I have emailed 3 times and received no response. I want to cancel my subscription and when I click on forgot password, I get a response that my email does not exist. There is no phone number only the email. I contacted BBB and it sounds as if this company is not reputable as far as answering customers. I have also contacted the attorney general.

Clue access for older box?
I was given (as a gift) an older Mystery Experiences box, entitled "Heart of Darkness," which looks awesome ... but the Web addresses to access certain clues are obsolete. (Another copy of this same box is up for sale on eBay, but why anyone would want an insoluble mystery game is beyond me.) Is there any way to access the online clues for older boxes?

Horrible!
Last box had no motive was just simple elimination and no story etc, so I emailed to ask of this is typical for the boxes now as we haven't done one in awhile (a year maybe). They answered none of my questions and simply told me 'We would encourage you to look elsewhere for your entertainment." My reply was 'Wow, that's really the type of customer service this company has?! You didn't answer a single one of my concerns or questions to see if this was a one off deal or the way they are moving with the boxes but that's fine I guess 🙄

All I received back from them was, " We offer a limited number of memberships and we are selective about whom we keep as members. We wouldn’t be interested in continuing to have you as a member. "

Which I know if nonsense because we've subscribed a few times I know under different emails because we changed ours and both had purchased some and have gotten into this 'exclusive membership' everytime. Very snooty and rude honestly, I'm done with a company that only seems out for my money and can't even address simple questions/concerns about the product they sell.

Horrible, do not buy
My wife thought this would be a fun experience for us to do with some friends.

We enjoyed the first box until we solved it. After that you know the pattern Here's the suspects, find alibis and the killer is the one without an alibi, boring and repetitive.

But we paid for the series so we figured we would live with the bad purchase...

However we were just charged for another series and we want out. We've been trying to email and reach out on social media for over and werk and haven't gotten a response. Their phone number is an audio recording only that directs you to their email and website. The address listed looks doest show anything when you look them up.

They need to be bombarded with complaints about this company so they can removed from hurting others.

As a subscription box company, we ship a brand new mystery once per month to all of our members. Sine you signed up just after our current mystery shipped, your first mystery box ships during the last week of September. Had you contacted us via email, we would have been happy to review our shipping schedule again with you.

Received one box been charged 3 times, no response via email from company
May 29th 2020 I got charged for my first box. Today is august 20th 2020 and I have been charged 3 times for membership and so far I have received only one box. When I email the company I either get no reply or a generic reply that gives you their run down.
When I click on tracking on my account page it says :Pre-Shipment

I already canceled my membership but sure would like a refund for the boxes I never received, which is 2 out of 3.

I never got contacted by the company but interestingly enough, the day after I filed the Revdex.com complaint there was suddenly active tracking available for the two missing orders. So I received my missing orders. Never a word or email from company.

I've paid twice for my subscription and have yet to receive it. Any time I try contacting the company I get the same automated response.
I purchased my first subscription box in the beginning of July. I read and understood the details of shipping (that the box would be sent during the last week of the month and the last day of the month you'd be charged for your next box). However, it's now 8/8/20 and I still have yet to even have tracking on the first box. The status has said that the shipping label was printed on July 26th, but it has yet to be sent out. I've emailed twice now regarding the creation of the shipping label and what's going on since I've now paid 39.99 for two months, we're nearing the middle of the second month and I haven't even received the box for the first. Both emails I've gotten the same generated automatic response. An actual human will not contact me. The website has no phone number to call. At this point I feel very scammed and have addressed that in my ignored emails.

At this point I've accepted that I will never be receiving my box, so I'd like a refund so I can use it for another mystery subscription elsewhere

I have now paid for two boxes and none shipped. When I emailes them its first an automated message and then nothing. There is not a phone number to speak with someone, and after commenting on a Facebook post of theirs they turned my commenting ability off. $80 and nothing received, and havent even received a true response. If I could give them negative stars I would. Truely dissapointing.

I was charged for a June delivery in the amount of $39.99 and never received. I have emailed the company 3 x and no response.
I also emailed them 3 x the end of June and was told to be patient. I have received my July box but still no June a tracking number was provided but the box was delivered to a shipping partner on June 23 and has not updated. I have tried emailing again and received no response, I even checked my spam folder.

