Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I am rejecting Cabinet and Granite Depot's response as they haven't addressed the outstanding issues above and beyond the two damaged cabinet doors that have been an issue since completion of the project on October 13, The following is a list of the issues raised in the original complaint communications/responses and what has been done as of March 1, Light switches next to refrigerator - Can now only access kitchen and outside light switches with a spatula as the cabinets were improperly placed, or their measurements were inaccurateThey blamed the cabinet installer, who has since been firedI will have the electric moved to the outside wall, since that is more affordable than replacing a three year old refrigerator as Judy suggestedShe is no longer thereDishwasher opening - According to their installers, the dishwasher opening is inches rather than standard inches, with 1/inches of fillers, therefore the stove wouldn't fit in the remaining space between the dishwasher and outside wall Derrick and Aaron did shave down the granite on October 13, and pushed the stove in The stove is inches off the back wall with the gas line being an inch from the wall, creating a gap between the counter, stove and back wall The right side of the stove is flush against the outside wall, so the stove doors can't be opened when the door trim is installed At this point there is an unfinished wall where the door trim should beThis can be resolved by removing excess filler, resetting the dishwasher opening and cutting the granite to the correct sizeApparently this was the fault of the cabinet installer, who was fired, but doesn't solve my issueTwo damaged cabinet doors - They did replace them on December 23, but weren't the correct width, leaving a half inch gap when the doors were closedAfter many attempts to adjust them, the installer took them down, went out to his car and retrieved my original doors and rehung them Not only are the doors still damaged, but now they rock on the hinges and knock against each other when closedI have called Aaron times since December 23, and he has not been able to tell me when the replacement doors were ordered or when I can expect themI have since spoken with Customer Service at the cabinet manufacturer who tells me that the doors or a picture of the doors is all they need to replace them and that generally only takes a few weeks to resolveAccording to the cabinet manufacturer, there may be a reason to return damaged doors with the replacement doors, but it's not typically done As of March , I am still waiting for my doorsThreshold plate - This was removed when the tile floor was installed and never replaced, leaving an inch gap between the bottom of the door and floor where cold air and rain comes in The tile was extended past the subfloor onto the concrete outside, not only covering the holes where I could replace the threshold plate myself, but makes the tile vulnerable to cracking in freezing weatherI did replace the sweep on the door bottom, but they threw away the threshold plate and have still not replaced or installed a new oneCabinet and Granite Depot was hired to replace my kitchen cabinets, counter top and floorWhile I was told there could be minimal damage to my backsplash when the cabinets were removed, it was far from minimal, necessitating the tile be removed , wall scraped and tile replacedThis was done with the help of my nephews and myself, as it wasn't budgeted forThe only person I had to hire was a plumber as they don't do plumbingI did not hire any of their employees before, during or after the remodel as Aaron states in his responseI have receipts for the initial plumbing and hookups, as well as, the return plumbing bill to replace the plumbing damaged when the under mount sink fell out within weeks of installation Aaron has chosen to make statements about me, not return phone calls, be evasive, or blame others he did not hire, rather than fix the problems his employees are responsible for. Finally, I did not curse at Cabinet and Granite Depot employees, but did at Aaron after all the frustrations of trying to resolve these issuesHe states that they stand behind their work and will address my concerns, but has failed to do so since October 13, Firing employees may save the next job, but has not resolved problems that were created by them on my remodel

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This is completely inaccurateMy radius corners were changed the very next day after the measuring was doneI was told this wasnt an issue due to the fact the fabrication had not been completed yetThe fabrication isnt started until several day after the measuring is completedAlso, it would be impossible for someone to crack quartz countertops by over tightening screws for a wall outletQuartz is several times stronger than granite and would take 1000's of lb of torque to do thisThe installation tech told me the reason it cracked was due to the fact he improperly cut the hole for the wall outletIf this were my fault why would they being willing to fix something I created? I also didn't see my other issues addressesThe damaged to my wall, the scratches and blemishes in the counters, and the complete lack of communication and missed time framesThanks Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I am not accepting this as the entire deal was a cluster and has never been fixed to my satisfaction My last call to the manager did not even get a return call Regards, [redacted]

We spoke to [redacted] today and he will be coming into our office no later than 6-18- to get back on the schedule and review everything needed

We will be sending our cabinet crew out this week to address the customers concerns

Please see attached

The sink was not improperly installed, the sink concern has already been addressed

The customer came into the shop about a week or so after the cabinets were delivered and never mentioned anything about any cabinet defects, as we mentioned earlier if there were any manufacturer defects we would have gladly had them replaced; moreover, at the time of delivery of their cabinets they signed off and accepted the cabinetsWhen a customer purchases cabinets they are always informed to inspect the cabinets upon delivery so if there are any issues they can refuse the cabinetsThe layout would not have changed if the fillers were properly placed as shown in the drawing and the cabinet that on back order are not in stock therefore we are unable to provide an arrival time to the customerThe cabinets were very popular and they sold very quicklyWe will attach a copy of the customers delivery slip and layout of the kitchen with the fillers as discussed earlier

