*** ***,Thank you for forwarding this complaint to our office for this responseRegarding *** *** and his case, we attempted to be clear from the start regarding services to be provided and what his expectations should beContinually and throughout his entire case he questioned us regarding
what he was paying and what he perceived he was receivingAnd continually we attempted to address for him what services we were providing, the reasons why these certain services made sense for him, and what would be the anticipated outcomeWith the outcome being the completion of federal and state resolutions and reduction of his tax debt by $These services were completedWe understand we cannot make everyone happy, especially when we are dealing with the IRS and tax issuesBut this type of complaint we do find the most disappointingWhen we have a client who's service we did complete, a client we informed along the way what would be the outcome, knowing the potential outcome the client continued with our service, and then once his case was completed filed a complaintWith the complaint written in a manner to dissuade people from becoming a future clientWe only hope that individuals that read this complaint and complaint response will also read our over positive Revdex.com reviewsWe are not the things this complaint attempts to label us, we are a company that provides needed services for hundreds of people every dayWe do apologize to *** *** if he did not find value in what was provided and have spoken with him regarding his desired complaint resolutionThank you again for bringing this complaint to our attention and allowing this responsePlease let us know if any additional information is requested Sincerely, *** ***Tax Defense Network

Ms***,We continue to stand by our earlier responseMr*** was informed during a phone conversation on August 17, that his loan with the outside financing company was cancelled, he would be receiving a check, the check would include only principal payments, and the *** company would withhold the interest paymentsI am including the call with this responseRegarding the *** company being instructed by TDN to only send back the principal paymentsThis is not something we would have saidWe are given the option with the *** company of having the fiance company either cancel the loan, cheaper option for TDN because we sometimes can keep some funds, or cancel the loan and return principal payments back to the client, this is the more expensive option because TDN receives no funds from the *** company and many times goes into the negativeWith Mr***'s case, we did the most expensive option and requested for his loan to be cancelled and principal payments returned. With this case and loan we did everything we could to help resolve this issue and have as much money returned to Mr***We do apologize for any confusion created between Mr*** and TDNPlease let me know if any additional information is neededSincerely, *** *** *** ***Tax Defense NetworkLLC

Dear Mr***,Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and allowing this responseThe complaint questions our process and our decision making regarding how we begin a case and qualify a clientTo properly answer the complaint there needs to be an understanding how these determinations
are made and how it was applied to Mr*** and his caseA case is began when someone contacts us either online or by directly callingOur first step is a consultation with a Tax Defense Network ("TDN") consultantThe consultation is free and the goal is to diagnose the problem as it is presented to us by the potential clientBased on the information provided by the client the consultant explains how we feel we can assist the clientIf the client agrees with the consultants proposed plan, the consultant sends our Service AgreementThe Service Agreement outlines services TDN will performOnce the client has signed and returned the Service Agreement, the case moves to the next step, our review processOur review process is two stepsStep 1, is a call to the IRSThis call verifies tax amount owed, years not filed, and potential IRS actionsStep 2, is a call between the potential client and a TDN Case Review OfficerThe goal is to review IRS information, discuss services to be completed and make sure both TDN and client are on the same page with case expectationsIf the call goes well, the case is then assigned to a Tax Analyst and work is beganI went through this explanation to show the steps we take to ensure we can help a clientMr*** went through this processThe issue with Mr***'s case was his income and expenses. After we began the case, we found that the financial picture Mr*** initially discussed with us was different from the one we were now workingMr*** said he did not have much money to pay toward the tax debt because of financial obligations, specifically church tithingMr*** did not mention the tithing during his consultation or reviewIf he had we would have informed this may be an issuePlease know we understand peoples feelings toward tithing and its importance to themUnfortunately only in certain instances does the IRS allow tithing payments before IRS paymentsWith the tithing TDN argued for weeks attempting to get tithing includedIn the end, due to Mr***'s income, his other expenses and his tithing, the IRS would only agree to the tiered agreementThe agreement does allow Mr*** two years to make smaller IRS payments, giving him breathing room and time to fit a higher IRS payment into his monthly budget. With this case, Mr*** was involved during the entire processFrom the consultation, to the review, to our efforts and struggles to get all expenses and tithing includedWe are disappointed by the complaint and also by the incomplete picture it depictsWe have contacted Mr*** regarding his refund request, providing him the necessary paperworkOnce this paperwork has been received back to TDN we will consider the complaint closed.Thank you again for allowing our responsePlease let us know if any additional information is neededSincerely, *** ***Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network

I am rejecting this response because: During the entire process, the firm misrepresented their intent and ability to resolve our issue with the [redacted]. We have maintained an accurate record of all our communication that began during November of 2016 to date. Unfortunately, your page only allows upload of (4) attachments. That said, during the entire process we stated that we were not in agreement with what Tax Defense Network claimed they had performed. In fact, the totals they claim we owe or more than the [redacted] stated in September of 2016.We would like for you to notify any potential consumers of the business practices and lack of integrity of this firm. In addition, we seek repayment of the funds given to this firm for unacceptable results.

