To Whom It May Concern:When Pedro Salazar signed up with Platinum Tax Defenders, he told us that he had a $2,income monthly and had no assets This was a complete fabrication of his facts The reality is that he had an income in of $400K and $725K equity in a house
worth over $Million dollars When MrSalazar come to us, he already had a bank levy in place We released that levy and put him in an installment agreement and got him back his money (approximately $30K to date) In addition, MrSalazar lives in Puerto Rico and claims he doesn't get his mail He came back with another levy because he defaulted his installment agreement and we once again, released a levy and got the majority of his money back The offer he is in reference to was based on the lies he told us about his income and assets We were planning to go in that direction until our due diligence reflected the reality of his situation We have explained to MrSalazar on numerous occasions that he was not paying for an outcome, he was paying for resolution services and in addition, there is no way to make an offer work with the IRS under his circumstances The OIC program is for people who are experiencing a hardship, not someone in MrSalazar's position We had to resolve his case twice with the two levies and two installment agreements, not to mention the offer that was started until we found out how much money he made MrSalazar did a chargeback on his AMX card so I don't understand why he is asking the Revdex.com for his money back This man was verbally abusive to everyone on staff and since our work was completed, his case is closed I will not do another offer for him This has been communicated to Pedro in the email below This case is settled on all fronts.Email sent on November 20th, 2015P***,In March when the discussion of being put into a hardship program was a MENTION not a promise. I am not sure what your referring to having the IRS take your tax debt to zero, that does not happen. To date we have put you into payment plansgotten you 30K back from a bank levySubmitted a Offer and Compromise for 2k. It is not our fault that you do not get your mail that is sent to the Monrovia addressEverything we get from the IRS, you get a copy of sent thereThey are not going to mail your letters to Colombia, which is were you live. You call and yell and cuss at the entire staffYou have been talked to time and again regarding this matter. If you don't like what one person tells you, you think that you can try and bully another staff person into doing what you consider is the "right" thing for youI am hear to tell you that we have gone over and above our contract with your case. You have called your POA personal cell phone, filled it with voice mails as well as called everynightnight after nightYou have no respect for my staff at any level. You have 200K in a retirement account and with that alone the IRS would want to be paid in full. You have a tax debt of $31k for the tax year The payment plan that you have been placed on will allow you to pay that off in months.I hope the action that your referring to is paying this off in the most recent payment plan that has been set up for you.We have fulfilled our contract in full.Sincerely,S*** ***
Dear J***: I am sorry to hear that you feel this way You hired us to help you with an installment agreement and a penalty abatement For these services, you agreed to pay us $ You paid the first half as agreed upon and the second payment declined on different
occasions We charged you one late fee when we could have charged you times per your contract We have been communicating with you about your case and in fact, I have recorded calls to document that fact You called yesterday and we spoke to you at length and also informed you that your Power of Attorney would be calling you today You seemed fine with that Because of your delay in payments, it caused your case to be placed on hold and you understood that according to your numerous emails about how you appreciated us working with you and you understood that you case was on hold due to your non payment I have those emails as well See attached detailed activity report In regards to your case, Amy called you this morning as promised to explain your options Part of the delay in your case being settled, beyond your non payment issue, is the fact that you did not file your tax return timely We had to wait until the IRS posted your tax return before we could finalize your installment agreement We have kept our end of the contractual agreement and we do not feel you are due a refund If you would like to return our call, we are happy to discuss your final options so we can close your case.Sincerely,S*** ***
We have spoke to MrH*** regarding his concernsIn reviewing the recorded conversation with MrH***, there was no promise that any liens of garnishments would be reversed, only that we would attempt these actionsThe total fee that MrH*** has paid is $and in the spirit of good
customer relation we have agreed to refund him $MrH*** stated that he is satisfied with this arrangement. R*** ***
MrV*** secured our services for a resolution plan to address his IRS tax liabilityWe dutifully completed our contractual obligation and provided the client with a plan to have a large amount ofhis IRS penalties removed and then set up a reduced payment planThe client declined to take the
