I’m not at all impressed with this company. They are requesting that we pay them for services that are not related to a third party. We’ve left 2 voicemails with zero return calls. They continue to send more letters, complete with personal health information (provider names, dates of treatment, ICD 10 & CPT codes with descriptions) that is not necessary for them to have access to. How is this HIPPA compliant? Even *** has been unsure as to how Rawlings is attempting to collect almost $4000 from us when *** does not even have a file started for this patient.
This feels shady and looks like poor business practice especially when they refuse to return our phone calls after leaving messages directly to the person’s name on the letters.

I have had to contact this company on three different occasions primarily because I needed help and guidance to resolve the audit notice I received. This was a mistake on my pharmacy's end. I shouldn't have to deal with this. I have always had insurance and they mistakenly billed the wrong one. I have tried so hard to get the issue resolved and its almost seems impossible. The three times I have spoke with RFS I have hung the phone up shaking in anger. I worked in customer service for three years and even on the worst calls I tried so hard to treat people respectfully regardless of the situation. Throughout my life I have contacted many different customer service agencies and never felt the way I do when I speak to RFS. Its almost like they want to treat you like a worthless piece of crap over an issue that should've never happened. I straight up told MICHELLE she was being rude and instead of her apologizing for coming off that way, she went into defense mode and started explaining how all the calls are recorded and how she wasn't rude, that I was the problem and that I wasn't listening to her. I didn't call to argue over the bill. I called because I needed HELP and GUIDANCE. Something I have yet to receive from this place. I asked her a simple question and instead of her answering the question, she went into a spill about how I wasn't listening to her. If in fact these calls are recorded then I'm baffled as to how these agents still have jobs. I never wish ill thoughts on anyone, but I hope Michelle has to deal with a similar situation someday. Maybe she will then learn how to treat others in a respectful manner. Shame on you....

I keep receiving audit notice of payment of a debt I don't owe. I keep on telling them that I contacted my previews insurance company and they said they paid satisfactory but for some reason the system it is not updated so told them that is not my problem. So now another letter for the same issue and debt I don't owe and told them the same story. I am wasting my time calling these agencies and they keep on saying the same story over and over. For last I told them to contact the insurance directly so they can update their system.

This letter is in response to the Complaint filed with your organization bearing #***. Rawlings Financial Services, LLC provides data mining and claims recovery services to health insurance companies and administrators, including the Complainant's prior health insurer. As part of its work, Rawlings seeks to recover payments which were made by its clients for services or products incurred after an individual's coverage with that insurer or plan has ended. The records of the Complainant's prior insurer reflect that prescriptions were filled for him after his coverage with that insurer had terminated. Rawlings' client was nonetheless billed by the pharmacy and paid for those prescriptions. Repayment of these amounts has therefore been sought.Rawlings' letters requested the Complainant to contact Rawlings or his pharmacies to provide new insurance information and request that these claims be rebilled to that new insurer. In the alternative, the Complainant could pay the amount indicated in the letters representing the amount paid by Rawlings' client. To assist in facilitating the billing of these prescriptions to the proper coverage, Rawlings stands ready to work with the Complainant and coordinate efforts with his new insurer, COBRA provider (if applicable) and/or the pharmacies. Rawlings will need to have additional information from the Complainant regarding his new insurer or COBRA provider to do so. He may contact *** at *** (***) to provide this needed information. We trust that this will resolve the Complainant's concerns. We certainly regret any inconvenience that this process may have caused him. Please do not hesitate to let us know if additional information is needed. Thank you.

Scam...got a letter about my car accident I had in Mar. They had my health plan name. Saying I would have to pay the other parties insurance from my settlement. Funny thing is, I haven't been in a car accident in over twenty years. And I just got that health plan the first of September.

I was rear ended by someone and taken to the ER. I hired a lawyer to handle everything. They settled for a very small amount with the insurance company. Then my settlement was taken by this company for absolutely no reason. As I got bills from the hospital or doctors I paid them out of pocket, and my medical insurance paid the rest. There is no money owed to anyone. Yet they took what little I got from the accident, which doesnt even cover my out of pocket expenses, and are essentially forcing me to double pay my bills.

Ladies and Gentlemen:This letter is in response to the Complaint filed with your organization bearing #***. Rawlings provides claims recovery services to health insurance companies, including the Complainant's insurer. The Complainant was involved in an accident, and her insurer paid medical benefits on her behalf. The Complainant, who is represented by legal counsel, has apparently settled her accident claim with other parties. Contrary to the Complainant's assertions, the amount of the claim Rawlings has asserted on behalf of the health insurer is less than the reported amount of her settlement.Pursuant to applicable law and the insurance contract which the Complainant has with her health insurer, the health insurer has a legal right to recover from the settlement proceeds the amounts it paid on the Complainant's behalf. Rawlings has been in communication with the Complainant's attorney throughout this process. We understand that the Complainant may disagree with our efforts and may not wish to reimburse her insurance carrier. However, these efforts are made in accordance with her contract with the health insurer and applicable law.Rawlings holds customer service among our most important values. We take seriously any complaints related to our services. We regret any inconvenience or concern that this process may have caused the Complainant. If the Complainant has any further concerns, we would be happy to address those with her attorney.