Ms. [redacted], Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. To pay for services with Tax Defense Network ("TDN"), Mr. [redacted] used an outside [redacted] company. After Mr. [redacted] cancelled his case with TDN, we worked directly with this [redacted] company to have the funds paid to TDN...

returned to the [redacted] company. Releasing Mr. [redacted] from any financial obligation associated with his loan. With the loan being cancelled, Mr. [redacted] received from the [redacted] company any money that he paid toward the principle of this loan. The [redacted] company retained any monies that were paid toward the interest associated with the loan. The terms of the funds being returned by TDN to the [redacted] company, the money sent to Mr. [redacted], and the money (interest) retained by the [redacted] company were all explained to Mr. [redacted] in a phone conversation with TDN on August 17, 2017. During this call Mr. [redacted] acknowledged that he understood everything and thanked us for assistance. Please let us know if any additional information is required. Sincerely, [redacted]Tax Defense Network, LLC

Mr. [redacted]We have made several attempts, by both phone and email, to reach Ms. [redacted]. She has not replied. Please ask her to contact us so that we may resolve. Sincerely, [redacted]Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network

I feel that we have reached a mutually satisfactory result. The management team took over and was very helpful. We determined that situation was not typical to most and couldn't be resolved therefore a refund is going to be issued. Probably a great company for most just not a fit for my circumstances.

I have reviewed the business response, on 9/19/2014 [redacted]...

representing the tax defense network had not been able to return my calls ,when I filed with Revdex.com he contacted me and stated it would take a a couple months to resolve and he took a bullying tone with me
I reviewed the process I had been put through , and he emphasized that no one else had complained about tax defense and stated I was happy with the service. when I reviewed with him in august about what had happened he took a bullying tone with me then.
I told him that I cold have made offer and compromise, and he again state that this was very difficult again bullying tone, told me if I had not filed a complaint it would have been easier to resolve.,
NOw  another person has stepped in and called yesterday,3/13/2014, this is the contact that was made and they left a message.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: In my response to Mr. [redacted] as of 11/13/2017, I relay the following "As you may recall, I mentioned this same solution to you before I escalated things to the Revdex.com. What my [redacted] and I desire is a full refund. We are still mystified as to why your firm misrepresented your services from the onset. For this very reason, we preferred written correspondence, en lieu of telephone conversations. We have a written record of all our exchanges with your company. Please let us know how you intend to proceed." As previously mentioned, we have “all” of our correspondences documented. As such, no need to forward anything to us. What we require is a “total” refund of what we paid: $4,950.00.

Ms. [redacted],Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and allowing this response. The problem was an IRS coding mistake. This mistake changed the resolution start date from April 28 to March 28. When Ms. [redacted] contacted us to discuss this date change, our response should have been...

better. Our response was not rude or slow but it was lacking in awareness of the stressful situation our client was experiencing. Instead of taking away stress, we added stress. The individual involved with this response has spoken to Ms. [redacted] and expressed their regret and apologized. In regards to the IRS issue, it has been resolved and Ms. [redacted] has been made aware.  Thank you, [redacted]Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network

Ms. [redacted],Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and allowing this response. Ms. [redacted] contracted with Tax Defense Network ("TDN") to complete the following services:1. Federal Income Tax Returns for2009-20144. Prepare Individual State Income Tax Returns for 2009-20115. Power of Attorney Consultation and Representation, IRS ResolutionThe case was started March, 2015. Over the past year we have made numerous contact attempts by both phone and email requesting documentation. We have received some documents but not enough to properly represent Ms. [redacted] to the IRS. We understand there have been medical issues and we have been sensitive to those issues. With Ms. [redacted] expressing on several occasions her gratitude for our patience. Ms. [redacted] was contracted for IRS representation. We attempted for a year to provide this service, but did not receive needed items. We understand the frustration of the case not being completed but the issue was not TDN's. We were attempting to work with the client and her situation. We have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and issued a partial refund for services not completed. We do understand sometimes clients do not want to continue and would have gladly done this refund for Ms. [redacted] without having to involve the Revdex.com.Thank you again for allowing this response, please let us know if any additional information is needed. Dear Ms. [redacted],Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. I have spoken to Mr. [redacted] regarding this complaint and our current options. After our discussion, Mr. [redacted] has decided to continue working with Tax Defense Network (TDN). We also discussed some of the language included in...

the complaint. Specifically regarding the idea of fake reviews on our site and other reviews online. Mr. [redacted] said including this language was a mistake on his part, and he is requesting of the Revdex.com the opportunity to modify this incorrect statement. Please know we do not have fake reviews.Thank you again for allowing this response. Please let me know if any additional information is requested.  Sincerely,  [redacted]Director of Client RelationsTax Defense Network

Ms. [redacted],We have continued to attempt to communicate with Dr. [redacted] regarding complaint resolution. There does not appear to be any cooperation from **. [redacted] toward us to resolve this complaint. In our most recent email exchange [redacted] gave this reply:   "If you are not prepared to refund our money spent, then we will see you in arbitration."This indicates that [redacted] is requesting arbitration. Please contact him to discuss next steps. Sincerely, [redacted]Tax Defense Network, LLC

Ms. [redacted],It feels we reached an impasse with resolving this complaint. We believe that arbitration may be the only way to resolve. Please let us know the next steps.  Thank you, [redacted]Tax Defense Network, LLC
