Refuses to shut off my service via email and won't tell me what my account numbers areWon't answer the phone

We are in the process of building a small house in Cornville, ME We are not there during the week, we do not run heat during the week (only the pellet stove on weekends while we do work int he house), there are no lights hooked up yet and we only use the power tools on part of Friday, Saturday and Sunday How can our bill be almost $100.00?!?!?! We are using less power now than when the excavating was going on in the summer and our bill was lower then I live in MA and heat with electric, bedroom apartment and my bills aren't this bad It has to be calculating something wrong in the background, $per month to not even be living there yetI feel for those who are on a fixed incomepeople are going to freeze, go without meds or food to pay this outrageous fee!

Central Maine Power is claiming my usage has almost doubled as compared to the year prior..even though I have fewer people in my house and am closing off rooms to heatWhen I addressed this with them, they insisted it was a result of an issue on my endHow can my usage register as doubled when I am heating fewer rooms and have fewer people home to use electricity (washer/dryer/water heater/ rooms, etc)? I even had them test my meterThey claim it is accurate I know I am not the only one with this issue, but what alternatives do simple customers like me have when it is my word against a big company? My bills are doubled!! This is completely unacceptable Can anyone advise what we as consumers can do to fight this? There is no alternative to electricity, so we are at the mercy of this company

CMP stated that my usage of electricity more than doubled any electricity I have ever used since living in my homeI reached out to other people and got the same responseIt’s not possible that my electricity usage more than doubled within one month

I have property located at ** *** *** *** in Boothbay, Maine I received my bill from CMP due on August 13, in the amount of $ I called to pay this invoice thru he automated system and was told the amount due was $which I paid again thru the automated system Today, August 17, I received an invoice for this amount I paid thru the automated system & I called and spoke with *** who indicated my account has a credit When I asked that a new bill be sent he told me that could not be done When I asked to speak with a supervisor he informed me one was not available I asked to speak with someone higher than the supervisor and again was told no matter me was available I asked to be put on hold and again my request was denied I have been a customer of CMP since and this practice of how I was treated is unacceptable
I am seeking your assistance to resolve this issue Thank you

Over charging for electricity use

This is an evil company ,, they wack my account for almost dollars ,, not authorization from me ,,, latest bill for July ,,,, dollars ,, I complain to them and get nothing from them ,,,,, I am on fixed income ,,,, how do I survive with this Bull ,,,,,, had a bill for almost in March ,,,,,, They will do nothing about my complaints ,, minutes on hold to get sent to another dept to wait another minutes ,,,, company sucks

Central Maine Power is refusing to restore power in a timely manor, they are allowing their customers to go hungrythis power outage may be from the storm but their response time is not acceptable and they are the ones at fault for any damage after hoursthis was day with out any information

My usual monthly power bill is somewhere around $A couple of months ago, however, I received a bill well over $300, so of course I was suspicious I hadn't added any appliances, or used more power than usual, so the amount seemed unlikelyI called CMP, and waited on hold for minutesI finally spoke to a young woman who was clearly clueless, and was then shunted off to another departmentI waited another minutes or so, and was finally connected to a billing agent who pressured me into signing up for an automatic monthly payment plan to cover the billNeither person was willing to admit that the bill might be an error, though I'm fairly sure that that's exactly what it wasI've since learned that others also report being over-charged during this period, so I'm sorry I agreed to payCMP has been a consistently lousy provider, and I wish I'd contested the whole thing further

over minutes on the phone to talk to one lady who just put me on hold and another who refused to even try to help me with a minor issue of paying for a month that was misbilled to my landlordwowi'm trying to pay for service that I used at my house and they arent facilitating that- isnt that in your best interest?

I am one of the many customers who has seen a spike in my electricity monthly charges I was able to get my usage charges down to around $27-$30, per month in November and starting in January 2018, my bill spiked to $37.00, followed by $in February and March April was $35.00, May was $and July was $ June and August were about the amount at $
I am very conscious of my energy usage I rarely have lights on, even in the evening and if I do, it's only in room at any given time I use energy saving appliances, including oven, tv and furnace, as well as energy saving light bulbs There should be NO reason for my usage to fluctuate as much as it does and certainly not spike during certain months! My daily routine pretty much stays the same every day with no increases in usage
I am asking to have this matter looked into, including my meter being checked by someone outside of CMP as well as a credit placed on my bill for the overcharges

The Town of Jackman is getting left out in the coldOutages have quadrupled in the past years and CMP has no plans to correctThey like charging the high rates at the same time they lower service

I opted to have my bill directly taken from my checking each month with CMPThis process includes picking a date from which my bill would auto pay each timeI have a very busy schedule so this was supposed to make my life easierYet it has proven to be nothing but a nightmare full of excuses from this companyI have called them several times due to the fact that they take my money whenever they pleaseMy bill was not due until November 10th yet money was pulled Tuesday October 30thThis caused an over draft in my account, and it is not the first time it has happenedI would love to stop my auto pay, but I never really know what day of the month it is most of the time I am so busyPlease I need some kind of help as they think they can just do whateverI am a grandmother now raising my grandsons and working over hrs a weekTalking to them does no good as there is always some stupid reason why they pull it when they doWhy pick a day so they can still take it when they want
