Revdex.com:At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Thread & Leather has been resolved.I have received the full refund.
Sincerely,
[redacted]...

The product I received is great. It's wonderfully made and very well designed. Mine was ordered during the business' set up period but arrived within an acceptable window. I found [redacted] to be friendly and helpful.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! It's been a year and they haven't sent my product that I paid for!

The product is good, but the person and company are dishonest and disrespectful.

Review: I ordered a wallet in March 2014 and I knew that it would take a while for the item to deliver as it is a new company. After ordering I received a conformation email with my order number. At the bottom of the email it said if I wanted to cancel the order at any time before it has been shipped out was to reply to the email. In mid summer I did that but did not get a reply or a refund to my credit card. I emailed them again in September 2014 and still no reply.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my money.

Review: I ordered a wallet on Feb ** 2014 and have not yet received it. I have reached out several times with no one responding to tell me when I should expect my order. I knew they were back ordered and would be 1-2 months. I want my wallet or a refund. I have reached out via email, [redacted] and [redacted] to have my comments ignored. Horrible business would not recommend ordering from them.Desired Settlement: I would like the wallet kit I ordered and for my troubles have it put together. If thats not possible I would like a full refund.

Review: On December [redacted], 2013 I ordered a wallet from the website threadandleather.com which was set up after [redacted] had finished a very successful Kickstarter campaign for the same product. After waiting several months I finally got contact from the company where they gave a new estimated delivery date of May [redacted]. Since then I've attempted to contact repeatedly with no response. I've attempted every avenue from email, the website's contact form and their [redacted] page. Since then I've requested a refund with still no response.

At this point I consider the money stolen and that the product will never be delivered. Over half a year later the kickstarter rewards have still not shipped and if you visit that page none of them have received contact in over 2 months.

Here's the necessary information:

[redacted]'s emails: [redacted]

Phone: ###-###-#### and his work number is ###-###-####

Kickstarter page with associated comments: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full amount of $42.10

Review: On November **, 2013, I ordered a wrap wallet through [redacted] from [redacted] of the start-up company, Thread & Leather. I was billed $64.00 for the wallet through my [redacted] card via [redacted] Payments on that date.

After months of delays, very little feedback from customer service about when delivery would be made, and ignored requests to delivery the product or refund my money, the company refuses to respond.

The start-up company was looking to get $6,000 to launch the business, and received over $123,000. Although the company received over 20x more capital than requested, they were still not able to fullfill my order.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of the $64.00 to my credit card.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Thread & Leather regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The company sent two e-mails, which did NOT directly address my numerous requests about the clarification and status of my particular order. But rather general e-mails directed to ALL customers who have not recieved thier ordered item yet, asking them to fill out a survey and once agian asking for e-mail address, postal address, etc. Both e-mails are attached below:

(** SEPT 2014)

(** OCT 2014)

Sincerely,

Review: Like many others I backed the Wrap Wallet ([redacted]) Kickstarter program sponsored by [redacted], proprietor of Thread & Leather ([redacted]). My payment of $59 + $5 shipping ($64 total) billed to my credit card during November 2013. Delivery of a SEWN/Complete (*not* KIT) wallet was scheduled for Dec 2013. .

[redacted]'s Kickstarter program sought to raise $6000 startup funding; his program exceeded the goal, raising more than $120,000. Yet a year later [redacted] has not fulfilled product shipment to backers, like me, who expect a wallet. [redacted] communicates with his kickstarter backers inconsistently, sometimes posting 'aloof' statements addressing the backers' dissatisfaction without discussing remedies.

During Summer 2014 [redacted] took orders at a "Maker's Faire", with several reports from customers that he fulfilled those orders. Today [redacted] emailed his backers stating that he would provide OVERNIGHT shipment during a promotion if ordered today. I replied to his email and got the only response he's ever sent me - it was his original email with a generic clause inserted in BOLD text. It did not state whether he intends to fulfill my order. Other Kickstarter backers report receiving the same email messages.Desired Settlement: Refund my account $64.

Secondary outcome: disallow [redacted] from selling products online or within the state of NY.

Review: I ordered a custom cut wallet over 1 year ago with several we're in the process of fulfilling your order. When at one time I asked for a refund I got no response. Then I was told we're getting orders out. Now they have opened up sales with over night shipping to customers who haven't been waiting over a year like I have. My credit card won't refund me based on the time lapse. This has been a business full of empty promises.Desired Settlement: This is INSAINE at this point. I refund is what I should get along with an apology. It's sad there is no moral compose here for this business venture. $39 I paid for a custom cut kit that the creator convinced me would arrive Before Christmas 2013 because he was personally handling it. Sad such an empty promise since it's now 1 day to Christmas 2014.

