Initial Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2016/02/08) */
I am not sure why [redacted] had complained about our service and not [redacted]. We were working with [redacted] to settle a hail claim and [redacted] had not come to a fair agreement.
After several conversation with [redacted] we were able to...

get [redacted] entire homes roof and siding replaced. Unfortunately, it take a few weeks longer for [redacted] to come to an agreement, but once we had an agreement work commenced in a timely manner.
Thanks again for your patience Luckasz and I am glad you like the work.
Sincerely,
Steve C[redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (4200, 17, 2016/02/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did't complain about [redacted] because they are not the problem. I did not receive one phone call or email stating that there was an issue with [redacted]. Even when I called several times (upwards of 10 times) I got no information and was always told "Steve" or project manager would call me back that day or in 30 min. Which never happened. Also was always told my work was going to be done next week which never happened. I received one phone call after I filed the complaint with Revdex.com that said the supplies were ordered and then once payment was due. Which I was told I had to pay because the supplies were ordered. If I could of gotten the money back I would have hired a different company to do the work in a timely manner. Once the roofing materials was delivered they sat on the ridge of the roof in below freezing temperatures for about 4 days. One the roof was installed there was "ridges" in the the shingles from sitting on the roof. Want refund for an improperly installed roof. Once work completed I waited on checks from insurance to be delivered. During that time I was harassed about the payments ( even calling my place of work) which I explained that I did not receive them yet and will send them when I get them. I just want a refund and be done with this company fore ever. And would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/10/22) */
It is unfortunate that Allstate insurance denied Mr. [redacted] claim. We had provided all of our estimates to Allstate. Allstate is the company who is failing to live up to the coverage that was promised to Mr. [redacted].
As Mr. [redacted] has...

noted we met with Allstate on many occasions and the first insurance adjuster had said they would be approving the siding. The second adjuster denied the entire claim.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/10/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This would seem pretty simple...if the company provided estimates to Allstate, just send me a copy as well. They promised numerous times to do so and I really do not see the problem with giving the homeowner a copy of what was sent to Allstate pertaining to MY HOME. That is all I want from 3rd Estimate and do not understand why this had to go to this level.

After looking through our correspondence and file we do have the paperwork stating the a roof inspection was purchased. Since the inspection that we provided did not seem to fulfill the customer's expectations we will gladly refund the $25 purchase price. We just need the complete name mailing...

address to send the check and it will go out in the following days mail. We did provide the inspection but the CAD drawing is not a service that we are still able to provide, so of course a refund we hope can rectify the situation. Thanks in advance!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/20) */
We have been in contact multiple time with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] regarding their lights on the front of the house. We have tried meeting them on several occasions but we are getting conflicting information. One party would like the light removed...

and the other party would like to keep it. All work has been completed for over a month other than this light. As of today. we have not received any money from the [redacted]'s and we too would like this resolved so we can be paid for our siding and gutter work. We have bee out multiple time to their home but no-one is ever home. We can not test a light without the power on and we need to get into the home.
We would like Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] to schedule a time for us to resolve this issue.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
the work has not been done for over a month. There is one they were supposed to replace but they didnt. They were supposed to take the lights down when they side of the house but they didn't. They put it back up. Now it is up and it doesn't work, as well as the porch light because they damaged the electrical wires. We have gotten a call twice since I filed this complaint, absolutely nothing before that. They did not return my calls and they did not return my emails. when they called to come out, it was someone saying hey this is John or whatever I'm about 10 minutes from your house and want to stop by and check out the electricity. That is not acceptable. These people can make an appointment around my schedule because I have been trying to work around their schedule for months. They will not get a dime from me until the job is finished.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/08/11) */
We have worked with Mr. & Mrs. [redacted]e to resolve their issues with lights. We were unaware if the light worked or did not worked at our contract signing. Mr [redacted]e had asked that remove the light and cover the electric. Mrs. [redacted]e wanted the lights to be kept.
We also can not control the rain, or material delays as we encountered many rain days in late spring an early summer.
As of July 23, 2015 Mrs [redacted]e had signed off on the work stating it was ok for Wells Fargo to fund our company for the work. As of today we have not been paid.

