Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This work was done through Town Court HOA [redacted] did promise to change the pickets I had offered to pay his labor costs The men never showed up when they promised He did do the wrought iron fence work because he overcharged me by not measuring the fence and estimating it The fence is still not correct It has only screws per picket and they are too short The workmanship is terrible Up off the ground so animals can get under it, moves when a tree behind it moves, and pickets are loose He is not telling the truth Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that the business has made these promises to come out in the past and has not followed through I understand that the business sent this reply on 7-saying that they would send someone out to resolve the issueAs of 7-no one has contacted me or come out to the house Regards, [redacted]

He items listed were the items agreed upon by your husband Tom who signed the contract with myself and [redacted] when we did the walk thruI called twice last week and have gotten no response that my crew will be there today to address the times we agreed upon We've built fences for over years and out screw per runner since day on and have had no issuesRough cedar is the correctly installed as the side of the pickets to face the smooth sideI'm a little confused of how your didn't attend the meeting but are the one adding items to be addressedWe responded all issues, came to an agreement but now the person not involved in the contract nor the follow up meeting is demanding more work to be done that's outside the reasonable scope of work

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is only partially true It is not quality workmanship, workers do not speak any English and have limited carpenter ability The screws used are too short to go through the "extra thick" wood into the frame They are of poor quality and break if backed out or the wind blows the fence I still have areas where the pickets are not attached to the frame Not reaching the ground because of possible damage to the wood is a good think Hanging in the air many inches above are not It leads to animals coming under the fence And the statement that implys that the rough/unfinished side of the picket is the GOOD side is not true Any homeowner who has to, or wants to, seal the fence knows the extreme difficulty in putting sealer on unfinished wood, whereas sealing the sanded wood is easier and much more appealing to the eye [redacted] has always treated all of us here at Towne Court with disdain I am on the Board and can verify that he did not return calls, did not have a supervisor check his off the street workers, and had to come back several times to rectify trash left by his workers, repair areas where the fences blew down and where the pickets popped off because of the wood swelling and the screws were too short and brittle.I watched some of the work being done, unfortunately for me not my own fence, and was amazed at how the work was done Absolutely no care was taken by Mr [redacted] to provide his workers with the proper tools to do their jobs Also he had a limited number of workers (to maybe or 4) to do the entire fence They appear to be overworked and are not supervised at all He did not show up, to my knowledge, on the property while the work was in progress Regards, [redacted]

I emailed [redacted] to setup a meeting on Tuesday 4/29/with myself and [redacted] ***We meet with [redacted] that afternoon and agreed to address the followingRealign the gate hinges on both front gatesreplace the corner post in the front right side that's in the neighbors yardreplace 10-pickets that were cut to maintain a level fence over some greenery on the ground, some pickets on rear gate were milled a little short that can be replacedadd inside gate handles so both sides have handles at no costall other issues we discussed and explained and agreed upon to leave as isThese are the issues that we've agreed to address and [redacted] made clear that he would pay the balance owed once these items were taken care of[redacted] ***Owner

This is not a direct customer of Pflugerville Pfence CompanyThe rear fence was replaced for the HOA where this lady livesI've covered and explained the measurements with the HOA president in the presence of this lady and performed over $worth of wrought iron work for her as she didn't have a gate to directly access her back yardThis work was done absolutely FREE! NO Charge to anyoneHer opinion of the finished side of the picket is entirely different than any one in the fence industryThe length of screws used is the proper size for this fence and there's no workmanship issues as I've observed this fence at least times since installation in personWe have never had a written contract with her to perform any more workWe have never agreed to changed any more pickets, swap picket sides or any other serviceThis job is complete and no further work is needed from our company

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Neither my husband nor myself have any record (email, missed calls, texts, email) where [redacted] has tried to contact usWe have our records and are willing to provide Regards, [redacted]

I've visited the property and spoken to Mr [redacted] about the concernsThe post was left in the rear area because the postmaster posts contracted can't be properly attached to the existing rear fenceI offered to add the post master near the existing post and we've agreed that is satisfactoryThere are pieces of 2xnear the house that shouldn't have been installed the way they are and will be replaced with a full 2xwhen we add the post in the rearI've committed to get this done next week (weekending 8/13/16)

This is the first that I've heard of there being any issue with this fenceFirst, I need to see a copy of the invoice as prof our company installed itI don't use that invoicing system any longer as I changed in fall of 2014.I would also need to see this project after we verify if was done by us to see what's the problem since its almost been yearsIf there's evidence of poor construction, we will do what's right and take care of the customer.I need the invoice copy and the inspection to be done within days 5/13/

Please provide the written signed contract for the work you say we "agreed to". I'm sorry but this is being lumped into one issue but it's not.our work was completed with top notch workmanship, quality materials and screws (7/8" thick cedar pickets, exterior coated screws)The small space on the bottom is to keep the pickets from rotting and should never be placed on the groundThe pickets are rough on one side, which is the finished side facing inNothing misleading with one screw per rail as seen in our Facebook page and website or any other public showing. as far as the $of wrought iron work, it was done as a courtesy for you as an unhappy customer at the immediate time following the install due to you complaining about the direction the pickets and measurement. as of now, this job is complete and there are no open invoices or written contract with this customer

I will have a member of the team this week to take care of this

He items listed were the items agreed upon by your husband Tom who signed the contract with myself and [redacted] when we did the walk thru. I called twice last week and have gotten no response that my crew will be there today to address the times we agreed upon.  We've built fences for over 10 years and out 1 screw per runner since day on and have had no issues. Rough cedar is the correctly installed as the side of the pickets to face the smooth side. I'm a little confused of how your didn't attend the meeting but are the one adding items to be addressed. We responded all issues, came to an agreement but now the person not involved in the contract nor the follow up meeting is demanding more work to be done that's outside the reasonable scope of work

Our week runs thru Saturday so we still have a day and half to get this taken care of

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: 1) the agreed rework items have not been scheduled/completed and 2)  the remaining punch list items of quality of pickets and single screw per picket/rail have not been addressed. Below is my email response to [redacted] on April 28th.  The pickets are S1S (smooth one side which is below industry standard of S2S).  We requested the finished/non-rail side facing into our yard.  Instead, the pickets are S1S AND the smooth side is on the rail side of the fence (facing out and leaving us with the rough side facing into the yard).  Also, the bid was short by half the screws. We simply ask for quality work and materials.  We are willing to discuss rework to flip the pickets with added screws and discounts for picket quality and missing screws.  Simply stating this is "how it is" is and having the smooth side of the picket facing into the yard is "preference" is not sufficient to resolve this complaint.  We made an effort to address these items while the crew was onsite.  We were unable to discuss with the labor crew since they were unable to speak English.  We called the owner the day of the job to discuss the issues and avoid re-work. [redacted] did not return our call.
