I am rejecting this response because: If the technician is as good as they say then he would not have spent so much time standing back, looking at it, trying to figure out what was wrong on this fairly new system that they installed just a couple of years ago, WHICH should be under warranty, and he would not NEED to call another technician and explain the situation and ask what he should do He did this 3, not 1, not but THREE times He may be good at fixing other types of heating systems but the one in our house he had absolutely no clue what he was doing My husband was with him watching and listening the entire time he was there This is not acceptable for someone who "knows what he is doing"

We will not give a refund due to a person having mid communication with a family memeber. Our records show that the home owner called he morning of for a service due to unit being broke. She called to cancel the appointment afte we were already there and fixed her system. The daughter of the house...

let the tech in and paid for the call and now they want their money back. We do not go to random houses break in to fix their furnace and have a random person pay us when we are done. That is just ridiculous .

We have removed Ms. [redacted] from the collection agency on 12/27/16 after receiving her payment.

I am rejecting this response because:  That is probably a good policy to have, over $300 call for a second opinion.... Well, the 1st call was for the pump, $250 (not quite $300), the 2nd call was for the auto refill valve $140 (still not $300), and the 3rd call..  replaced the thermostat again for $115 (nope not $300).  I maintain that this guy was not familiar with our heating system and replaced parts that did not need to be replaced.  I feel that you are taking advantage of our age and trying to overcharge us for parts and repairs we did not need.

In my experience it's a good thing for a technician to call his co-workers for a second opinion before telling a customer its going to be a repair that is more then $300.00. That is company policy.

The whole behind the thermostat is obviously your house. Our 1st call was from you attempting to install your own thermostat. We provided a service and came out the same day every time you called while it was 10* out side. Our licensed technician does this everyday and felt it needed a pump. He's never had a complaint in over 10 years. In the end were the experts in the industry and provided a service and in the end you have heat on a older system with out having to replace it. The bill is accurate and being turned into collections.

Please keep this on record that I paid Dor Mar because they reported me to a credit agancy . I paid it so I wouldnt get bad credit even though I didnt want to because they should'nt have charged me. my complaint number is [redacted] Thank You

You did a stop payment on your credit card, and they issued you a different amount most likely due to a fee on doing a stop payment. I'm not your bank!!! You call us stating your suing the 1st HVAC contractor should of been a eye opener for us.  Maybe you should stop and think "is it me, or the...

contractors"????? Your un-happy with us when all we did is offer a 1 year service package which you decided not to keep. I don't see how Dor-Mar provided a bad service when we didn't make you stay in the contract of only $139.00 for maintenance package, and again you didn't get the full amount back because the bank charged you a fee for the stop payment. When all you had to do was call us and we would of gave you the money back. So file a complaint with the bank or someone who is the patience to deal with a person like your self. I'm sorry if this is harsh but we now have a complaint over something you did to your self. The gun statement is ludicrous. We've been in business for over 50 years and the two guys that were at your home have been with the company combines for over 30 years, and are well like among our 50,000 customers.

7.2.15 Revdex.com received a phone call from consumer stating on 7.1.15 he received $140.00  from company.

This complaint truly bothers me. I understand the technician making a mistake on the breaker tripping and going straight for the compressor. That normally is the problem 19 out 20 times, and I would of gave a full refund for this call plus a free trip in the future. What bothers me is why this...

wasn't addressed to my service manager Thomas M[redacted]. You haven't received a call back because I'm not always in the office and I pay people to handle this type of issue for me. So these are internal mistakes that should of never affected you the customer. This customer will be receiving a full refund check by USPS in the mail, and will have a credit in our system for their next call to be free of charge if they choose to use us again. They have used us previously and was provided good service and would like to  continue to show them we provide good service. They were unfortunately a product of 1 employee not looking into their problem the way it should of been addressed.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.  Dor Mar is still at fault on this issue. But, since they are now offering a refund ( this was not offered before this complaint) of the original service $150.00-I will accept it.

I am rejecting this response because: the business failed to address the root cause of the service call. Rather, implying their way was better than what the home inspector specified must be done and exaclty what was specified by the homeowner to the technician to pass inspection. As evidenced by the reply the contractor still feels they did the job their way, not as requested. Bear in mind, the equipment was working properly as it was since 1991 when first installed without issue, nothing was broken all that was requested was a change in gas line piping to comply with the inspectors report.

I've responded to this man already. There is no such term "free estimates on service diagnostics" There is only free estimates on a $ to replace his system with new. There is no company out there that provides estimates to figure out what is wrong with a system. In all fields of contract work that...

is considered a "SERVICE CALL" , OR DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE. You can not take your car to a repair shop and they tell you why the car doesn't work for free. We are not different. If the customer would have handled this politely we would of discounted the service charge to something cheaper.

I CALLED DOR-MAR OFFICE AND ASKED FOR A WRITING ABOUT , THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANYTHING IN WRITING. I WAITED FOR A WEEK WITH NO RESPONSE SO I DID CALL AND THE PERSON-THAT ANSWERED THE PHONE TOLD ME TO FILE A DISPUTE SO THAT IS WHAT I DID .AFTER THIS UNTRUTHFUL RESPONSE I CALLED MY BANK AND THEY INFORMED ME THERE WAS NO CHARGE BY MY BANK FOR A FILING A DISPUTE. SO I THINK THAT DOR-MAR IS SO HARD UP FOR MONEY THAT THEY NEED THE $11.67 TO .KEEP THEM OUT FROM GOING BANKRUPT. I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT JUST DONATING IT TO THEM IF THEY WILL ADMIT TO THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS MATTER.I NEVER SUED A HVAC CO. AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING SO SINCE YOU HAVE STRESSED THAT YOUR CO. Thomas is calling the lady now. If she provides a copy of the other companies work order and they were able to fix the system and what they did we will not charge the $99.99.