necessary steps to make this happen and instead disputed our fees with his credit card company, and indicated to them that we had done no work for himThis is in direct dispute to the documentation, recorded telephone calls, and the legal binding contract the client signedTo date we have secured $of our fee, that the client is asking for us to pay him $is unwarrantedWe take a risk when trusting a client to continue to pay our fee after we do the work for them, but it is a risk we are willing to take to help taxpayersThere is no refund due to this client, and the enrichment he is seeking is perplexing
I have the recorded call where he told us he was satisfied and the matter was closed. We provided the services that we were contracted to do. No refund. R*** ***
We never want a client to feel as thought we did not complete our contractual obligation, but the statements made by this client are fundamentally incorrect and falsePlease see the attached contract. Mrand MrsLawson hired our firm approximately one year ago (not two as they
stated) to complete an investigation into their tax liabilityThe total fee they paid for the investigation was $(not $4000.00)Though they did not hire us to negotiate or settle their liability, we went above and beyond what we were contracted forThrough our actions the tax amount owed was reduced by $We have records of several phone calls made to these clients which were ignoredAdditionally, it took them month to complete a simple form so we could review their financialsWe have advised the client the steps needed to release and/or reduce the garnishment, but it is apparent they are refusing to takes those stepsThere is no refund due to this client, and we are at a loss as to why they would be asking for this inflated amountWe welcome the client to contact us to discuss. Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:All documents and information was provided on time in advance of the April deadline for estimates of paymentPayments to the IRS was in excess of estimate provided by Air Azim and paid on timeI was personally told by S*** *** that my documents were lost/misplaced by a former employee A** *** that was subsequently fired Only this year, I was notified that they found my file so the matter of lost property is closed but the complaint that their responsible for 'late filing' remains open. The incompetence of Platinum Tax Defenders continues even today as I would expect them to know what information is provided by the IRS as official recordI was due a refund and I have proof from Platinum Tax Defenders and the IRS of this factThe IRS penalty is due to 'Late filing' not failure to payI continually remind them of this for which they refuse to recognizeI also have proof that Platinum Tax Defenders admitted to the IRS that they were responsible for the late filing and Platinum Tax Defenders ignores this as well.If Platinum Tax Defenders can successfully reverse or reimburse me of the penalty for 'Late Filing' completely, I would consider the matter closed

This is a duplicate. Client already submitted the same months ago:We tirelessly and have completed a tremendous amount of work for Mr***Thus far we have completed a full evaluation of his financials, a comprehensive tax analysis, prepared/submitted settlement offers, and engaged in
extended and frequent communication with the IRSOur mission is to explore any and all options for our clients, with that in mind we have submitted an appeal with the IRS in response to them denying a settlement offerWe keep detailed records of all successful communications with our client and the tax authorities and have replied timely to all inquiries and have provided the client necessary updates via their preferred method of communicationThe client owes a large sum of money to the IRS and the types of programs that we are attempting to secure have an extended processing time with the IRSWe understand the client's frustration and if they would like us to attempt a quicker (albeit less beneficial) resolution we would be happy to do so
Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I didn’t accept the explanation they gave I
had to accept it because I was told nothing else could or would be done because in their eyes they had fulfilled the contract The entire problem I had could not even be addressed because according to them the audio of what I was told to sign on with them by their call taker had been deleted My issue is that I feel like I was lied to in order to secure their services They hid behind the contract saying I had plenty of time to cancel and would have been refunded my money if I was not happy with the contract I called them after getting the contract and confirmed with them that they would, in fact, negotiate my balance down I was reassured that even though that was not in the contract that it was, in fact, part of the service I paid for While I do consider the matter closed since I’m obviously not able to get any kind of refund or fix the issue, I do not feel that the company upheld their end The call takers are employed by them What the call takers tell people should be honored and if it can’t be that is their responsibility to try and fix They were very courteous when I spoke with them and do feel that the issue is not necessarily with the people who performed the service but these call takers promising things that can’t be followed through with Those issues are not just an issue I’ve faced but seems to be the norm with people who have hired PTD The reviews on Yelp are the same problems over and over again If they don’t fix the issue by addressing it then how can things change? My issue is done and apparently can’t be fixed, but there are others out there who are going to want to retain services from this company and they should not be promised things that the company has no intention of following through with

