Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The story did not quite go that way I called less than 24hrs after placing the order to cancel my orderI was told from India (where the call center is) that they would e-mail the manufacturer to "HOLD" the order I wanted the order canceled! Due to the vendors outsourcing and lack of communication skills I am paying the price for something I do NOt want!! and the manufacturer didnt get the email in timeI have spoken to the manufacturer and they told me that Decorprice should have called them instead of emailing since they do not check their emails.Also the mirror add on was after the fact since due to lack of Decorprice communication the vanity had been shipped and they tried to add on the mirror to my orderand YES I did decline the add on as it was costing me $more than it should Regards, [redacted]

We are working actively with the customer and are replacing the fixture for the customerwe will speak to the customer directly again and make sure he is satisfied with the replacement

Hello Sir,Customer initially placed order online for Vanity onlyOur website offers the option of purchasing mirror along with vanity but customer selected NO for the Mirror optionLater customer called again and said she wants to have mirror as well with the vanityWe politely informed the customer that we would check with the manufacturer and let her know the cost of shipping mirror separatelyWe called manufacturer and asked if mirror can be shipped with the vanity to which they replied the order for vanity had been sent for shipping and hence mirror cannot go with it, it has to be shipped separately which would cost $This is because mirrors ship common carrier to avoid shipping damageWe informed the same to the customer and she asked to cancel the orderWhen we called manufacturer they said vanity already shipped and there will be 20% restocking fees if the order gets cancelledSame thing communicated to the customer and she refused to pay charges for shipping the mirror and declining to pay the restocking fee as wellPlease let us know if you need any more information.Regards,MaxManager - Decorprice.com

As stated in our response, we tried the best we could to accomadate the customerHowever the manufacturer does not ship out mirrors separately from the cabinetsthey made an exception for the customer but obviously there is a charge to itwe understand customer's frustation but shipping mirrors by itself is expensive in the ecommerce world

I am rejecting this response because: The issue that I am having is that I purchased an item on the *** webpage at the advertised price
($637.56). The order was filled and my card was held for that amount. Subsequently the charge was released and the order unfilled. When I spoke to (Max) the representative from the Company (DécorPrice) who fills the orders for ***, he stated that it must have been a mistake by their Pricing Department and accepted no accountability for the misrepresentation. The *** price was later increased from ($637.56) to ($998) on the webpage, but when I spoke to the Décor representative, he offered me the product for $1350. In both situations above, DécorPrice failed to deliver the goods at the price offered on the webpage. In this circumstance I feel that Décorprice has violated “Bait and Switch” Advertising laws. This fraudulent business practice harms consumers because it offers (baits) a product at a lower price and then when the consumer attempts to purchase, the initial price is countered with a much higher price (switch) Consumer laws consider this practice fraudulent because the distributor never intended to sell the product at the advertised price which was further evidenced by the representatives verbal offer of $1350.00

I am rejecting this response because: My request was NOT accommodated as I wanted the order cancelled on Sept 1, @ 9am MT (order was initially placed Aug 31, @ 7pm MT) Instead the vendor FAILED to fulfill my cancel request and then after the fact tried to ship the mirror separate from the vanity which obviously costed WAYY more than as a package deali just wanted the order CANCELED!!!! All this would have been avoided if the vendor would have simply cancelled my order when I called to cancel it

I am rejecting this response because:As I mentioned in my complaint that when I ordered they indicated that items will shipped by March 12th but even the partial items that they sent were delayed by 3 to 4 days. But I'm giving them one more chance to provide me a definitive date of  shipment of the back ordered items then I'm willing to receive them.. But  If they can't provide me a definitive date , they need to cancel the whole order including the items they already shipped at no charge as they failed.  I can't use the partial order as these items need to be installed all together in an area. Please let me know if they can send the back ordered items by a definitive date or cancel the whole order at no charge and also provide me the return label to ship back the items that I received and they issue full refund of the money.

This is because mirrors ship common carrier to avoid shipping damage. We informed the same to the customer and she asked to cancel the order. When we called manufacturer they said vanity already shipped and there will be 20% restocking fees if the order gets cancelled. Same thing communicated to the customer and she refused to pay charges for shipping the mirror and declining to pay the restocking fee as well.
