My water is leakingAs soon as I noticed it I called platinum home warrantyWhom which I pay forThey said they would send someone the following day between 9-11amSo we waited and they never showedThis was on a MondaySo I called and they told me they couldn't get anyone out again till FridayMy water heater was getting worse by the minuteReally bad leakLeaking outside as well as inside my garage nowThe very rude lady on the phone told me to shut off my waterSo I'm supposed to have no water for days? she said I don't know what to tell you! I told her it was an emergency to get this fixed and it seemed like she really didn't careso they sent someone out on Friday he just looked at it wrote down some part numbersand told me he will be back on Tuesday to install a new water heaterit is now going on two weeks and I still don't have my problem fixed.the lady in the office will not return my phone calls I have emailed the company they will not respond to my emailsI still do not have this problem fixed I have had no hot water for almost two weeksthe water leak is really bad has gone into my walls ruined the cabinets in my garageI'm so glad I pay these guys for them not to do their job

I have a fourteen year old ac unit made by a widely recognized companyIt stopped workingAfter two diagnostic visits (one because I needed service on a Saturday (ac in Phoenix isn't an option), I was told that the compressor was badPlatinum spent a day and then notified me that they could not locate a replacement and that ended their obligationThere is a clause in the agreement stating this but it certainly isn't what is implied when you are enticed into purchasing the agreementMy experience is, that for minor repairs the warranty may have some useRemember, each visit costs $However, I can say that the cost of the policy far exceeds the amount of repair or replacements I have receivedI would not recommend this coverage without recognizing the limitation of the contract

Called them as new home has a heating problemHalf of the dwelling does not get sufficient air flow from the HVAC unitSo one side of the dwelling is frigid and more than degrees cooler than where the thermostat is located
First they want to charge for one visit that never happenedSecond try I had to go out to the street outside my unit to guide the person in(But they were here before?)

I called them on March 16th to report my air conditioning was not workingThey arrived Friday March 20th, paid $and Jeff stated that the compressor was shotI had to call them again 4/to get status and that's when they told me they could order the part and per PHW (Helen) it was in stock with the supplier, but it would take a few days to get someone out and we had to pay $before they would order itThis was for freon recycling? { Not mentioned in Warranty papers) so we paidThey arrived 4/31, Tom worked for a few hours and told us no air, he thinks the the new compressor was bad and he could not get it running They sent a contract company out, to diagnose the problem, days later April 2nd*** from *** *** arrived to see what the problem was***, from an actual Air Conditioning Company, came out and was surprised to see what and how they left this unitThey had a part installed, still in the cardboard box(*** has Picture and I seen this also)
*** from *** ***, said they did not install these parts correctly and we could have had an explosion, if we had tried to use this unitWe had no idea, other than we felt that no one from the company wanted to helpAfter talking to ***, *** ***, he wanted to get this fixed, but he needed to get a approval for $232.+ to diagnose furtherHe contacted Mike with PHW and he told ***, to email the quote and he would take a look the next day, after some meetingI felt again, that no one at PHW cared, except for the bottom lineI called Mike to see why we had to wait, yet againHe said it was policyBy the way, he was very rudeHe accused me of threatening the girls in the office, that I would sue themI had told Loran that I have a year old mother living with us and if anything would happen to her, I was hold Mike responsible, IE sue Him personallyI just wanted to make sure he understood our dilemma, having a elderly person living hereMike didn't seem to care, he just kept saying something about policyHe had to have it in writing before he could make a decision, as he stated "he has to see it in writing and he trusts no one"I told him, that I felt like he and his company could care less about us, it's all about the bottom lineI told him, that I would pay now and he could reimburse us, but no, not during this conversationA few minutes later Mike called back, still hot under the collar and said he would pay the $232.+ but not a penny moreI told him, as *** from *** *** said, that this may not solve all problems, this was just capacitors he needed to move forward and diagnose the systemMike, stated he was meeting me half way and if we agreed I would have to pay the rest of the repair billI then asked him, who's the customer, but he didn't seem to careI also stated I had a warranty and I had already paid out $for nothing so farWell Mike was not very friendly, so we agreed to let *** go and Mike would make the decision tomorrow and get his people to do the repairsI figured it may take awhile, but Mike surprised me and got someone out fastIt seems to me and *** from *** ***, that PHW calls *** *** out to diagnose the problem and then send PHW people ( who don't seem qualified) to come in and see if they can fix itOther words more time lossWell as suspected, they called around 12:on 4/and said Larry, a PHW tech was going to be here at 2:30PMArrived at 2:52PM and as he pulled off the plate, I seen that part that was installed and still in the cardboard boxLarry was apparently knowledgeable, as he was able to get the unit fixed and he was a very nice and courteous guySo far the unit is doing fineIt seems that Mike, needs to understand the customer service side of the business, not the policy side so muchPolicy's are great, but sometimes, the people that enforce them needs to be a little flexibleI probably would not have been so upset, if we had not had so many delays and that the additional cost was known up frontIn my opinion, this company also needs to understand "Good ole Customer Service", or they might learn that no customers means no businessI'm pretty sure I won't be renewing my policy

