Com billed me for 481$ and change they just sent me a new bill for 603.19$ instead of trying to figure out how their new system failed them and mePlease help and attack them for their war against us here in MaineYou are supposed to be the protection for the consumers please step up and do somethingThere is about people in Maine being over charged because of this company!

For some apparent reason my light bill is coming excruciatingly high on a monthly basesNow keep in mind it’s only me my husband and my son who has cerebral palsyThere’s no way our bill should be exceeding dollars a month

CMP has not followed through with several issues I have contacted them about and because of this my bill is over $1,000, which I cannot afford to pay The first issue is that they changed our account number so that when HEAP reviewed our account with them for assistance, they informed us the account was at a $balance I then contacted CMP and HEAP and explained what had happened and provided HEAP with the new account number given by CMP They assured me that the financial assistance would be sent to CMP very soonHowever, there is still no payment shown on my CMP bill The other issue is that CMP claimed that I owed money for an old account (over three years old) that I had actually paid in fullThe woman on the phone told me that she had to add the amount to my bill but to send in the proof of payment and they would remove the amount from my bill if I could find the proof I found the proof of payment and sent it in by fax, e-mail, and regular mail and have followed up with t

I had to call CMP and request their help with a certain issueThe first two people that I talked to refused to even try to help and dismissed me immediatelyThe third one (***) took the time to listen, checked with her supervisor and was able to help meShe was courteous and helpful.........................her great attitude and customer service was greatly appreciated:)

I find it hard to believe that my electricity usage went up 104kw in a month that I didn't have any electricity for straight daysNo changes were made from one month to the next and I didn't have the furnace on yet because we were using the woodstove on colder daysI feel like this is not accurate and I have tried to get in touch with someone at cmp and the customer support line won't allow you to wait to speak to a person or leave a message it just says they are experiencing high call volume try again laterSo I tried going online to fill out an email response and it's been a couple of weeks and I haven't heard anything back from themI have tried going online to check the usage tool and that is surprisingly down as wellThis has been extremely frustrating with no ability to resolve itI feel like the smart meters are not accurate and I am being ripped off

CrooksOur bills continue to be double and they now owe me $No other business would be able to get away with this!

CMP is our only option in Maine for electricity and the lack of competition allows them to serve with poor customer service and inefficient business toolsLet me elaborateAlthough this has happened to me multiple times, I will describe the most recent, which was todayI went on to their website, which is difficult to navigate and difficult to use, and saw that my account balance was $I paid $Next, I went to find my payment history or my bill to review, since $is highThe only way I could view my bill was to enroll for online ebillingI previously un-enrolled because I made many requests for my bill due date to be adjusted and they never responded to meBut, in hopes of seeing my bill, I re-enrolled todayWhen I did so, my bill downloaded and it said that I only owed $You can imagine my frustration, since I just paid $When I have had this trouble in the past, they told me that their website is not for billing and payment history, it is more of a filing sy

My fiancee has always struggled with her health and our bills suffered for itShe had a heart attack in and while she was in the hospital CMP forced us to give them a dollar deposit to keep the power onWe were late but always paidFast forward years later and they are telling us now that we haven't made consecutive payments to allow them to release our depositWe were never made aware of thisOur account is current and we are in a better place as far as timely payments, it is directly debited from our accoungI will admit we have doubled up on payments occasionally if needed during her recoveryIts been yearsI want my back and CMP is being unethical-they are federally funded and should not be allowed to prey on the misfortune of others

For the past years I have asked CMP to Maintain their linesLast year I called them, and told them and possibly trees were deadThey told me to mark the trees and someone would be outThey never showed upThis summer I called them to tell them the problem is crucial, because the trees didn't have any leaves, and the situation could be dangerousA couple of months ago, I called againI spoke to them weeks ago, and told them a tree had fallen taken out the roof of my chicken coop, and a couple of minutes before my husband was feeding the chickensThey told me they were going to remove their equipment and the trees could be removedI talked them last week, and they told me they were still trying to come up with a resolutionWelltwo days ago another tree fell on the line knocking out my power for a few secondsI told them it is still leaning on the wire several feet in the airHUGE TREE! Someone showed up yesterday, and told me he couldn't cut it down, because it could

Wow! Our bill tripled and CMP has no logical answer for whyWe can't afford $a month for electricity!