Review: I have ordered the wallet from their website [redacted] on 06/**/2014

However the order was never shipped or received. I have contacted their listed email address on numerous occasions, however never received an update. Unfortunately I have waited too long for paypal to issue a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund on my order # [redacted]

Sincerely,[redacted]

Well it took more than a year to get the wallet.

And then only because I took action. [redacted] does not communicate. Nothing to add to that.

Half of my order was a year late with vague responses or being ignored for months. This was never fully explained why it happened.

Review: I bought a 'custom' Wrap Wallet from Thread and Leather in Nov 2013 with delivery estimated in Dec 2013.

It is now [redacted] Dec 2014 and the last update was received in early Oct 2014 offering no dates for shipment. I have sent multiple emails to the site and the support website and not one communication has been acknowledged.

It is clear to me that the site is a scam and there is in fact no intention for the wallets to ever be delivered.Desired Settlement: Either provide the goods that were paid for or offer a full refund,

Review: On November **, I purchased a Wrap Wallet via [redacted] for $60. A month later, I received an empty envelope from the post office that said the original shipment package was not properly sealed and the product fell out while en route. From January through March I have repeatedly tried to get Thread & Leather to send me a new wallet, contacting them via [redacted], and their website. They even wrote me an email to say they would send me a new one which has yet to arrive (and they never supplied me with a tracking number upon request). At this point, I consider my money stolen and would like a refund or action taken. Their customer service is anything but, and I have had issues at every point of contact aside from giving them my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $60. A poor rating by Revdex.com seems to be deserving, as well.

Sincerely,

Review: On November *, 2013, I used [redacted] to back [redacted] (also operates under Thread & Leather) in his "Wrap Wallet project, with an original anticipated shipment date of December 2013.

I have contacted [redacted] and his company numerous times through various avenues to find out where my product or refund are. I have sent three messages to the seller on [redacted], with no reply from the seller. ** Apr 2014: Sent message on [redacted] asking for update on wallet ** Aug 2014: Requested refund from [redacted]/Thread & Leather through [redacted] message ** Sep 2014: Sent message on [redacted], again asking for a status of my wallet

In addition to the attempts made on [redacted], I began to email the seller in early October 2014. ** Oct 2014: Requested, again, a status update of my wallet. Told the seller I would be contacting Revdex.com shortly ** Oct 2014: Received FIRST response to any correspondence. Seller told me to fill out the form linked in ** Sep update ** Oct 2014: Informed seller the form was completed within 24 hours; seller stated "your wallet is probably sewn then" and "Will probably mail tomorrow."

** Emailed seller again on [redacted], and ** October requesting shipment confirmation and/or tracking number. Still have received no further responses or updates from seller.

The seller has sent few updates stating wallets will be shipped in around one month. The wallets are supposedly shipped in groups, and my wallet should have been included in each of these groups that should have shipped. ** Jul 2014: Seller sent updated that in the "next 3-5 weeks", the remaining 300 orders would ship ** Sep 2014: Seller requested a form be filled out for backers who had paid for a wallet and not received (I submitted within 24 hours of receiving request).

Nearly every update that has been sent regarding the shipment of wallets has stated the black wallets (the type I ordered) was done and would be shipped.Desired Settlement: After being lied to by this seller for nearly a year, with no product in hand and no refund issued following the request, I believe it to be fair that I receive my refund from this seller, as well as receive the wallet that was due nearly a year ago. This company should no longer be allowed to sell products are fairs, online or in any retail stores.

"Irresponsible" "arrogant," and "unscrupulous" are the first words that come to mind to describe [redacted], the proprietor of Thread & Leather.

He makes and breaks commitments with the frequency most people blink, and he frames himself as the misunderstood victim of lesser people when he does.

In the 1+ years that his [redacted] backers have been waiting for their wallets, he has sent no less than 5 updates stating that they were ALL shipping by the end of the week. With original orders still unfulfilled, he emailed those same frustrated people to get order an additional wallet and get it the next day.

Unbelievably bad service.

Review: After reading about Thread & Leather on [redacted], I went to their website to order my husband a new wallet on December *, 2013. I still had not received the wallet by March 2014, so I emailed customer service. I received a reply 4 days later and was assured that my husband's wallet would arrive by June. It is now August 2014, and I have heard nothing back about the wallet - neither "we're not going to get it done ever," nor a "we're on it; should arrive by XX-XX-XXXX." All of the rest of my emails have gone unanswered, and I have no way to contact the company other than through email. I am so disappointed!Desired Settlement: I would either like to receive a refund of the $84.19 that was charged to my credit card, or I would like the wallet by the end of September 2014.
