Review: Contracted with [redacted] and the Tempelton group to help me with my loan modification for the cost of $3000. He assured me it would get done in 3-6 months, and if it didn't I would get my money back. Promised 2% for 5 years and 3% after that. Went from dealing with [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], all of them are scam artist. I hope they get a taste of their own medicine. The Company is owned by [redacted]Also look out for [redacted], [redacted]. They are all part of the scam.Almost 10 months later and I have no modification, and less $3000. I found out today that the nassau county police department seized all computers and files and shut down this scam operation. If anyone has information on how to get my money back it would be appreciated. [redacted] "tempelton group, [redacted]t" and watch the video. These thugs flattened the tires of the news reporters and customers. Watch how mad [redacted] gets and how stupid those other is look on camera. They are a bunch of clowns.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and for them all to rot.

Review: April **, 2013 I contracted The Templeton Group to represent me with modification of my current Mortgage with Ocwen Loan Servicing for a lower rate due financial hardship. I was asked by the Templeton Group to pay for the service in full to get the application immediately started. After several calls from Ocwen Loan Servicing and a visit to The Templeton Group office I was informed that NO application for modification as of July [redacted] 2013 has been submitted.Desired Settlement: Refund

Sincerely,

Review: After hearing a Tempelton Group radio advertisement regarding refinancing opportunities for people with mortgages being serviced by Hudson City, I called and made an appointment. I met with [redacted], executive vice president, on April [redacted] and agreed to move forward with their service and submitted a check and required documents the following week. Within a few days I began reading reports in banking industry newspapers that the buyout of Hudson City mortgages by M&T Bank was not going through even though I continued to hear the same original Tempelton Group advertisement on the radio. I have tried 18 times (combined between telephone calls and emails) to reach [redacted] to discuss receiving my payment refund as was I informed by [redacted] before I submitted the payment that if you"don't qualify the payment is 100% refundable." I clearly cannot qualify as the deal between M&T and Hudson City is "on hold at minimum until early 2014 if it goes through at all," as I was informed by a contact at M&T Bank. A few days ago in an attempt to reach someone else in the Tempelton Group office I called and spoke with an operator at the general office number that was in the radio advertisement -- the same operator, [redacted], whom I spoke to in April -- who said she would call me back with more information. I did not receive a return call back so I called again yesterday and reached [redacted] who informed me that she is too busy to return every call she receives and then hung up the phone. I find this lack of service and poor treatment of a customer unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I request The Tempelton Group to issue a refund of my full payment of $4450.00 as I have not received the service that was advertised nor the treatment that I deserve.

Sincerely,

Review: We (me and my spouse) met with their representative [redacted] back in March 2013 at our home in reference to a mortgage modification. We made payments which totalled $3025.00. The Tempelton Group was suppose to be in contact with my mortgage company Citi Mortgage to get our mortgage modified/reduced. Our paperwork kept moving from one Processor to another (within the Tempelton Group) and nothing was being done. We were communicating up until the early part of August and then I could not get return call, no responses to email or text from [redacted]. While on vacation August ** to the August [redacted], my friend [redacted] (who referred us to [redacted]) called to say that [redacted] no longer worked at the Templeton Group. I have called the Tempelton Group since Saturday, August [redacted], 2013 and I have yet to speak to a live person. Once I returned home, I received a letter from my bank (Citi Mortgage) stating I was not interested in a modication and I would received forclosure papers. I also lost my mind..What were these people doing. (Tempelton Group). I went of the office on August [redacted] and again on September [redacted]. I spoke to [redacted] August [redacted]...nothing was being done. We spoke to [redacted] on September [redacted] and indicated I wanted my monies paid returned to us. My house also could have went in foreclosure! [redacted] stated she needed to speak with a [redacted] who is supposedly [redacted] of the Tempelton Group and call would be returned on Thursday, September [redacted]. As of todate, no one has called me.Desired Settlement: We want our funds paid of $3025.00. We cannot afford to lose this money..we are hard working people. Imagine the other people he has done this to and this company is not doing anything.