To Whom It May Concern:Platinum contacted C*** M*** to explain the process of the CDP and to discuss the next steps in his case The taxpayer came to us with an intent to levy The CDP was filed to protect the client from collections and to ideally submit an offer in compromise
Our client has NOT been collected upon by the IRS since he has been with us His complaint was that we did not respond to him, however, our phone system shows only one call from him not answered on 6/but no message was left Unfortunately, we were closed on July 3rd We expressed our regrets to have missed his phone call which caused him concern We discussed our plans and he wants us to continue working on his case and agreed to retract his complaint on the Revdex.com MrM*** is not looking for a refund at this time.Sincerely,S*** ***Platinum Tax Defenders
Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I always disclosed my income to them back in March. I have never made $400K and yes, I do have a house with a mortgage balance of $730K. I am enclosing a letter from them where they are telling me that an Offer In Compromise was to be submitter for $which the IRS has not received but their latest position was for me to pay the full amount and agreed to the amount suggested by the IRS for $(again MrsM*** gave me this amount) . Furthermore, It was my action that allowed me to get some of the money back from the IRS when I spoke to them since I noticed that Platinum had not taken action to do so; in fact, they waited to last day to contact the IRS to request a levy removal. This levy was imposed because Platinum failed to communicate to me back in April they had submitted a letter with a payment plan for $(amount given to me by MrsM*** from the IRS on 10/28, thus the reason for the IRS to impose a second levy since neither the payment was made nor did they provide a direct deposit authorization to the IRS to withdraw the payment directly. I don't live in Puerto Rico but rather in Colombia, which I also disclosed to them back in March with the first levy was imposed by the IRSTo this date, I only received emails back in Sept for me to fill out some IRS forms to submit the Offer In Compromise. They did not do any work nor did they act with due diligence in this matter, thus my request to get the full fee amount refunded back to American Express

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:Therer response had nothing to do with this complaint, and I have seen other excuses and statements they have made about all the calls that they had made to me to keep me informed of what they were doing on my case Yes, I did hire them to do a job based on what there representative "Anthony Pavlov" assured me that Platinum Tax Defenders could do for meThe facts are the only times I heard from this company was, when I originally signed up, then maybe days later to fill out some additional paperwork, then I didn't hear again from them until weeks later when I talked with another one of there representatives at which time he told me that there was nothing they could do for me since I had equity in my house which is the first question I asked Anthony Pavlov before I signed up with this companyI assumed that he would have canceled my contract since there was nothing they could do for me, that would be the fair thing to doSince they pulled the hook and loop knowing that they would be able to do nothing for my tax issueI then did a charge back on my credit card after the second representative said they couldn't do anything for me After that I did receive a phone call from Anthony Pavlov upset and spouting off nothing but negative words and calling me namesAgain another of there unprofessional actions I would have been happy to pay them if they would have done what they said they could do, furthermore, for them to falsify logs and contacts with me is unbelievable but should have been expected from this company after reading all there negative reviews on line I can see they have gotten away with this for a long, long timeThere practice is not only unprofessional but unacceptable as a business ripping people off.Regards,

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: It has no resolution for the purpose contracted, which was to resolve the tax liability. Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I had provided ALL of the necessary documents and information in time for filingThis issue is 100% the fault of Platinum Tax Defenders for which they should be liable. Even if I am reimbursed, this does not resolve the matter of my tarnished record with the IRS that was caused by Platinum Tax Defenders.