Payment collected, item never delivered
MM charged my debit card on 06/01/2020 for the game to be sent for July 2020. Starting 07/10, I have made no less than three email contacts to MM to inquire about my shipment without response. I contacted Cratejoy who is affiliated with MM, and they have said there is nothing they can do. I have been charged $40 with no game ever shipped, no response from the company or their customer service team, and I will no longer refer friends to this company.

I have been subscribed to the monthly box for 4 months. Only received 2 boxes. 1 is in limbo. 1 there is no info. No correspondence from company.

I purchased a Mystery Box from this company for $39.99 on 5/24 after seeing a Facebook ad. It's a subscription product, so they automatically charge you each month unless you cancel. Before I received anything , they charged me another $39.99 for a second box on 6/24. It's now 7/14 and I still haven't received the first box I ordered. I've emailed them numerous times and they don't respond. The tracking number provided on the website provides no information. I canceled my subscription because the whole thing seems shady and I suspect they'd just keep charging me without providing what I ordered.

I was charged $39.99 twice for two months of murder mystery in a box and was never sent anything. I contacted the company three times and was ignored.
In early June, I ordered Murder Mystery in a Box, which is a monthly service that I receive in the mail monthly. My paypal account was charged $39.99 on June 4 and again on June 29. This is a total of $79.98. I have received nothing in the mail. I contacted the company on July 10 and said, "I have been charged for two months and have received nothing. Not cool. Please fix this immediately or refund my money. Thank you. #XXXXXXXXXX" I received this response the following day, "We do not respond to rude and snarky emails. After 24 hours have passed, you may email us again and if you can remain civil, we would be happy to address any issues or questions you may have." I did not believe my email was rude, but I am unhappy with the service and believe that should be addressed. The next day, I sent this email, "Hi, I have been charged for two months of mystery in a box and have not received any packages. Can you please refund my money, please? Thank you!" I did not receive a reply, so I sent it again 24 hours later. I still have not received a reply. I am very disappointed and would like my money refunded. This is a significant amount of money to receive nothing.

I sent the following email to Mystery in a Box on June 11, 2020

I ordered a gift box on April 17, 2020. Ref. # XXXXXXXXXX. I received a notice in May that my order was "out for delivery" on May 13, 2020 with a tracking number. The order has never been delivered. When I search the tracking number it still says it's still out for delivery. When I look at my order on your site it says it's expired. WTF?

I received this response:"We don't respond to emails that are abusive. After 24 hours have passed, you may email us again and we will be happy to take a look at your issue provided that your email is civil."

Since then, the company has refused to answer my emails asking them to cancel the order and credit my account. This person, Wallace B, has been the subject of many previous complaints on your site.

I would like confirmation that my credit card has been credited for the subscription box they never delivered.

This company billed me for a monthly membership twice within a week and then said they explained it on FAQ but I do not think it was clearly stated.
I subscribed and was charged twice within a week. The company said that they explained their billing on their terms of service but I do not think it is clearly stated. This must happen a lot because my problem was actually a pre-set on a drop down menu of why I was cancelling my membership. Their customer service rep, Wallace, was extremely rude and unprofessional as well as his co worker Sarah. They have both refused to let me speak to a manager and the company doesn't have any other form of contact. I attempted to share my experience and get help on their facebook page but they deleted my comments (4 times), blocked me from the page, and did not contact me back.

Not only is their billing and customer service shady, their product is not whats advertised. It is a scam of a company overall.

Desired Outcome

At this point, I do not belive the company will reconcile. They seem to have poor morals, and do not mind stealing money. I will be reporting to the Federal Trade Commision as well as sharing my thoughts on this company with my large following on several social media platforms.

This claim has no merit. This woman created multiple fake identities and false profiles to post false claims and comments online about the company. We are currently pursuing legal action against her and have no further response to this complaint.

That response is untrue. I posted several truthful happenings and the continued to delete them in order to censor my reviews. This company has made sure that nobody can leave reviews on any of their pages. The only way to share your experience is to comment on their Facebook business page. They delete all negative reviews, thus misleading potential new customers. There are several forums online about this company and their dishonest business handlings (including the reviews from this site).