Sincerely,

Review: The Tempelton Group assured us of a loan modification with our lender for a primary mortage and secondary mortgage loan. We paid them $3,000 up front. After week of them refusing to return calls and emails, I was able to get in touch with the original representative who came to our house to collect the money. I was assurred by the Tempelton Group that they were doing everything possible and because our paper work was submitted and they did not hear back from the bank, there was no need for them to return our calls. It was explained the the agents were to busy with other cases. I have left numerous voice mails and emails and have not heard back from them.

I contacted our lender and spoke with a representative that informed us that we did not quailfy for a loan modification under Harp, Ham etc. I emailed the Tempelton Group about the latest development and they have again refused to answer my email or telephone calls. I have received cold calls by other similar businesses (sharing my information) and from people claiming to represent the Tempelton Group that were not familiar with our records or to the rep that took our money.Desired Settlement: Since the Tempelton Group is not willing to comminicate with me, I am affraid they are a scam company and we would like our deposit refunded.

At first they were very diligent in getting back to me.. and asking me for other documentation that was needed. I payed them there fee On December [redacted] . months went by and [redacted] told us it could take up 6 months I have tried calling them left numerous messages and and no phone calls back. [redacted] advised me that [redacted] will be handleing my modification. I have my mortgage company calling me constantly and I try to explain to them that I hired a third party to help me with the modification and they told me they have nothing of that on file... That I also was denied for a modification from the time that I did it on my own... Please help me This company does not return my phone calls , to even tell me anything... I am in the process of loosing my home and I think they robbed me for my 2700.00 when I could have used that money for some other help.. I am at my wits end.Desired Settlement: I am requesting either a refund or services to be preformed that I payed for.

Sincerely,

Review: I paid this company, $3000 dollars to assist me with a loan modification, a few months later I received a call from my mortgage bank threatening foreclosure, and the bank said that the company has not called on my behalf or filed any papers on my behalf. when I called the company and made a complaint, asking for my money back, they stated that they do not give refunds and hung up the phone on me. I went down to their office personally and they would not let me speak with anyone, in fact they called a gentleman who came and tried to intimidate me and my sister to leave, we didn't leave and told them that I am a paying customer who paid money for a service that was not never done and I demanded my money back, the company tried to force me out of the door and when I put my hands on the door to prevent it from closing a gentleman pinched my hands, I called the police. the company still refuses to give me a refund although they have done NOTHING on my behalf and now my house is in danger of being forclosedDesired Settlement: I paid this company $3000 dollars to represent me and help me with a loan modification to save my home, and the company has done nothing on my behalf and have kept my money, I demand my money back right now $3000!

Review: Several months ago I paid the Tempelton Group $3,000 for a loan modification. I was told I would get a 2% mortgage for 5 years, and then a 5% mortgage thereafter for the life of the loan. I was told it would take 4 to 6 months for the application process. I was told that if my application was rejected, I would get my money back.On November *, 2013, I called [redacted] about the status of my loan application. She is the women I met several months ago in a [redacted] diner to fill out the paperwork. She did not answer the phone, and I left her a message to call me back. She did not return my call.I called her again the next day, and I got a message saying that her voice mail was full, so I could not leave her a message. I then called the 800 number for the Tempelton Group. I got a message from the operator that the number was temporarily unavailable.Obviously, the Tempelton Group is not a reputable company. I was scammed by them out of $3,000. I just want to get my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like to get back the $3,000 I paid for the loan modification application.

Review: Promise to do a loan modification on my mortgage with the stipulation of getting money back if the bank denied it. Bank has turned down loan modification, and The Tempelton Group does not return calls, does not let me into office. I am owed $2995.00, there have been many many victims of this scam company. They also have gone under the name Of Clarenont Funding, headed by [redacted]. Their services were advertised on the radio under the guise of working with Obamas Hamp Porgram.Desired Settlement: REFUND - CLOSING THESE SCAMMERS DOWN