We did work your case and we are sorry you feel this is not satisfactory. We are happy to pay the application fee for the offer in the amount of $that you made reference to if you want to do an offer but unfortunately, we cannot shorten the IRS time frame. Sincerely, R*** ***
C***:At no time did you come to us and ask for a refund or explain your dissatisfaction I have a call system that allows me to search by telephone number and the only time you called was on 6/but you didn't leave a message Then you claim you contacted us on July 3rd which we were closed for the July 4th holiday We called you first thing Monday morning when we returned to the office In addition, you claim that $7,is for a CDP hearing It is not (please see your contract) The $7,is for full blown resolution In your particular case, we are planning to submit an offer in compromise I listened to the call with A*** yesterday and you never stated that you were still unsatisfied In fact you stated that you wanted us to move forward with the offer documents which were sent to you yesterday in the mail I believe it is not representative and unfair for you to say one thing to us and claim something different to the Revdex.com What do you want us to do MrM***? Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I spoke to a rep for this company and explained that I understood no refund would be given, why they continuously focus on a refund is beyond me The resolution I want is for this business to make the effort to provide customers ACCURATE INFORMATION when trying to get them to use their services They haven’t addressed any issues and I find it funny that they claim to have a recording of one of our conversations yet miraculously don’t have the recording when I was told specific things by their call taker THE RESOLUTION I WANT IS FOR THIS COMPANY TO NO LONGER LIE TO PEOPLE TO GAIN THEIR BUSINESS THAT IS ALL

October 27th,
To Whom It May Concern:
MrJ*** hired Platinum Tax Defenders on September 16th,
2015. At that time, MrJ***
already had a levy in place. We prepared
all of his documents and sent him a financial organizer via email on 9/16. We faxed over all
the power of attorneys to
the various agencies on 9/and 9/19/15.
He called us on 9/21/wanting an update. We informed him that we needed his financial
organizer and that we would be contacting the IRS the coming week after they
recognize the power of attorney.
On 9/28, we called the IRS and they informed us that he did
not have any balances or tax returns owed for him personally. We communicated that information via email to
MrJ*** on that day and asked him to sign the Business Power of Attorney
and obtain the EIN to his company so we could check his business for
balances. We received his signed
Business POA’s back on 9/and called the IRS on the business. They
informed us of his business balances by year and indicated that he was in collections
and had a revenue officer assigned. We received
that information and called the Revenue Officer. We contacted the Revenue officer and left
urgent messages times between 9/and 10/including the Group Manager
regarding MrJ***’s case and the fact that the Revenue Officer was not
returning the calls. On 10/we
prepared the New Mexico Business Power of Attorney and spoke to the state on
10/13. We prepared the financials and
sent over to MrJ*** the information that was still needed for the
state.
On 10/16, MrJ*** called in and said he spoke to the
Revenue Officer about a payment plan and that he wanted a refund from us to pay
for it. At that time, we explained that
we have done a lot of work and he was not getting a full refund. In addition, it clearly states that there is
a minimum $charge that is nonrefundable in the event of a cancellation. We have contacted MrJ*** through every
step along the process via email or phone.
The statement that MrJ*** made regarding he called numerous times
with no communication is a flat out lie and I have the phone logs and emails to
prove it. On October 26th,
MrJ*** called in demanding his money and was told again that we needed
to do a billing analysis to see what if any refund was owed to him and we would
call him today, October 27th.
This morning, I received his complaint to the Revdex.com. At this time, we have incurred hours
dealing with his case on the state and federal side. We have incurred more hours than he has paid
at this point. I am happy to release him
from his contract but do not feel he is entitled to a refund.
Sincerely,
S*** ***mCEO
Platinum Tax Defenders
MrP*** hired Platinum Tax Defenders to prepare his taxes for We filed an extension for him and he was still providing us expenses to deduct after the deadline The penalty he received from the IRS had nothing to do with the late filing it was a failure to pay estimated tax
payments which is under his control We did not lose his records or files He picked them all up from our office There is no 'loss of property" as he states. We offered to do a penalty abatement as a courtesy and we are still awaiting that decision from the IRS He is not due a refund because we prepared and filed his tax return as we were hired to do If MrP*** would like us to stop working on the Penalty Abatement, please advise and we will withdraw and close his case This Penalty Abatement process is extra work that he did not pay us to do. Sincerely, S*** ***CEOPlatinum Tax Defenders
