SHERWIN-WILLIAMSThe Sherwin-Williams Company Bracken Place SE — Suite Snoqualmie, WA June 19, [redacted] This letter is in response to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] dated June 14, for store #(Sammamish, WA)The customer's statement of problem was: "I placed an order for Gallons [redacted] paint on June at Sherwin Williams Sammamish Store (SAMMAMISH #8189) and the salesman told me it will be ready in 1-daysBut after calling the store day by day and it's still not ready now (June 15)It does cause delay on my project and I need to pay additional fees to my contractors when they are waiting for paint." Our response to this complaint is as follows: June 12: Customer visited store and ordered gallons of Interior [redacted] paintStore did not have this in stock and told customer it would take a couple of days to round up from nearby storesCustomer was not billed for any of the paint at this timeJune (two days after order placed at store): Store communicated with customer to indicate that most of order was in, but not allgallons were sold and received by customer on invoice #***, dated 6/14/at 11:amStore told customer they had orders out to have remaining product sent to them by nearby stores (orders to these stores were placed on 6/& 6/— see attached Inter-Store Transfer (IST) copiesJune 15: Remainder of product arrived at storeCustomer picked up product at 6:pm and was billed on transaction #Order was completeWhile the customer states in his comment that the order was not ready on June 15, he, in fact, picked up 57% of the order on June and the balance was complete and picked up on June While the customer may have been inconvenienced due to 43% of the order taking one additional day to deliver, we do not feel that the store should be found guilty of unprofessional business practicesThe store was at the mercy of the delivery of product coming from other stores and communicated with the customer daily as to the status of the orderThe customer states that he hopes "to get my paint ready ASAPAlso, I want to get the refund for the additional cost that I paid to my contractors." We feel the store made a genuine effort to get this order completed in a timely fashion, that the bulk of the order was picked up by the customer in the time-frame they desired (1-days) and that the painter would be kept busy for at least hours to apply the gallons picked up on the 14thWe do not feel that we should bear responsibility for the additional cost paid to the contractors that the customer alleges he had to incurPlease let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter Regards, Craig K [redacted] Seattle District City Manager

Re: Revdex.com ID # [redacted] Minwax Case # / [redacted] Rhonda, This correspondence is in response to your letter dated March 10, in which [redacted] claims that our product damaged her floors, causing her to seek $to have the floors professionally refinishedOn January 4th, MsS [redacted] contacted our technical service help line to discuss an issue that she had pertaining to bubbles in the dried film of Minwax Polycrylic that her husband had applied to their floor project Our phone agent had MsS [redacted] walk him through the process that was used in order to determine what may have caused the issue It was during this question and answer session that the claimant explained that the product was applied with an applicator other than what is recommended on the label instructions Our phone agent then advised MsS [redacted] that the label instructions explicitly call for application of this product with a high quality synthetic bristle brush It was explained that other types of applicators, such as a rollers, are prone to overworking the product, and could force air into the wet product and cause bubbles The customer was also advised that according to the label, this product is not recommended for floors It was explained that the product used is not harmful to the floors, but the concern is long term durability MsS [redacted] was adamant that her issue was the result of "bad product." While we are fairly certain that the issue is not related to a product defect, we were willing to perform our due diligence to investigate the batch history of the products involved, so we requested identification numbers, located on the can, that would help us investigate a potential product defect To date we have not been supplied with the requested batch numbers, or pictures of the can lids to help with our investigationWith the information we have at our disposal, we have no reason to believe that the issue was caused by a product defect, or that our product ruined the claimants' floors We have offered a refund for their product purchase, as well as the correct replacement product, at no charge We have also given advice on how correctly complete the project, and we have offered $as a good will gesture to help with sanding suppliesIn addition, The Home Depot has offered an in store credit in the amount of $which is more than enough for sander rental fees and suppliesBased on the fact that this started out as a do-it-yourself project, we do not feel it is a reasonable solution for Minwax to pay for a professional refinisher to complete the projectThat said, our current offer of product refund ($101.68), no charge product replacement ($value), and $good will gesture, still stands in addition to The Home Depot's $in store credit offer, for a total settlement value of $ Please feel free to contact me by email or phone should you have any questions regarding our position on this matterSincerely, Mike [redacted] Minwax - Claims [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [redacted] ,I did not "demand" immediate refund, I was asked how I would like issue resolved I would like the issue resolved they way your employee suggested when I spoke with him on July 3rd When I called three weeks ago, I was told "the check was processes and you will receive it soon." When I called last week, I was told "the check was cut and yeah you'll will receive it" and now your response on August 25th was that the check was mailed August 24th As of August 26, 2015, I have still not received a refund and it has been weeks since I was originally promised a refund If I had known the check would not actually be delivered, I could have tried to return the product to [redacted] Hardware but since I mailed in the receipt, this is no longer an option I also don't think [redacted] should be held responsible for your product which does not work but I did inform them of the results (or lack of results) of using your product on my walkway so they can be aware Since this is the third time I was told the refund would arrive "soon", I can't accept you response until I actually receive the refund I would also hope this would be forwarded to the correct department to retest your product because it did not remove the algae or anything else from the concrete walk way as promisedFrom your website: "Removes stains from dirt, mildew, algae and fungus on a range of outdoor surfaces, including wood and composite decks, fences, concrete, masonry, brick, stucco, outdoor furniture, roofs, siding and some fabrics such as awnings and vinyl plastics." Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Sherwin-williams has offered to pay for the paint but not laborTheir conclusion that the whole house would be mildewing is not correctThere are different colors of paint on my house, the green paint is not showing any problems yet, the cream colored paint is mildewing in all applicationsI received a quote of $to repaint, this is not fair or good customer relations in my opinion Regards, [redacted] ***

The following was a copy/paste by Revdex.com Staff Complainant purchased two cans of [redacted] spray paint for use on a bookcase painting projectShe was unhappy with the way that the paint covered the surfacesIn her 8/14/notice to Revdex.com, Complainant stated the disputed amount to be $As Sherwin-Williams Customer Service representatives understood Complainant, she wanted to be reimbursed for two cans of [redacted] spray paint and produced receipts for her purchaseComplainant received a check for $8.57, with the understanding that Complainant would forward receipts after she purchased replacement paintShe then demanded up-front payment for replacement paintOn 9/14/Complainant stated that she received a second check for $12.00, bringing her total settlement to $In other words, Complainant has been reimbursed for the [redacted] paint the she did not like, plus she was given funds to purchase replacement paintNow Complainant wants $to settle her claimSherwin-Williams has compensated Complainant in the full amount of her original demand; she needs only to cash the two checks which she has received

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Their response was very inaccurate and DID NOT address the sheen issue The name on the response is not one I'm familiar with, so I'm sure this is how the correct information was lost please ask them to review their information that way it matches the emails and texts I can send in Sherwin Williams, I will not give up on this, no matter how long you try to draw it out Giving me product and cash does not fix the original issue I still do not have a straight answer regarding how to fix the Dias' driveway Regards, [redacted] ***