CMP has charged me $for this months electricity bill compared to $in previous monthsWhen I called to discuss this, I was advised that I must have faulty appliancesThey have given this excuse to HUNDREDS of other customersAn investigation into their Billing System NEEDS to be done

With a changeover to a new billing software in October 2017, I started seeing monthly (paid) bills from more than a year back pop up in my dashboard of UNpaid bills, only to quickly disappear a day or two laterWe run a strict household where power is used conservatively, and our bills are now astronomically higher than in Winters past Now seeing that I am far from the only one in this situation, CMP continues to insist via their spokesperson that it could be a faulty appliance or other item at fault within the home I'm barely able to pay the new fees their charging, and I know others with families are now paying far more than I am, and far less able to afford it I will be aggressively seeking a refund when the news does come out that their software was in error

Cmp(central Maine power) is charging me 483.00$ and saying I have not made a payment with them since April I sent a check for June's power bill they accepted it but say I owe a lot of money for a bill I don't think I owe forPlus they sent it into collections before ever notifying me about it which can only hurt my credit score even more than it already has

Cmp has increased my bill for the last months They say I have usage almost 50% more than what I did last year and I know that is incorrect my bill has never been over in the summer's for one mo th now it's almost I have tried to dispute my billing with them but they either hang up on you and wait over an hour to speak to someone I want my bill to by adjusted because I know its incorrect

Central Maine Power continues to put our account on *** I have told them by phone and by email to send us paper bills We prefer to pay by check A month ago I was assured by customer service that we would be off *** I checked my account days later We were still on ***so they failed to carry out our preference I contacted customer service again by website email to have our account put on paper copy I was told it would be Today I received an email stating we were on *** We have not asked for itMy guess is that there is a flaw in their computerized systems or their policy is that if you ever pay electronically, you are on ***for ever I have once again asked for a paper copy of the bill in the mail

Hi, I received a CMP bill today along with a threat to disconnect my powerMy problem with this my bill has gone from roughly $to roughly $both my husband and I work all day and do not use enough power in month to total a bill that bigOur bill roughly runs $to $most month and the or month we run the AC it is between $and $and now I receive a bill of almost $saying I have a past due amount of $and current bill of $First and foremost I received a credit checks in the mail at the begin of July and August for over payment on my billBot check were roughly a total of $ An now they saying I never paid my billI don't appreciate having my power threated to be shut off on a CMP error nor do I appreciate the outrageous bill they are claimingI have filed I complaint with CMP as well as with you at the Revdex.comI want this solved this is not the first time I have had issue with CMPI also noticed that they do not even have the corr

My husband is currently at Annual Training for the *** *** *** and is on Active Duty Orders during this timeWe closed on a home yesterday and were alerted this morning that there was no power at the home by our contractorIt was an oversight on my part to not have taken care of this beforehand, but since my husband is gone and I am taking care of our two children and all aspects associated with buying a home and moving by myself, it is a little chaoticI immediately attempted calling CMP upon finding out that our service had been disconnectedThe Residential Customer Line had an automated message saying they were closed until 1pm today and for service issues to call the outage lineI hung up and called the outage lineI waited minutes to be connected to a representativeWhen she answered, I explained that we had just closed on our home yesterdayShe told me that she was only there for emergencies and proceeded to hang up on meNow, my new home has no power, in d

6/14/I contacted CMP and the new building committee as far as relocating a pole in my driveway, and changing the service location
6/29/the new building planner *** came to take a look at the operation(relocation of power entrance)It was decided that I needed three things to happen, number one I needed a new pole installed that CMP would hook too.2) I need all the power from that pole run underground to my house and garage3)Then I need the existing Pole which is CMP to removed from my yardThe other pole is not CMP is but it needs to be disconnected before it can be moved(by me legally)I was given a bill, for dollars, that had to be paid in person or by mail to the Fairfield office, which is over an hour away
7/15/went to the Fairfield office and paid the bill
While in the fairfeild office on the 15th, I spoke with *** over the phone who said it was okay that I should remove the telephone pole from my front yard(Also that they would remove the co

The Public Utilities Commission contacted CMP twice to have them call me regarding October 2017's over billingThere a large storm and we used our Generator for power, nearly 25% of the monthCMP said, that the billing system was changed in October so I was billed moreIf the billing was changed I would have a chance of lowering my bill, but some CMP changed so it doubled my bill, and did account for Generator useMy bill should have $dollars minus $for generator use that cost me $for gasInstead, CMP billed me $

I experienced issues with power for and extended period of time that consisted dips and surges in power to the residence I reside atI called CMP and asked them to come investigateThey came and found no concernsThey put in an order to have a device attached to the house that would read the power supply over several daysI am an electrician so I proceeded to do some testing internally to the home to confirm in was not internal to the house systemI found no problemsThe problems persisted and continued to become more often It burned up a surge protector for the TV/ circuitI called again and they again came to inspect with no solutions found and confirmed a power logger had never been installedI burned up another surge protector and outdoor flood light and started tripping breakersI called CMP and had them pull the meter so that a licensed master electrician,a second electrician, and myself could inspect the entire system internal to the houseNo problems where foundWh