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Granite Depot has not addressed the issues of this complaint The owner and manager did call after we filed this complaint and scheduled a visit to look at the damage As stated in his response, they did get the soap dispenser installed by drilling the hole out larger leaving a small opening allowing water on the countertop to drip down into the cabinet. Two weeks prior to their visit they sent a person out to our house from a siding and window company to assess the damage to the wood door frame on one end and the cabinet at the other end We gave him a piece of door frame trim like the one that was damaged and he said he would try to find a piece that matched That was weeks ago and we have heard nothing since. The owner of Granite Depot did not seem concerned about the damage - said they were working on getting the trim, which he said could be found anywhere (not sure why it is taking so long then) and also stated that we should not be upset about the damage - it was to be expected with the installation of the granite He stated in his response to you that their "terms and conditions" indicate drywall or plaster damage could occur but it did not say anything about expensive wood trim and cabinets being damaged When we pointed out to him that if the person that came out to measure prior to the installation had looked, they would have realized that piece of granite would not fit between the wall at one end and the cabinet at the other and if the installers had measured they would have realized it as well The owner admitted that was true Therefore, the damage was avoidable had the job been done correctly. We will not close out this complaint until the damage is repaired as they have promised it would be[redacted]

In response to complaint ID # [redacted] The layout of the customers job did not allow the flow of the granite to be in the same direction without the purchasing of another slab or adding an additional seam due the slab size limitations ( a slab is only so wide/tall) therefore to keep the same direction additional square footage from another slab would have to be purchasedThe customer was price driven therefore purchasing another slab was not an optionAlso customer also reviewed and signed the terms and conditions that are very clear and will be attachedWe have had several conversations with the customers wife to find a helpful solution Addressing their concerns and adding an additional seam using additional granite was the only option We always try to keep the flow patterns consistent and seams to a minimum, within the layout and slab size allowancesThe customers were only charged for the square footage used to do their job which was square feet and the average slab is 55-square feet therefore we do pay attention to how the job is laid out in order to prevent wasted material, in this case a full slab would not even allow the customer to have the same direction no matter where it was cut from on the slab because their layout and size of the slab

The customer came in on 5/06/and made a deposit on granite in the amount of $1,on a piece of stone that had just arrived, at the time of purchased the customer stated they had an Island with a raised bar top and they wanted to lower it to countertop height, we advised her the bar top section would need to be removed to the countertop level to get accurate measurements with our laser templating machine (never to have the entire kitchen demoed) We measure several kitchens per week with existing countertopsMoreover the customer did not pay for anything in full prior to measure because she has not even been measured yet to know exact square footageThe customer had selected a stone that was priced at lower by a new employee, after contacting the customer to let them know about the mistake we offered a full refund (which we did and a copy of the receipt will be attached) without any credit card fees, the customer then began to yell at the new sales individual after they apologized and then demanded to the manager to honor the price of the exotic stone and was using excessive profanity on the phone (which we on a recorded line)It is very disappoint than an individual would write the Revdex.com with information slandering a companyWe would be more than happy to provide a copy of the phone conversation upon request