Sincerely,

Review: We had called a phone number for the Making Home Affordable loan modification for our home mortgage. We received phone call by a man named [redacted] from the Templeton Group and made an appointment for him to meet with us at our home in [redacted] NY in the latter part of Feb, 2013. At this time he sad down with us and went over specific information involving or mortgage and finances. He told us that we definitely met the qualifications of the HARP program and he guaranteed us that he would be able to have our mortgage modified and that he would help us save our home. It would take approx. 3 to 4 months to do this and the fee would be 2995 dollars, fully refundable if we were denied but he assured us we would not. Well I have been dealing with them for 7 months. I have been told that we did not qualify and that they were handing my folder over to another underwriter to submit for a HAMP program. Everytime I call them I get the run around, am treated very rudely, hung up on, told I am over reacting, ect. Finally about 2 weeks ago I was contacted by [redacted] who stated he was the owner of the Templeton group and that He was appalled at the way I was treated by his staff and that he would personally be handling my case and folder. Well needless to say the man is talking in circles and now has been out sick, not returning phone calls, and basically ignoring us. We have been cheated, lied to, used and basically manipulated by these people because we needed help.Desired Settlement: I would like a cash refund immediately with interest...I am told and have read on previous complaint sites that when this company issues refund checks they bounce.

After sending in my complaint to the Revdex.com and also filing charges with the Nassau County District Attorneys Office In reference to complaint ID [redacted], The Templeton Group called me and has refunded me in full.

Sincerely,

Review: In April 2013, I was referred to [redacted] of the Tempelton Group. She told me that I qualified for a government program that would significantly lower my mortgage rates. She said that [redacted] was looking for people like me who couldn't get a mortgage refinance due to the fact that I was on a long furlow from work. All I would need to do was write her a check for $2,995.00 to enroll. I borrowed the money from family members and I wrote her the check. A couple of months went by and I tried to contact her to see what our status was. After weeks of leaving messages for her, she finally called to tell me that she was very sick and gave me the name of someone else in the group who had taken over her clients cases. I was never able to get in touch with that person. I called [redacted] back and after again leaving messages for weeks, she finally called me back and very curtly told me that this process could take years. I asked for a refund since she didn't tell me that in our initial meeting. She told me that I was now ineligible for a refund since I wasn't officially denied by the government - it was considered "backing out" of our deal. I have tried numerous times to speak with anyone from this Tempelton Group to help me get my money back. I am a working class citizen which this company preys on and they are using [redacted] to lure people in.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back - $2,995.00

Review: [redacted] and the rest of the Tempelton Group are the worst sm of the Earth! They prey on people who are all ready down on their luck and struggling to keep their home from going into foreclosure by pretending to be a reputable company that can assist in directly dealing with your mortgage lender to get you a loan modification. [redacted] came to my home back in April of 2013 wearing his nice fancy suit and pretended to care about my financial hardship promising me that they would get me an affordable loan modification. He stated that The Tempelton Group was so good at what they did that if they were not able to accomplish it they would promptly refund my $3,100. I paid the full amount in 2 seperate payments and after I made the second half of it, that was it! I never heard back from him or anybody else from the Tempelton Group ever again. It has now been 2 months since I received any contact from them and now I'm back to square one trying to work with my lender to get my loan modification done. It has been nothing but pure aggravating. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THE TEMPELTON GROUP.Desired Settlement: My full refund of $3,100 in cash only since I've learned that they gave someone else that was also scammed and given a bad check when she demanded her money back.

Review: I contacted The Tempelton Group after hearing a radio advertisement on the Obama Home modification program and how you could save $600-$800 on your monthly mortgage payments if you qualify. I called and set up a metting with one of the Tempelton agents. He met myself and my wife at our home and after laying out all of our monthly payments vs income he told us that we did not qualify for the Obama plan but we did qualify for a lower interest rate. He then laid out how the process works, with his company doing the leg work with our mortgage holder and eventually getting us a better rate. The process, he said, would take around 6-8 weeks and if we didn't get the lower rate we would not be obligated for anything other than the initial paperwork being processed. The cost was $3,000, we arranged a payment plan, by check (Feb-March-April) of $1,000 per month. We sent the Tempelton Group 2 payments of $1000 each and after no communication for 40 days I decided not to send the last payment. I tried to contact the agent who came to our house and after speaking to him once in early March he disappeared. The Tempelton Group uses a tricky tactic by saying that if the consumer does not provide all of the proper paperwork the process will get delayed. I sent in the same papers 3 times in a 3 week period and then after I questioned why it was taking so long I received a call from another agent who said that my paperwork was incomplete. SCAM at the highest level!! There are numerous customers besides myself who all feel victimized by the company. They need to be investigated now and prosecuted!Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded and I want the owner of this company to be brought up on fraud charges.

