The Ferraro Group Reviews (%countItem)

In December 2019, I contracted with the Ferraro Group to place an ad in the Modern Real Estate Group's folders. In January 2020, we finalized the art work for inclusion in the real estate folder, I was told the folder would be printed soon and I would be getting a copy of the folder. On February 24, 2020 I requested a status update and was informed the folders went to print February 14, 2020. I asked about getting a copy of the folder and was asked to provide an address of where to send the copy. I provided my address. It has now been 4 1/2 months since I was told the folder would be sent to me. I have called customer service many times since then. At first I was told that they had to shut down the offices because of COVID-19, and this caused a delay in sending me a copy of the folder. On June 22, 2020, I called and was told the folder would be shipped to me that day and was given the name of the point of contact at the real estate group. On July 6, 2020, I had still not received a copy of the folder and had not been successful in contacting the real estate group for confirmation that the folders had been received by them. I called the Ferraro Group customer service and spoke with one of their customer service reps, He told me he was unable to confirm that the folder had been sent and the person he needed to talk to about it was out of the office and would return within an hour. I was told that he would call me back within an hour with an answer. He did not call me back and since then I have been unable to reach anyone at customer service. Every time I call I leave a voice message with a request for them to call me back with the status of the folder.

I was contacted by the Ferraro Group about an opportunity to advertise in a Real Estate folder of a local real estate company. I decided to go ahead and place an ad in the folder. The folder was due to publish the beginning of 2020 and I was promised that a printed folder would be sent to me. For over four months the Ferraro Group has been promising me they would send me a copy. I have spoken with their customer service department many times and they keep promising me that the folder will be sent out immediately. My last contact with them was the morning of July 6, 2020. The customer service rep promised that he would find out what happened to my sample folder and call me back that afternoon. I have not heard from them since and every time I call I get sent to voicemail. I've left a message requesting a callback and have yet to hear back from them.

from The Ferraro Group emailed us regarding an advertising opportunity on homework folders for a school in our vicinity. A few months later, we learn that the folders did not actually get distributed. We tried to reach them by phone and email but got no reply. It seems they are certainly running a scam! The other companies they solicited from in Las Vegas have already also become aware of it! It is also quite sad that they are using a business name similar to a reputable local public relations firm that they are not affiliated with!

The Ferraro Group Response • Apr 03, 2020

The Business greatly regrets the complainant's experience. From the Business' own perspective in attempting to perform this service, it has printed the advertising publications twice. The Business has successfully delivered the publications to the school twice. The Business has two separate confirmations that the school received the publications that were to be circulated in their community. The Business believes that no one is disputing these facts. The Business refers to the "complainant" as a complainant, because this issue is not actually a "consumer" issue under the Revdex.com's own guidance. Rather, this was a business-to-business transaction. The complainant purchased a business advertising service. Even though this Complaint does not qualify under the Revdex.com's own guidance, the Business will do its best to respond. As with any customer, the Business greatly desires to resolve the concern of the complainant-customer.

The first delivery time, the school was dissatisfied with the publications. The Business reprinted the publications using the school's own pre-prepared artwork for the design of the homework folders. The Business' own graphic designers advised the school, at the time of the preparation of the second version, that the computer files they provided were likely to result in a publication that would not be visually pleasing, due to the quality of the pre-prepared artwork they submitted. The school demanded that the Business reprint using exactly what they submitted. As expected, the re-printed publications were visually unpleasing to the school, and they refused to distribute the second delivered version of the folders.

The Business is greatly distressed that it could not satisfy the expectations of the complainant or of its contracted school. However, it has been unable to resolve this issue with the school to date. Allegedly, the school discarded the entire lot of the second delivery of homework folders without notifying the Business, in a supervening act of one of its workers. We are currently in a holding pattern. As may not surprise you, essentially all of our staff has been furloughed during the current COVID-19 crisis. School sessions are canceled. While a supervening act of one worker may be controlling of where liability falls, the Business simply wants to do right by its customers.

