Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I have still not received the refund Sincerely, [redacted] ***

This has been a sore spot in our hatThis client will be refunded by the end of April

I was contacted by the owner John of the New York Optimist in September of and was offered a deal to list my property through his online magazine After a week or so of making a decision and follow up calls from him, I agreed to move forward I paid him in full by credit card, signed his contract and the venture started Everything was going well and then in November of he notified me to let me know my credit card was billed again for the same amount due to a "billing error" and he would refund me ASAP Taking his word for it, I let it go for another month and then contacted him letting him know that nothing had been credited back During this time I had referred a friend to him and they were working out a deal to create a website along with other social media exposure to the cost of $3, A few months later, I was told by my friend that the same exact thing happened to them, more money taken from their credit card that he had on file without their approval I then began to realize that this didn't seem like a "billing error" anymore It is now October of and I have not seen my refund and my friend does not have their website up and running We both have been in contact with him since with phone calls, emails, etc with no resolution in site...just empty promises and lies of monies being refunded and websites being completed I would definitely think twice about listing with this company no matter what he promises you...steer clear

In response to your (the Revdex.com) questions The long delay in refunding this client is mainly due to financial issues with our companyOver the past year and a half it has been very difficult to maintain a steady reliable staff, leaving me to handle the larger bulk of work and different jobs that are required to run this company properly I will be refunding this client by certified check money order I will have this check refunded to him ASAP, the weekend may delay the refund by a few daysso as you mentioned in our conversation June [redacted] is probably a better deadline Note: it has been a very difficult month - (May) and I do not want to extend or hold this clients money from being refunded nor did I ever intend for this situation to take place at allThank you for your attention to this matter and I do apologize again [redacted] for this delay

I purchased advertising on thenewyorkoptimist.com and John put my ad on thenewyorkoptimist.net. He claims he is unable to place my ad on the site that I purchased the ad on, so he put it on a different site completely that I didn't purchase. He has been saying he'd give me a refund for almost a year and still has not done so. This business is a fraud.

I was contacted by the owner John of the New York Optimist in September of 2015 and was offered a deal to list my property through his online magazine. After a week or so of making a decision and follow up calls from him, I agreed to move forward. I paid him in full by credit card, signed his contract and the venture started. Everything was going well and then in November of 2015 he notified me to let me know my credit card was billed again for the same amount due to a "billing error" and he would refund me ASAP. Taking his word for it, I let it go for another month and then contacted him letting him know that nothing had been credited back. During this time I had referred a friend to him and they were working out a deal to create a website along with other social media exposure to the cost of $3,500. A few months later, I was told by my friend that the same exact thing happened to them, more money taken from their credit card that he had on file without their approval. I then began to realize that this didn't seem like a "billing error" anymore. It is now October of 2016 and I have not seen my refund and my friend does not have their website up and running. We both have been in contact with him since with phone calls, emails, etc with no resolution in site...just empty promises and lies of monies being refunded and websites being completed. I would definitely think twice about listing with this company no matter what he promises you...steer clear.

In response to your (the Revdex.com) questions 1. The long delay in refunding this client is mainly due to financial issues with our company. Over the past year and a half it has been very difficult to maintain a steady reliable staff, leaving me to handle  the larger bulk of work and different jobs that are required to run this company properly.   2. I will be refunding this client by certified check money order.   3. I will have this check refunded to him ASAP, the weekend may delay the refund by a few days. so as you mentioned in our conversation June [redacted] is probably a better deadline.   Note: it has been a very difficult month - (May) and I do not want to extend or hold this clients money from being refunded nor did I ever  intend for this situation to take place at all. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I do apologize again [redacted] for this delay.