Continued harassment on my cell phone, asked multiple times for calls to stop.

The Rawlings Company Response • Jun 28, 2019

Rawlings has reviewed its records and based on the information in the Complaint is unable to identify an open matter regarding the Complainant.

If the Complainant will advise us of his cell number (if different from the above) we can research further.

If the Complainant has received correspondence from Rawlings, it would be helpful to have the file#/reference# from that letter.

If this information can be provided, we can then investigate and determine who might be calling and why.

Thank you.

I was involved in a car accident on 02/03/2016. My car insurance company paid ALL of my medical bills and for some reason .... insurance company paid some of the medical bills alongside of my car insurance company. Meaning that the hospital and a few providers collected payment twice for the same bills. I was told by Rawlings that the issues were disputed and all but 1 of the providers have repaid their payments to Rawlings. I have yet to find out if the provider has repaid the funds back to the insurance company and my attorney is still waiting on the letter from Rawlings to release my funds. I want this resolved now!

Ladies and Gentlemen:This letter is in response to the Complaint filed with your organization bearing #***. Rawlings provides claims recovery services to health insurance companies, including the Complainant's insurer. The Complainant was involved in an auto accident, and her health insurer paid medical benefits on her behalf. It appears that her automobile insurer also paid for some of the same treatment.Rawlings has sought on behalf of the health insurer, and recovered from certain of the medical providers, amounts paid that were duplicated by the auto insurer. However, there are two (2) remaining providers which have yet to reimburse the health plan. Neither of these providers will confirm by telephone the amount of any overpayments. Hence, Rawlings has written each of the providers regarding the duplicate payments and requesting reimbursement. As of this writing we have had no response. We are continuing our efforts to obtain the needed information from the auto insurer. We have also communicated with the Complainant's attorney regarding the health plan's claim, most recently on 4/24/19. We have informed him that we cannot issue a "no lien" letter until we can confirm the amount of overpayment by the two providers and then determine the remaining amount, if any, which may be reimbursed from the Complainant's uninsured motorist coverage. We understand the Complainant's desire to bring this matter to a conclusion. We regret any inconvenience or concern that this process may have caused her. We will continue to work with the Complainant's legal counsel and the two providers to resolve the pending claim of the health plan as quickly as possible.Sincerely,***Deputy General Counsel to The Rawlings Group

This company is claiming that I owe *** over $4000 for health related bills I never incurred. I called *** and they said I have no such bill. I want this bill removed. I have never received a bill from ***. Why are they charging me for a non existent claim. I will contact the FTC for fraudulent billing practices.

Rawlings provides claims recovery services to health insurance companies and administrators, including the Complainant's health insurer. Rawlings' seeks to recover payments made by its clients on claims which should have been paid by other parties. In this instance, the Complainant's health insurer paid claims on her behalf that allegedly resulted in whole or in part from a work-related condition. As such, Rawlings seeks to recover the amount its client paid to medical providers for work-related injuries not covered by the health plan. The Complainant has filed a workers' compensation claim which, based on our latest information, is still pending. I received a letter from this company on behalf of *** stating Audit Notice - Response Required. Basically they were seeking payment from me for alledged incorrect payments their client made to pharmacies when I was no longer with that plan. I told the rep that I had researched their company and that they were a debt collecter and received a response that this was simply an audit. I asked that they mail me information so I could research the issue and get in touch with them.

Less than 48 hours after this phone conversation I received a phone call asking if I had received the letter. I had not and advised the rep that when I got the letter and information I would be back in touch. Approx. 6 days later I received the letter dated for the day of our first conversation. The heading on this letter was Audit Notice - Payment Due. Basically the letter attempts to collect a payment from me with a detach and return payment portion on the bottom and using terms like " debt" and " copy of judgement against you ".

This company is trying to put the burden of payment and " jumping thru hoops " on me. It is their client who may have made incorrect payments to two pharmacies. My prescription coverage with that provider had been terminated prior to these claims and I have written proof from that provider that they had that in their records. If they did fill prescriptions after that time period the burden is on them to work it out with the pharmacies and any payment is due it is up to them collect from another source. Their error is not my responsibility.

have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

It appears that Rawlings is taking a final position that this situation is entirely on me and their client bears no responsiblity whatsoever for this situation. In the spirit of cooperation I will extend an effort to contact the pharmacies so they may try to rectify this alledged error.

This act of cooperation should not be construed as an admission of responsibility for the monies requested. I am simply trying to assist before this matter goes before a court of competent jurisdiction in New York.