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I find Cabinet and Granite Depot's response disingenuous at bestFirst, while I would always arrange to be home when someone is in my house working, the fact is I work from home, so I was present for the purpose of work, not to insure or check the accuracy of their measurements That is the function of Cabinet and Granite Depot, not the client, and they are solely responsible for those measurementsCabinet and Granite Depot sent an employee to my home to do all measurements and take pictures of the space prior to a floor plan being drawn up and frequently took measurements as work progressed.Second, there were no issues, language or otherwise with floor installers, cabinet installer (the second installer left after unloading cabinets and returned when the last one was installed), and granite countertop installers, all provided by Cabinet and Granite Depot I did have issues with Judy, the sales person, when she questioned if I had purchased new appliances after measurements were taken and then suggested I purchase a smaller refrigerator, and in general was of no help getting the problems solvedShe is no longer there. The cabinet installer was made aware of the damaged finish on cabinet doors when they were installed on 10/1/He assured me they just need to be cleaned, but when he returned on 10/2/to finish the toe strip, cleaning hadn't fixed the finish and he said he would advise AaronAaron and Derrick, from Cabinet and Granite Depot, personally witnessed on 10/13/when they worked on the granite counter topAaron was to pick up the doors on 10/21, was a no show and no phone call to cancelI called again on 11/and he was to pick up on 11/When he hadn't shown up by 5:on 11/3, I called again and he said he would pick up on 11/at 7: They were finally picked up around by another employeeWhile I am grateful the doors were finally picked up, I would not say he responded as soon as he was made aware, and I am waiting for the replacements. The issue with the stove not fitting is due to the dishwasher opening being inches and not the standard inches, thus I lost the inch between the stove and wall that was previously there, making the stove doors unable to open when the door trim is put on Door trim was put back on after the tile was completed and removed to force the stove into the openingReplacing the identical 1/inch wall tile that was damaged in the demolition has no bearing on this issue, irregardless of who installed itIt's the same 1/inch tile on a scraped wallThe gas line behind the stove is an inch and a half from the back wall where it has been for yearsPrevious stoves, including the one purchased years ago have been 1/inches from the back wall, not inchesThe stove will not go back further due to the granite countertop being cut an inch larger to fit the inch dishwasher opening, rather than the standard inch openingHaving said that, even if the stove was able to be pushed further back, the doors still will not open when the door trim is installed because of the lost inch from the dishwasher measurement. The same measurement problem is an issue on the refrigerator wallThere was approximately inches between the refrigerator and wall where the light switches are locatedNow there is about 1/inch making the switches inaccessible unless using a knife or spatulaCabinet and Granite Depot suggested I move the electric to the outside of the wallAgain, they are solely responsible for the measurements and install, and should be responsible for any errors made Simply firing the cabinet installer may solve their issues going forward, but does nothing to resolve my issues.Cabinet and Granite Depot fails to address the threshold plate at the back door which was taken up when the ceramic tile floor was laid by them and not replaced, leaving an inch gap between the door and ceramic tile where cold air and rain comes inThat plate was taken by them with the kitchen demolitionAdditionally, tile is laid directly to the concrete on the outside of the door, leaving the tile vulnerable to cracking in cold weather. This is not the quality of work that is presented on their web page nor displayed in their showroom or communicated when plans were reviewed, signed off on and paid forIf they would prefer to have another contractor address these issues, I would be happy to get another estimate and they can pay for the work to be completedRegards

We have made separate trips out to the customers home to address any issues right away and have already completed the work, every job is very important to us big or small this why we made sure we corrected the issues stated with no questions askedAs we previously stated in last response our terms and conditions state for the customer to be on the job at the time of completion to review the completed work and to address any concerns, the customer was not there for the completions which is why we had to make separate trips to address the concerns

In response to the customers complaint, our company sent our tech out to evaluate the situation as soon as the customers concerns identified After reviewing the concerns we immediately sent out a crew to correct them, after the first crew went out we then received a call from the customer about the top ledge piece and the cabinet that the customer claimed we damaged, it was not verified that we damaged the cabinet however we fix the cabinet with no questions asked as well as installed the back rail on the ledge pieces as discussedThe ledge piece that was install is not able to be flush with the end of the cap because of the way it is polished and will leave a gap between the two piecesWe install to jobs a week and do our best to make sure we take care of any concerns promptly, in our terms and conditions it clearly stated that the customer must be there at the time of completion to review the job (which the customer reviewed and signed) and address any concerns they may have to avoid any time delays with problem areas, the customer failed to be there at the end of the initial job and each trip we made to the customers house

Revdex.com:The issues with the installation of the cabinets and granite has been completed to the best of the company’s ability I had purchased the cabinets and granite from the same company, with the assumption that it would be a more composed installation and final product The company’s customer service is poor at best – the final installation occurred on August 19th and has taken months to resolve Getting a response for correction took multiple emails, multiple phone calls, and then contacting the Revdex.com because of lack of response The initial installation of both the cabinets and granite was done with poor workmanship, which has resulted in a flawed final product Very happy with the actual granite and the cabinets, but installation capabilities are very lacking Regards, [redacted]

The customer reviewed initialed and signed the terms and conditions prior to any granite being fabricatedUnder the product specifications section on the first page it clearly states " changes cannot be made to these natural patterns and color variationsPURCHASER are aware that some of these features may become more or less noticeable when the position (verticle or horizontal) of the slab is changed, or when the lighting intensity is changedSeam(s) will exist depending on the size of the kitchen counter top, seams will be determined by many factors, such as grain direction, Actual slab size, layout of the kitchen counter topFinal placement will not be determined until production, our fabricators will use experience and best judgement to utilize the material." "Seams will be inconspicuous but NOT INVISIBLE and are detectable by touch." All which was reviewed and sign by the customer (copies were faxed in).We have no problem adding another seam to adjust the flow pattern however it will be additional material used which is why the customer was told they were to pay the $additional footage fee, we will add the seam piece for the customer they will need to sign off to the extra seam prior to fabrication

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This is complete crap They have not done anything to make it right or correct how it was to be done And since the last we had to move our last cabinet out ourselves because they made the opening for the stove too small and it would not fit My business partner had a pair of Oakley prescription sunglasses go missing when they were the only one's in the home If they needed me there they should have given me a better opening rather than "we are on our way" at 5pm on a day I am at work and cannot get away that easily I was there the first day the were installing and they completely ignored me and lied to me about what was going on I would not have known they were completely screwing up as I am not a professional granite installer and I leave that to the companies I pay to do there job This company did NOT do there job Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]