Review: Company had me sign a contract promising a home loan modification or a full refund. Did not receive a modification and have not heard back from them as far as a refund. Company did nothing for months at all until I threatened legal action.Desired Settlement: full refund $1665.00

Review: This is a scam. I asked to have my money returned and all I get is a run around. Now the office is closed and my agent isn't returning my calls. They claimed to be a mortgage modification company. They have had my paperwork for over 9 months and no results. They were advertising on WFAN that they did modifications through the Obama homecare act.Desired Settlement: I want the money I gave them upfront returned. They haven't kept there side of the contract.

Review: My name is [redacted] and this is my second attempt at modifying my mortgage. My first attempt at modification was a failure and I lost $1750, its been seven months at my second attempt with The Tempelton Group.

In November of 2012 I met with [redacted] to discuss the modification process, she assured me that I could contact her at any time and discuss any concerns. In the beginning she was very responsive and communication was frequent but once I gave her $2,500 to begin the process communication decreased. Each time I would call her I was told by her she would call me back but never did, then my voicemails was never answered and soon I heard nothing. Some months later I was contacted by her associate and given a new fax number to submit documents but not a telephone number, it has been three months since I’ve heard from anyone.

I am now at risk of foreclosure and cannot get in contact with anyone from The Tempelton Group, I do not want to lose my home and in desperate need of proper assistance. This whole situation has raised my blood pressure and made me sick, I work hard to provide a home for myself, children and grandchildren but now all may be taken away from me because I paid for services that has not being provided. Please help me in keeping my home, please help me in getting in contact with [redacted] from The Tempelton Group and please help meDesired Settlement: For them to modify my mortgage as hired or return all my money and private documents.

Review: I sent 2500.00 to this company to modify my mortgage in April and nothing has been do,and now my loose my house.Desired Settlement: Refund, stop there business, needs to be shut down

Review: These people are nothing but crooks! They claim to be a company that does loan modifications and they would work with my mortgage lender. But all they've managed to do was take my money and not return any of my phone calls after that! I was told that they would be contacting my mortgage lender a few months ago to set up an interview with them but they lied about that. Every time I call to speak to someone from the Templeton Group to find out the status of my case, they tell me that someone will call me back but they never do. At this point in time, all I want is my money back. They are not even Revdex.com accredited! When I contacted my mortgage lender to see if the Templeton Group had been communicating with them I was told that they received a call just yesterday from an unidentified individual that advised that certain documents would be needed.. And that call was made just yesterday. I am done with these people. Now if you are a legitimate financial institution, why wouldn't you identify yourself to let my mortgage lender know who you are and that you are working on my behalf??? something fishy is going on with this so called "company". I am reporting them to the NYS Attorney General's Office to let them know what has been going on and to also get my money back. I am pretty sure if these people are trying to scam me, they are scamming others as well.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by The Tempelton Group regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[I have requested a refund from them and all I get is a run around. They contacted my daughter on 7/**/13 to let us know that within 48 hours they would be sending me more information but I did not receive any correspondence from them.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: We hired this agency to modify our mortgage. They took our money, $3900.00, and told us that it would take about six months to process everything with our mortgage company. It has now been over a year. We have called several times and were told that our case manager will contact us. When we never got a phone call, we called the person who originated the contract and she brushed us off a few times but eventually told us that she no longer worked there and the company was seized. We were promised a money back guarantee service that was never provided. We want our money back.Desired Settlement: We want our money back.

We went to this company because we were having a difficult time paying our mortgage and they took advantage of our predicament and basically stole our money.

We don't want anyone else to have to go through this ordeal.
