I sincerely apologize for your recent experience with LiftMaster Technical Support I see in your past interaction with us, you requested assistance with an ELTelephone Entry System, and we were able to assist you with this without issueThe ELunits involve mostly programming, some light troubleshooting and low voltage propertiesTroubleshooting your Elite Miracle One Gate operator, however, can potentially cause serious harm, or in some cases death, if handled improperlyWe at LiftMaster do not take this lightly which is why we only troubleshoot a gate operator with an authorized gate technician The symptoms you described were unfortunately not enough to diagnose why your gate operator would not open or close fully on a consistent basisIf you are still experiencing an issue, we would recommend contacting an Authorized local LiftMaster technician for further assistance

I sincerely apologize again but because the vehicle was knowingly not pulled completely into the garage, and was knowingly not breaking the safety sensor beam which would have reversed the door, we still would not be able to authorize payment for damages for these reasonsIf you should have further questions, definitely let me know

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was not advised by the garage door service repair, which is our agent and listed on your website, that he could replace the circuit board to fix the garage door opener He told me that your technical service people told him the circuit board was broken and that the entire unit had to be replaced.I had no access to the conversation between the service repair and your technical service and merely relied on the information that your service repair authorized dealer told me.On August 2nd, I telephone various time, hung up and redialed, not onceA repair service needs to pick up their calls, you cannot expect people to call and receive no response, write emails and be told that they will get a response within hours and then not respond because "you were busy." I apologize for not being able to reimburse you for part or all of the $charge you incurred The warranty states if, during the limited warranty period, this product appears to contain a defect covered by this limited warranty, call 1- [redacted] , toll free, before dismantling this productDefective parts will be repaired or replaced with new or factory-rebuilt parts at Seller's sole optionYou are responsible for any costs incurred in removing and/or reinstalling the product or any componentThe warranty goes on to say that labor charges for reinstalling a repaired or replaced unit is not coveredWe understand that you used an Authorized Technician that was listed on our website, however we do not own the business and have no control over how they conduct their businessI apologize if they advised the entire unit would need to be replacedAs I advised before, we did not advise them to do this and twice advised that only the logic board needed to be replacedI understand that you did not have a way to secure your door because the unit was not workingThis is why we do not recommend using the garage door opener as the sole way of securing a garage doorThe garage door opener's main purpose is to do the lifting of the door so you do not have to, the PosiLock feature is an added featureIf the unit is ever out of service, there should always be another way to secure the door, such as a key lock featureI apologize again for not being able to reimburse you for the charges you incurredIf you have any further questions, I am always happy to answer them

Hello John, I have looked into your case and have reviewed all contact you have had with usI was able to see the pictures that you have sent us as well, showing the top lid of the garage door opener bent from when the trolley ran into the rail's stop bolt, becoming jammedI do see that your garage door opener, HD420EV, does have a two year warranty and you stated you have had the unit for about two years You stated that we did not honor our two year warranty in regards to the travel module and that we suggested replacing the system for a whole new oneWhile it may have been a travel module issue to start, in this case, it's now something a bit largerNow the unit is bent and we do not recommend keeping the unit in the state that it is in, it could cause damage to other components further on down the road, or worse, safety issuesThis is why we suggested replacing the whole unit I see the agent that you spoke with stated she could not honor the warranty, her reasoning being that the unit was installed using old parts from the previous garage door openerI know that you did not install the unit, but the reason this raises concern is because there is no way to tell what kind of shape those old parts are in and again, this can raise safety concerns or cause unforeseen damage What I would like to do however is send you a whole new unit, this will include a new rail, new safety sensors, wiring, wall control, etcYou will want to remove all preexisting pieces and install everything that comes with the new unitAs had said, you did not install the previous unit, so you would not be aware that we do not recommend using the old parts for a new garage door opener I will be contacting you privately to set up the order for the new unit Regards, Randi Quality Assurance Lead

I sincerely apologize that the website has given you incorrect information regarding your need for a HomeLink BridgeYou are correct that the Bridge.Chamberlain.com website does state that your [redacted] will not need a Bridge, when it fact it doesWe are working on getting this corrected I have looked back at your contact with us and I see that while the website has given incorrect information regarding the Lexus, you also have a [redacted] Commander, which according to the website states that you will need a HomeLink Bridge for the HomeLink in the [redacted] to workBecause of the way the HomeLink Bridge works, you do not need a HomeLink Bridge for each vehicle, only one per home is required, no matter how many vehicles you haveSince your [redacted] would need one, there is no need to purchase one for the Lexus as wellI also see that back in you had already purchased a HomeLink Repeater, and if you still own this, there is no need to purchase another one Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, we are always happy to help as much as we canSincerely, [redacted] Quality Assurance Lead

Complaint: 11121079I am rejecting this response because the lights do not work as designed by the manufacturerThis has been validated and confirmed in person by Jaeger's lead installation technician numerous times.I have to now bypass the liftmaster lights and pay an electrician to install my own set of motion sensors to ensure the lights stay on in my garage when the door opens and while people walk within the garage.This is a safety issueSincerely, Jon ***

Revdex.com:Just to make clear, and with repeating part of my original complaint, the technician present is NOT Chamberlain products certifiedBut he is a skilled technician with more than two decades of experience.The dealers that you claim carry your products, are not trained on your productsWhen you call them, most of them pretend they know just to come out and charge you a fortune, or they claim hesitant to perform the work because they say they are not familiar with the model (really?)Others, want to force you to buy a different company productThey all want to come out to talk to you so they charge you, or they hang up.Last time I had one of them work here, he replaced the keypad board for dollars totaldollars of that was labor! He visited me after the job was done and he requested an additional dollars to 'just check if everything was working' and without preparing me of that unnecessary visit cost!!!
