The Kia Depot Reviews (24)

Review: 1) Purchased used vehicle on 6/03/2014: 2008 Mazda 3

2) ‘Due bill’ disclosure at closing stated that Kia Depot owed me for repair of the number 3 engine mount that was failed, and for the six-disc CD changer that was not functional

3) Kia Depot had illegally sold me a vehicle that was not smog checked and therefore could not be titled or registered. It was necessary that I have the smog inspection done at direction of Finance Manager [redacted] who committed to reimburse me for the required smog check. (I did subsequently receive registration and title)

4) On 6 October 2014, I sent a letter to [redacted] (Finance Manager) outlining the "due bill" repair costs including the required smog check with all receipts in the amount of $536.09.

5) I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 10/15/14 at 3:10p: he advised that he didn't have authorization to write a check but the general manager would be returning on 10/17/14 at which time they would dispatch a check for the required repairs and smog check.

6) I have never received a check and my phone messages and mail requests are not responded to.Desired Settlement: Issuance of a check in the amount of $536.09 for "due bill" repairs and required smog check.

Review: I ordered a part from the Kia Depot on 11/16/2015 through their website. The part cost $60.45 and shipping was $15.86. The website required that I enter my zip code to determine the shipping cost. When they went to ship me the part the actual cost of shipping for them is over $100. They want to make me pay the difference or refund my money. I ordered this part 3 weeks ago. I needed it for an event I have in the next 2 weeks. The should have honored their price, absorbed the cost, and sent me the product I ordered. To me this is false advertising.Desired Settlement: I want the part delivered for the price I paid.

Upon receiving the order through our online catalog, we

began the order for Mr. [redacted].

Unfortunately, the freight calculations were not correct for this

particular part. Instead of $15.86 that

we stated the charges would be online, true freight was over $100.00. When we learned of this situation, we decided

to take care of Mr. [redacted] for the price our online catalog showed. However, due to a miscommunication, an

attempt to collect the additional freight was made. This caused significant delays. Upon receiving this complaint through the

Revdex.com, immediate contact was made to Mr. [redacted]. At that point, Ms. [redacted] stated that he had

found the part elsewhere and would no longer need our product. We immediately gave Mr. [redacted] his funds back

and cancelled his order. In follow up to

this complaint, we have gone through each part we have available online and

verified what the freight costs are and have fixed any discrepancies that were

found. We apologize for the unfortunate

event but are thankful that Mr. [redacted] alerted us to this error.

Review: Purchased my vehicle from the kia depot on Jan 6th. Along with the vehicle I purchased gap insurance from the dealer for $350. A week and a half later I refinanced my vehicle. On Jan 25th I canceled my gap insurance still within the 30 days for a full refund.

Today march 18th I still do not have my license plates or refund check. I have gone back and forth with the dealership with no returned calls. Finally started speaking to the GM who said he would call me back regarding my problems. Two and a half weeks later I had to call him and hassle him once again to find out what's going on. Said he would call me right back once again. An hour later he calls me back and tells me that I have to return to the dealership to have the VIN verified so the paper work can get pushed through for the DMV. Something that should have been handled before driving the car off the lot. As for the refund check they now want proof of payoff of original lender before issuing me a check. Once again don't know why it took about 8 weeks to figure that out. GM said for my troubles he would give me a $25 gift card for gas which will get me about under half a tank. I also live a good half hour away from the dealership also. I have also contacted Kia's corporate office and have filed a complaint.Desired Settlement: There's really not much they can do for me. I'd like a new paint job on the front bumper but I know that's out of the question. $25 gas card really isn't much kind of insulting actually for having to deal with them the last 3 months.

I'd like for the GM to step it up as well as his employees so this doesn't happen to anyone else. If I wasn't following up who would have known that all this was needed to get done to solve my issues.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. The business performed all actions as stated and I consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: Their [redacted] does not work any more it just rings off the hook and eventually hangs up. They have not shipped my order, I have submitted my VIN twice for this order, I have sent multiple messages to them on their site with no reply. I ordered two sun visors and two clips for my 2000 kia sportage VIN # [redacted]. They took payment on Jan. 6th, 2015 of $133.67. I found another number [redacted] and talked to [redacted] in the parts department. He said he did not work in the online department and would look into it and call me back. I want the parts shipped to me or a refund. Its been a few weeks now and when you click on some of their partner links, like "the depot" or " Megapdc on the front page of the site, the computer reports "untrusted site".Desired Settlement: I would like them to contact me and either refund my money or send me the parts that I paid for.

Response:

On 1-4-2015 the Customer placed her order. Upon receiving the order, it was noticed that the customer did not note a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). At that point, we attempted to contact the customer via the website with no response from her. The parts were not placed on order with the Manufacturer due to lack of information from the customer. Once we spoke directly to the customer, we received the VIN and immediately ordered the parts she needed. Since the complaint, we have spoken directly to Samantha and have corrected the issue. For customer good will, we will be sending the parts to her overnight at no charge. [redacted] will be removing the complaint upon receipt of her order.
