I went to the store to see about getting my phone repaired. I was quoted a price but didn't want to put that much in an old phone. The manager,xxxxx, told me that they sold phones. He showed me a Samsung s7 xxxxx phone but the xxxxx service didn't work at my home or office. They got a xxxxx s7. I asked xxxxx if it was a new phone and he assured me that they only sold new phones. The phone stopped working and doing weird things after a week so they did a factory reset. It worked for about 4 more days when it started fading to black and wouldn't stay light. I took it back to the "experts" at The Phone Store 2 times but they had no idea how to fix it. The young man who works on Saturday finally admitted that the phones are refurbished. When I asked xxxxx again if it was a new phone and again I was assured that it was a new phone. I asked for a refund but they refused. I took the phone to a
xxxxx store and the told me that not only was it not a new phone but there had been 2 previous owners.
I did not pay for a refurbished phone I paid for a new phone. This was FRAUD plain and simple.

Mrs xxxxx was never told the phones were new, infact the phones are sold in generic boxes, which do not even have the carrier name on them. Futhermore she even stated in this complaint she was "offered an old phone but didnt want to put that much into an old phone:; Mrs xxxxx did return with the phone around 3-4 weeks post purchase stating it had issues. I personally looked at the phone and she had installed atleast 7 third party apps which most of which were Boosters, sweepers, antivirus apps which create havoc when installed in multiples on xxxxx software as such with this particular Galaxy S7. I personally cleaned her phone, reset it to factory and showed her for around 30 minutes the phone had returned to working 100 percent perfect. We normally charge 25$ for this restore but I let her have it for free, and educated her on preventing user issues with xxxxx phones. None the less, we give every customer a warranty policy at time of purchase that is very clear that we sale USED Phones, occasionally refurbished (which mostly means they have been checked top to bottom) that have been extensively tested in which there is no warranty offered. We advise customers to pursue insurance thru xxxxx. The issue with Mrs xxxxx phone is a user issue and not a technical issue. We have never, ever provided warranty on any phone other than it to function 100 percent at time of purchase, have a clean imei to activate by carrier. It has always been up to the buyer to pursue insurance coverage on purchased devices. Mrs xxxxx was informed of all the above, not only by the manager but also myself, the owner. She was very aware the devices are sold used and as is. There will be no refund issued at this time. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
