Texas Roadhouse Reviews (%countItem)

I placed a to go order on the Texas Roadhouse website and paid online using my debit card. The payment was immediately taken out. But after placing the order I realized that I had ordered from the wrong restaurant location so I called to cancel the order. The woman on the phone said they’d cancel the order. I’ve tried calling the restaraunt and have emailed them to see when I would get my refund and they still haven’t responded. It’s been 5 days since it happened.

The store has issued a refund and compensation for this guest . This can be closed out on your end . Thank you

Texas Roadhouse has items on menu for $9.99, Monday through Thursday until 5:00 pm. I took a friend, my brother and his wife out for her birthday on 9/6/2018. We arrived at 4:15 pm. Two dinners were from the $9.99 menu. Final bill had the normal price rather than the $9.99 price. I alerted the manager. She prepared another bill. I put it on my credit card and left. The original bill with the wrong prices showed up on my statement. I notified Texas Roadhouse corporate offices. So far, no word from them about correcting the billing error.

The Guest Services Department of this company is deceptive and highly unprofessional, despite calling themselves "legendary". I telephoned twice yesterday (Sept. 17, 2018) and each time the representative "banged" the telephone up on me. This person identified herself as "***" and when I asked for CEO *** of the company to call me, she said he didn't work there. She refused to give me the name of the company's CEO and she also denied speaking to me during my previous call to her. Please be advised that I purchased a gift card from Texas Roadhouse and yet it was refused by a restaurant in Richmond Indiana. Further more, I telephoned the gift card telephone number at Texas Roadhouse earlier on the same day and was informed that my card was valid and in good standing. I find Texas Roadhouse to be practicing fraudulent and highly unethical business practices!

***, he owner of the Richmond restaurant telephoned me the evening of September 17, 2018 and admitted this was "not my mistake". He apologized for the humiliation and extreme embarrassment I suffered at his restaurant. Mr. mentioned he would be l"furious" if this had happened to himself. He also said he would utilize my experience as a training opportunity for his employees. I was very surprised he didn't at least offer me some type of compensation.

The matter in the store was "somewhat" resolved, but the incident involving the corporate customer service department is far from over and has not even been discussed by Texas Roadhouse, Inc. I was lied to over the telephone by "***", she even denied speaking to me! I have been informed that the CEO (***) of the company will be contacting me when he returns to his office in the next two weeks.

Dr.

My friends and I experienced a horrible visit to this location. We were treated with complete disregard, they called multiple parties ahead of us although I’m certain we arrived before them. Finally Seated after 2 hours of waiting. The two waiters we received were disrespectful, discourteous and flat out rude. She brought me a burnt sweet potato, she threw the bowl of bread down on the table, mocked my friend accent, and brought a cocktail 3/4 full. I would never in life recommend ANYONE to this location. They have discriminatory service...you have been advised.

Thank you for your review. We'd like the chance to learn more about your visit, please give our Guest Relations team a call at 1-877-426-3672.

Dec. 2017 Texas Roadhouse had a promotional gift card program. Buy $100 gift card and get $30 gift coupons (I originally was told gift card before I purchased, buyer beware!). After making the purchase I was given the $30 "gift coupons"(one-$20 and two-$5). The problem came when I tried to redeem said coupons, I found that there was significant restrictions on the use of these coupons, they could not be used together or with any other offers and they expired on March 31st 2018. The expiration I understood and accepted. My complaint is that when I asked the salesperson prior to my purchase in Dec. I was not informed to these significant and very restrictive facts regarding these coupons. Therefore, I believe Texas Roadhouse willfully misrepresented this offer and scammed the public. I talked to the manager of the Queensbury restaurant the day I tried to redeem these coupons on Feb 16th 2018 and she explained all the "fine print" then. I asked her why then, didn't I receive a $30 coupon at the time of my purchase instead of three separate coupons. One $30 coupon I could have used my next visit, but since they were individualized and they could not be used together Texas Roadhouse scammed the customer into returning three different times to redeem these coupons. I contacted TR guest relations on 2-23-18, spoke with ***. She took all my information after I explained that I believe TR was misrepresenting their $100/$30 offer and I feel I was scammed by the salesperson by not explaining clearly TR promotion. ***, informed me that I would be contacted within 72 hours by her supervisor, as of 3-5-18 I have not been contacted. I paid cash for my bill and left the manipulative coupons with the store manager.