The Business anticipates resolving this issue as soon as possible after the resolution of the COVID-19 crisis. After resolution of the issue, the Business will credit the complainant for any lost advertising time, or apply any reasonable amount of credit to another advertising venue contracted by the Business in the complainant's area that is equal to or greater in value than that which the complainant purchased, or the Business will otherwise resolve the matter satisfactorily with the complainant.

The Business is not opposed to re-opening of this complaint in the future if the Business is unable to satisfactorily meet the needs of the complainant. However, the Business is not currently equipped to resolve the complainant's concerns about distribution of a school-oriented publication in an environment in which schools are closed and the Business' own employees are furloughed. Since the contracts the Business has with both parties, the complainant and the school, contain no-cancellation clauses and force majeure clauses, we respectfully request that this complaint be closed as satisfied for the time being and that the parties address it at a reasonable time in the future.

The Business has no intention of shirking its duties to the complainant.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: they called me and promised to get back to me next day with an update/resolution and they did not. I have followed up since then and haven't heard back.

Sincerely

Alexis from The Ferraro Group emailed us regarding an advertising opportunity on homework folders for a school in our vicinity. Nobody has gotten back to us and we should be refunded.

I just received a voice mail from this company, stating that they were with Eagle Hills Elementary in Eagle, ID and they had a project and that he was interested in my services.
My first instinct before calling back was to get on the Eagle Hills Elementary website and sure enough, there was not a "Rob" on their staff. So when I typed in the number that he left this company came up.
What a deceitful way of trying to drum up business. Never, ever would I encourage anyone to trust this company!

I ordered an advertisement through this group to be placed on folders in December 2019 and I believe that they were never actually sent to the real estate company that they told me it was going to. I requested a copy of my advertisement and they still haven't sent me it. I then went and did some research and saw on the Revdex.com website that it was a scam. I just want to get my money back or have the folders delivered.

The Ferraro Group Response • Mar 06, 2020

In accordance with the complainant's conversation with the Business, the transaction will be refunded. The Business will mail a refund check to the address listed in this Complaint. Although the advertising publications were timely produced, an error caused the complainant's advertisement to be left off the publication. Please note that the Business refers to the complainant as a "complainant," rather than the Revdex.com's nomenclature of consumer, because this was not a consumer transaction. Rather, as the Complaint implies, it was a business-to-business transaction for the purchase of advertising service for the complainant's business. The Business apologizes to the complainant for the error and wishes the complainant great success in future endeavors.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am not going to close this case till I have my money back. I have my suspicions that I may never receive the supposed check, therefore I want to keep this complaint open till the matter is completely closed. Which I define completely closed as having the amount of $295 in my hands.

Sincerely

They call and literally present themselves as a local entity looking for the services that you or your business may be offering. In my case they presented themselves AS Circle View Elementary School who was wishing to refer parents to my services. They at no time indicated they were in truth the Ferraro Group.
It is pretty horrendous actually.to lie so blatantly to get a call back at which time they pitch their sales for advertising. Their outright lie indicates that no one under any circumstances should trust them with even $1 for any services they may have as they aren't honest nor trustworthy.
The call center from which these calls comes is located in Colorado.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with The Ferraro Group. I purchased 3 ads from them that was to be printed in local school folders. I have requested a copy of the folder numerous times and have yet to receive anything (over a year). After calling many times to get my copy they admitted they never printed 2 of the 3 ads I purchased and would refund my money. I had to call 5 times to get my refund and I now have a tracking number for the check that was mailed to me; however, I am still patiently waiting that refund. We'll see if I get it. Every time I have called they have seemed clueless to my request so I usually wait on hold for 5+ minutes waiting for them to figure out what is going on.

The Business apologizes for this experience. You're right! It was a bad one. We do our best with every customer, but we sometimes fail, just like everyone. We gave the refund to make sure we did right in this situation, since we weren't able to give the service, due to issues outside our control. We hope you have better experiences in your future efforts to grow and market your business. Just as much, we hope that we learned from the experience, so that we can provide a better experience to our future customers. Thank you for helping us learn, and we apologize again!