Not only are these guys incompetent, they are apparently blatantly dishonest as well.
Our porch light worked the morning you began working, and when someone finally came back out to fix it, he said his workers clearly crossed the wires. I wanted the light down, never wavered. When your workers didn't take it down and stood us up for the third time, my husband, out of frustration, said to leave it up and we'd find someone who knew what they were doing to come and take it down. Do not make it sound like we were wishy-washy, or that we ever wavered on what we wanted. Also, you can not blame the rain on it taking you months to finish a one day job...or that you scheduled THREE times to come and finish, all on sunny, dry days, and never showed up.
I hired someone else to finish the things this company didn't do. The Third Estimate did a mediocre job that took months longer than it should've, then threatened to sue us for payment. We authorized payment with Wells Fargo, who said the Third Estimate filed the claim incorrectly...several times. That's not on me, it's on this company, who apparently can't seem to do anything properly. Wells Fargo has a file on Third Estimate with complaints about them. I am not happy with this company, and never will be. They are incompetent, dishonest, rude and unprofessional.

We at The Third Estimate have a one year labor warranty (see attached) after one year we will come out to a previous customers home and do a service call for $100, plus the cost of supplies.  We did the job for the customer six years ago, 2010. When they called in to our office our staff let...

them know that the job was well outside the term of the one year labor warranty time frame and that we would have to charge the service fee, plus cost of materials. They were not happy with this and felt the fee should be waived. After much conversation and many phone calls by all parties involved, we came out to their home free of charge, tried to address the issues but were unable to fix it for free.We explained it has been 6 years and that on top of all the things that could naturally happen from storms and just wear over that time frame, they also had a satellite dish installed on the roof. We let them know that it could also be the issue. They decided not to have us do the service and that was the last we have had communication.

[redacted]
I have reviewed [redacted]'s file and have confirmed that she is to receive new gutter guards on her home. The gutter guards have been on back order, hence the long wait...

time, but I personally have spoke with our distributor and they have guaranteed a delivery to our facility early next week. As soon as the product arrives I will be promptly calling Irene to schedule her removal of the unsatisfactory gutter guards and installation of the new ones.

I am rejecting this response because I filed the complaint only after six weeks had passed since the contract was signed and the work had not been started or completed per the contract. Third Estimate was on site and began the job on or around November 6th and completed it on November 15th.  Also, after the six week period and before November 6th, I had some of the work in the contract completed by another contractor. The Balance Due as stated in the original contract is invalid.

The consumer is rejecting this response because:
The guy is a crook.  The consumer has been living with a door that hits the frame for over a year.  The siding is not attached properly to the bottom of the house and she is afraid it will come off during a storm.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/11/12) */
Revdex.com spoke with business over the phone. Steve stated that the work was done in 2013. All work that was completed is now out of warranty. If Mr. [redacted] would like the work performed there will be a charge for time and materials. If you would...

like this done, please contact our office.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. [redacted]

We contracted to do Mrs. [redacted]'s home in 11/2015 and it was completed just over a month later. Per the contract (Attached: [redacted]-contract.pdf) that we have attached, it states that we would do it within 3-5 weeks. We understand her frustration, but in addition to finishing within the contracted...

time frame, we also were working around Ohio winter weather. At the end of the job the [redacted]'s signed off on the job being complete and to their liking and we provided them with their 1yr. labor warranty and the additional manufacturer warranty on the product itself. Mrs. [redacted] contacted our office in the Spring of 2017 and we told her that her 1yr labor warranty had expired. We let her know that if she would like us to come out we would gladly do just that, but we charge a $75 service fee and then labor and materials if any additional work needs done. She was unhappy with this, but unfortunately her 1 yr. labor warranty has expired and this is our policy. She then at that time let us know that the metal at the bottom of the door was installed incorrectly (Attached: [redacted]) and she stated it was damaged at the time of install, which was not the case after further review of our job completion photos. (I have attached a photo of the bottom of the door area that she said was damaged to show it was okay upon completion... (Attached: [redacted]) We strive to make our customers happy and to keep their business for years to come. As we stated to Ms. [redacted], as a resolution to the issue we can gladly come out and perform a service on her home for a nominal fee. We understand the winters and weather can be hard on homes in the Northeast Ohio region.

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 18, 2015/08/28) */
received refund today finally done with these awful people

We did enter in to a contract with the customer on 9/12/17 and put and the contract: "Estimated weeks until start date 4 to 6 weeks." We had multiple conversations with the customer and on Friday we did leave a message to let her know that the job would be started the next week. With the wind storms...

rocking the area that week and the rains we would need to call her early the next week to give her the exact day we were coming. She received the message, but filed the complaint with the Revdex.com before we had a chance to call her on Monday. The job was completed that week as we stated we would do and at this time we have made multiple attempts over the past few weeks to contact the customer to make sure she is happy with the completed job and to collect the balance due, but have not been able to speak with her directly.