Called to get take out 1/26/2018 at 5:15 PM Was put on hold. Finally got somebody at 5:30. Placed order and was told would be ready in 1/2 hour. Arrived on lot at 6:00 PM. Sat on lot until 6:45 PM. Nobody came out. Called take out number again. Was put on hold again. Finally somebody answered. Told them I was going to drive off. 7:15 somebody finally showed up to take money. Finally got food at 7:30. Checked bag, had no rolls, utensils, Butter or sour creme. Food was cold as ice. This is totally unexceptable. I paid good hard earned cash for this mess. If they can not run a take out service they should not offer it. I want a $62.00 refund.

In the GR notes the Christiansburg store refunded the guests money and sent them a dinner pass saying the guest will return. This was on 2/6.

Thank you

We arrived at Texas Roadhouse in *** at 5pm. We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes. At 6pm, we were told it would be another 15 minutes. People came in, was seated and left before we finally just left the restaurant at 6:15pm. I am extremely angry about this because they told us 2 times the wait would only be 15 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes later we still were not sat. The least they could have done was be honest with us about the wait time. This is now the 3rd time I have had a situation like this. I will never go back to Texas Roadhouse again.

Texas Roadhouse Response

We are very sorry that there was a delay in seating you during your recent visit. There can be a variety of reasons why a wait time is extended. For instance, if you are with a large party, we may be waiting on a previously sat party to complete their visit & conclude their visit so that we can sit your party in their spot. Or our host stand may have made a mistake and told you an improper time. If you ever experience this again, please ask to speak to a manager before you get frustrated beyond help. The sooner they know about an issue, the sooner they can help. They can often shed light on situations or correct an issue that you've brought to their attention.

Tonight my family and I went to Texas Roadhouse (***) around 6:30pm hoping to have a nice time and celebrate my fiance's birthday. Upon entering we were told there will be a 20 minute wait if we want a table for 10. We have 5 kids 5 adults. We had no problem with this. The woman who told us this also said we could get two tables that sit beside each other, instead, if we wanted. We preferred to all be at the same table and she told us it would be the same wait as well. So we told her we definitely wanted to be at the same table all together and we'll wait since it takes the same amount of time. We sat in the waiting area for 50 minutes instead of 20 minutes. Another party walked in with a group of 8 during this time. And a member of our party had to leave due to the unfortunate wait time. When we were finally called to our seats, we were being sat at the two tables that would have our family split up. Something we stated that we specifically did not want. Over half of our party was kids ages 6 and under, we could not be split up. There was another table in the same area that would allow us to all be together, as we REQUESTED, so we went there instead. When we got there a waitress came to our table and took our drink orders, but said we are in the wrong spot. We told her we specifically asked for a spot where we would be together and had almost waited an hour to get the spot. She left to inform another member of her team. The woman who took our request for the seats was now standing nearby waiting to seat her party of 8, and was staring at my family angrily. A second team member asked us if we would mind moving. We, again, politely told him we would not and why. He walked away, told the woman with the party of 8, and she then proceeded to walk their plates to the tables and slammed them down hard and loud while snarling at us. Then seated them while telling them they're sorry WE took their seats! I have never experienced such rude behavior in my life in a restaurant. We left before placing an order and went somewhere we felt valued. The supervisor (melissa?) was informed of her behavior by my fiance's father, but this did not stop the woman from stomping and rolling her eyes at my family while we were leaving. I am pretty sure none of us will come back to this location again.

Sent guest an email apology with a $40 pass included in the email. Sent to her *** email address.

Reference Guest Relations #***, complaint dated 08/27/17, where the incident occurred on 08/27/17, where the *** Maryland location on two separate times from 5:05pm thru 5:20pm hung up on me after putting me on hold twice for I was trying to place a large to-go order, using my $50 Texas Roadhouse Gift Card. I called back a third time and asked for the manager (woman named ***) who told me that the to-go order taker (***) was experiencing problems. I called 08/29/17 to inquire about the complaint not being answered and customer service (***) said that the market manager (***) closed my complaint saying it was answered and he NEVER contacted me. She was going to open/escalate the complaint again, but could not guarantee a response. Therefore, I am filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.