We had a great experience with David when he came in to fix an air conditioner unitNot only did he fix it, but he also gave us a lot of helpful information as new residents to ArizonaHe helped us figure out what filter sizes were needed for both of our events and was very friendly

We are quite saddened to learn of the complaint filed by MsT***, as we have diligently tried to assist with her refrigerator issue. We completely sympathize with
MrW*** and MsT*** and have done everything that we can to try to help them. We have invested over $towards this repair which far exceeds the policy limitWe understand that sometimes, things just don’t go as intended and sometimes, you just have to bend the rules a little bit. This additional offer of $towards a new refrigerator was a good faith gesture because we value their business and do not feel it fair to penalize them for the decision to try to repair an appliance that ended up not being able to be fixed. We are more than willing to work with MrWalzak and MsT*** and are still prepared to offer them a $reimbursement towards the purchase of a new refrigerator as outlined in their policy coverage terms and conditions. We are also prepared to help them shop for a new refrigerator and or reimburse them for $towards a new unit from any vendor they choosePlease reference the full timeline of events in the uploaded attachment

Every Time I have an issue with plumbing, electrical, A/C the techs at Platinum resolve the problemThey are a great warranty companyI would recommend them to anyone who has purchased a home and wants to keep everything in running order

We are very sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your toiletIt was the technician's opinion that was sent to your home prior that a camera service would be needed to rule out any issues with your line prior to replacing the toilet at your homeAfter you called in on December 2nd
and speaking with you further and hearing your end of the story, Platinum decided to go ahead and send out another company to diagnose and provide a second opinionTo our understanding that technician is scheduled out to your home today, December 4th to assess and provide Platinum with an update on his findingsIf the technician finds the toilet is in fact bad, you do have toilet replacement coverage and the warranty will in fact replace the toiletIf however his findings are that of the first technician, then you will need to have the camera service performed and then provide those findings to Platinum at which point we can look at what can be done to correct the issueWe will certainly be in touch with you in the next day or two to update you as to the outcome of the second diagnosisWe look forward to working with you and getting this issue resolved

When I renewed this policy I was told it was the same and no changes from the previous year.  So tell me why plumbing fixtures were covered under the warranty the previous year.  This is a sad game of I said/they said.  I did not approve the fixture from this year being covered, I could only approve it after the  it was replaced.  I emailed asking for an explanation or proof that I approved it.  An invoice after it was replaced is all they can provide. Hard to say I approved it after they had already fixed it and didn't call me prior to charging 163.00 for a cartridge?  The office still has not sent an itemized bill.  The invoices they supplied are not a breakdown.  A one word sentence is not a breakdown.  They a grossly overcharging for services provided, and pick and choose what they choose to cover and I have receipts to prove the fact. One year it's covered under the exact same policy but the next year it's not.  that invoice is closed and I won't be surprised if they try to charge me for that as well.  The office staff there still have not sent an invoice.  my next complaint will be to the [redacted] registrar of contractors, there are some in my opinion some major issues within his company.  They cannot explain or break down a billing invoice in detail and the charges are not explained.  Any other work I've had done is explained in detail what I'm paying for and the price of the services given.  This company has obviously created their own billing system and I question the legality of it.  The warranty they provide is purely scam, I question the contract behind it, whether anything is actually covered, they make their own definitions of what's covered and I will never be doing business with this company again in the future and will advise all others to do the same.

Received excellent service .Would definitely recommend them.Always professional and informative and efficient.

I understand that there are limitations; however, the pipe that was leaking was not only 3 feet underground but was also under 3 rooms of my house. This would have caused significant damage to the home, even more so than the water leaking already had, as I had explained on the telephone. Because we opted not to break all of the floors in the home, there was no pipe to actually expose and repair for Platinum to assist. They had to cut the pipe and reroute it. Not only did Platinum neglect to cover the cost of rerouting the pipe, but my home owners insurance refused to cover any of the work at all. I have had to go through Platinum many times for services within the one year I have owned my house. Including 4 times in one summer for the AC in which they would not make it an emergency in over 110 degree heat. I am having a hard time understanding how Platinum can possibly assist with the remaining work if they could not assist with the leak itself nor could they get my AC working until their 4th attempt.

AC unit broke down in the middle of a Phoenix Summer.
The technicians came three times before they foundout what the needed part was and replaced it on the fourth trip 5 days later.
Supervisor not willing to answer, nor return my phone call about the matter.

12/29/2016 I received a check from Platinum today for $260.00 and have deposited it.

We have had excellent service from our Platinum Home Warranty. They have repaired our AC, replaced our garbage disposal, repaired our water softener and replaced a toilet tank mechanism. All of our requests for service have been promptly taken care of within 1-2 days and all of the service/repair people have been very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Could not be happier and we will continue to renew our warranty.

Do you have a home warranty? Have you considered one to protect your appliances? My refrigerator (17 years old) just went out. Fortunately, I have Platinum Home Warranty! One phone call and someone was here the next day to access the damage. They replaced my refrigerator with a new one of my choice. Yes, I had to pay a portion of the replacement cost but it was my choice to upgrade. I am 100% pleased with the service I received, courteous and timely. I highly recommend Platinum Home Warranty!
