A statement from my Daughter 
The ad they placed stated the vehicle was under warranty.  When the vehicle was picked up [redacted] told me it was road ready and was under warranty for 3 months or 3,000 miles.  He also gave me a paper that had the warranty boxed checked.   Regards,[redacted]

[redacted] THE truck is in shop here in Alabama being repaired by a certified ford diesel mechanic at a cost of around 2500.00 .these people at the dealership wants me to bring truck back to them for repair and they will pay labor. They know truck can,t be driven that far 650 miles with blowed head gasket.They can pay repair cost here.   Thank You for your help in this matter.

I did not have a chance to return the vehicle to the sales location as they were near closing and I was facing either a 1,000 mile drive or having to purchase tickets for my son and I to fly home without the car.  When relaying the message to [redacted] at TAL (after we were at home in Ohio) she said to fax the work to be done at our vw dealer, which I did, and she would take care of it, so there was no discussion with TAL about retuning the car for repair. Also, TAL has offered, and I accepted , $700 as compensation for the $1500 bill. While I would certainly prefer to have been made whole, [redacted] stated that that was the most they would pay for the repair, as they "were already losing money on the car".
