I'm sure that there were problems for which I apologise. I have heard nothing more from them so I assume they've experienced no further problems.  Tanner Transmissions has lived up to its obligations under the terms of the warranty and will continue to do so.As I've described above, the removal, repair and replacement of their vehicle's transmission was justified and I am not going to refund the money they spent as they have requested.

The customer received his transmission when Larry told him he would.

The delay was because the customer's vehicle was obsolete and parts were hard to find.  He was given a $200 discount because of the delays even though they were no fault of Tanner Transmissions.

If the customer's description of the transaction is accurate, the manager was in violation of company policy and will be warned and watched for any further infractions. The manager alleges that he only gave an educated guess as an estimate for a vehicle that he had not seen.  Our prices are...

dictated by the parts and labor required to repair or rebuild transmissions and that cannot be determined without seeing the vehicle and in most cases of an internal problem, removing, dismantling, and inspecting the internal parts. He did reduce the price of the actual parts and labor by $500.00.

I am rejecting this response because: Whoever responded is not a mechanic, never has been and has been hired by the...

mechanic to repudiate Revdex.com claims. I have before and after pictures of the damages with date and time stamps. This is not a he said she said situation. This is a documented instance where the proof of the mechanics wrong doing is proven. Not negotiable.
Sincerely,

Mr. [redacted] has no claim against TTFRAN2 LLC dba Tanner Transmissions or Tanner Transmissions, Inc.  TTFRAN2 LLC is a separate entity from Tanner Transmissions, Inc. licensed to do business as Tanner Transmissions by Tanner Transmissions, Inc.  TTFRAN2 LLC purchased only the assets of Certified Transmissions and is contractually not responsible for any liabilities incurred by Certified Transmissions. This was explained to Mr. [redacted] and that is why he had Tanner Transmissions repair his transmission. Our obligation to him is only with his Tanner Transmission warranty and not for any relationship he had with the defunct Certified Transmissions. His reference to the existence of Certified Transmissions in Omaha, Nebraska as related to Certified Transmissions in Draper is incorrect.  They are separate companies.