To those who enjoy mysteries-I am outraged by the racist component in the mystery box I received. The plot involves black face. I wrote to the company and shared my concern, and they wrote back that it "symbolizes the darkness of night. We have over 40,000 members and not a single person has had any issue whatsoever with it...We are one of the most progressive companies out there...If you wish to choose to be offended, that's your decision, but it's not grounded in reality." WOW. Their tone deaf response about a racial issue was more shocking than seeing black face in a game box. Of course they don't have a review mechanism on their website or facebook.

This allegation is completely false and is now the subject of a lawsuit being filed against this person. We will not comment further on pending litigation.

I initially ordered the month to month box on March 20,2020. I paid via paypal and the $39.99 came out of my account right away.
I paid initially on MArch 20th, 2020 in the amount of $39.99. I never received any box or notification. I did NOT receive a confirmation email regarding my purchase. I emailed about a week later asking when the box would ship and got a response of they ship the last week of the month and all the info should have been in my confirmation email. I wrote back asking for them to send the confirmation email and have not received any kind of response. Then on March 30th another $39.99 was deducted from Paypal for the next box. As of 4/14/20 I have recieved no boxes and no response to my emails aside from the auto generated one when I CANCELED my account on 4/10/20.

At this point since I have paid twice and NEVER received anything I would like a full refund of $79.98.

We answer all emails we receive, so you may wish to check your spam folder if you don't recall seeing our response to your inquiry. We shipped the first box on time to the address provided during the last week of March. The second box will ship on time during the last week of April. We ship once per during the last week of each month to all members. Orders and renewals are not refundable, but you may cancel your next renewal and end your subscription by logging in to your user account and choosing that option.

I do check my emails numerous times a day including spam. I have ALL of them saved from the ones I sent to the 2 I have received. You state you respond to all emails and that is false. I have been extremely unhappy with your service and terrible customer service. I have NOT received any boxes from you. I would think if you truly shipped the last month of March that I should have received it by now. But I have received nothing as of 4/15/20. That is almost a month from the first time I ordered. As you can see I have emailed multiple times with no responses. I WANT A REFUND!

Have not heard anything from them. I did finally receive 1box but not the other.

I would give them a ZERO if possible. I was a member back from 2017. They used to have a great product but then it became cookie cutter stories. The biggest problem however is that while you are paying $35 per month they do not support the online links or hints etc for more than one year from issue. Due to health issues I did not get to do the boxes starting in July 2018. Now that we are confined to the house my wife and I started to try to work on these only to find that they are now useless since none of the links for clues, hints, answers are working. My last box was bought in Feb of 2019 and it is useless because of this reason. How can they justify taking our money and then turning the boxes into a brick after a short period of time. I paid a lot of money for these boxes and it is nothing but a ripoff. Save your money folks. These items should not have an expiration date.

Customer service by *** was rude, unprofessional, demeaning, and harassing in nature. He continues to send harassing emails though asked to stop.
On March 25, 2020 I replied to a general service email telling me that my mystery box wouldn't be shipped until next month. When I expressed dismay, Wallace the service rep replied that I needed to practice kindness. I replied asking for clarification on his rude email and he continued to send demeaning and lecturing emails to me. Wallace informed me that I would go on the "wall of shame" and that supervisors enjoyed complaints and were entertained my them. He said I could file a complaint with anyone I wished. I asked him to cancel my subscription and to not contact me again to which he replied with personal information about his team members and ended his email with don't contact us again. I again reminded him that I asked him not to contact me further and to put an end to the harassment. He again emailed me. I do have the entire conversation in email.

Desired Outcome

I would like a Wallace's supervisor to contact me, and apology and explanation for the harassment, and to never be contacted by that Wallace person again. Period.

This customer was abusive to one of our staff members who has disability. She is untruthful and her behavior was deplorable. We have no interest in providing this person with any response. We advise other businesses to avoid dealing with her at all costs.

Their response is not even remotely true. It is Wallace (the supposedly "disabled" employee) who was incredibly abusive and demeaning and continued to send me harassing emails despite being asked MULTIPLE TIMES to stop. This same man has been named in multiple reviews and complaints and this response is the same, almost verbatim, to their other numerous complaints.

They chose not to respond to the rebuttal because they have no evidence to refute. If they posted the emails it would become apparent that I was not "abusive" as they claim and it was actually their "customer service" rep who was demeaning.
