Review: We had laundry picked up at our hotel on thurs 7/**, promised 24 hr return. Have left numerous phone messages and e-mails. No one has returned our calls. It is now saturday, 7/** and we are leaving ny. No sign of clothes, but they billed our card w/in 24 hrs and their automated email to us said order was complete. Very unprofessional, clearly not a 24x7 service they advertise. Also

went by there address, was not a laundry business, was what appeared to be an apt with locked doors. We are now without our clothes. All appears to be a sham. Do not use them.Desired Settlement: We want our clothes now shipped to our home in nc.

Review: After searching and calling to other services I talked to [redacted] of Wash the Bed Bugs / The Laundry Center, and decided to use their services. [redacted] reassured me I would be treated as family as they started the bed bug cleaning business because a relative of his had bed bugs. I scheduled the picked up for three days later, I separated my washable from my dry cleaning clothes and labeled everything. As I was getting ready for a bed bug treatment I had to send ALL my clothes, bedding, towels, couch covers.... basically anything made of fabric. I make a living as a costume designer so I do know extensively on how to treat clothes. The service claims to return your items on the next 24/48 hours and can even keep the laundry for up to two weeks so the bed bugs treatment can be finished, so I was totally under the impression that [redacted] was running a serious business I could trust.

WHAT HAPPENED:

They processed the order 5 days after pick-up,

Finally, the clothes came back more than 2 weeks and a half later, so

I had to purchase items to wear/sleep on.

They have lost / destroy numerous items including a wool family heirloom rug causing stains among many other sentimental items

They charged $928.53 with an 8% Gratuity Included ($68.78) which is not disclosed

Paying for an extra $1 for bed bugs treatment felt like extra care was being taken.

More than a month and a half is past and I've sent numerous emails and called repeatedly to no avail.

Matter is still standing although I've promised many times they want to work to resolve, that they would recover my lost items ... Anything to just delay the matter and not resolve anything.Desired Settlement: I think business has the responsibility to really try locate and, if found, deliver the lost items.

I think business has the responsibility to reimburse me for damaged items, lost items and items I had to purchase due to the delay on delivering my clothes.

I think business has the responsibility to make a discount on the total bill

Review: They picked up 2 comforters, curtains, blankets for cleaning. They failed to return one of the comforters and have not kept in touch with me in this regard. They did not deliver the items all at once, but did deliver all but this comforter. The owner questioned me about the comforter and said he would look for it. The comforter has been missing for several weeks. I have called the owner and left messages but have not heard back from him.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $100 towards the cost of a new comforter.

Review: The business failed to notify me of the fact they lost my laundry. I contacted them many times only to be told that it was going to be delivered the next day. After 5 phone calls and still no laundry they then tell me that the cleaner that they use went out of business and was demanding all payments from The Laundry Center before they would return their clothing. None the less this issue has been going on now for 2 weeks. The clothing was to be returned on 3/**/14. They wasted no time in charging my credit card $54.54. The items lost are 4 custom oxford shirts ($200) 1 custom pair of suit pants ($500) and 1 down comforter ($250). In all I am out over $1000.Desired Settlement: Refund me for the lost clothing and worthless service. Desired $1000.

This business has discontinued any and all communication with me on this matter. I have seeked assistance from the DCA and Courts to pursue this matter and come to a resolution. I would highly discourage anyone from using this service as it is non-professional and they do not hold true to their business promises.

Review: The Laundry Center picked up my laundry, which was around 35 lbs. I had around $1500 worth of clothes to be washed. The clothes were returned to me the next day, and 3/4 of my clothes were missing, and were replaced by white t shirts, scrubs and socks, none of which were mine. I have been given no explanation, and I have not had my products returned, or offered replacements. I paid $45 for the service. I would like a refund.Desired Settlement: I want $2000 to replace my lost clothing. I want this to include money for the inconvenience, of having to go shopping to buy all new clothes, along with the travel and shipping costs. I want a refund of $45 for the cleaning service.

Review: I ordered a laundry pickup from The Laundry Center May [redacted] with a guarantee of next day delivery. I received two emails, one at 2:49 AM and one at 2:52 AM, saying my laundry was ready, but they each listed a different amount due. The first said $29.16 and the other said $43.09. The next day, they delivered laundry that was not ours. So, they came and picked it up again. The day after that, they delivered the same wrong laundry again. On that day, May [redacted], they also charged my debit card for $43.09, despite the fact we still did not have our clothes and I believe the $29.16 from the first email is the correct amount. Today is May [redacted] and I still do not have my laundry. My boyfriend and I have had to buy emergency clothes as well because all of our work clothes were in the laundry. I have left an unanswered message on their answering machine and have written several unanswered emails.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the $43.09 I was charged and would like compensation for the $127.17 we had to spend to buy extra clothing. If the laundry is never returned, I would also like the money to replace them. I have estimated the value of the clothing to be $2800.

Review: This company washed and dried my dry clean only clothing. They shrunk my silk shirts and sweaters, and left clothing that was not completely ruined in a wrinkled mess so I have to pay for another dry cleaning service. I made customer service and [redacted] aware of this mishap, and wrote multiple emails back and forth with [redacted], who refused to refund me for my ruined clothing. The service was not delivered as promised, and this service resulted in additional damage that far exceeds the cost of the service. There was a complete lack of responsibility taken for the negligence.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to take responsibility for this error and refund me for my ruined clothing. I would also like for this business to not be able to get away with poor customer treatment like this.
