Review: They advertised a sales price for a vehicle online at $6988 for a [redacted] Altima Vin [redacted]. When we showed up, they said that the price was actually $13988 and they will not negotiate on that price, it was just a human error online. I asked them to explain why the price is so different, they said it was a mistake, no big deal. When I asked them to go by the advertised price, or at least negotiate a little on the changed price they refused and said they will not go down. I then suggested that they remove the vehicle from the lot so that it doesn't confuse anyone else. They said they will not do that, they don't have to do anything. I said this is false advertising, and they said they don't care.Desired Settlement: I do want others to get the feeling of being baited and switched. They were completely unapologetic and definitely didn't want to do anything to correct the online price or remove the vehicle.

Review: I financed a 2012 Dodge Avenger on September 14,2015 from Thrifty Car Sales located in [redacted]. The day I drove off the car lot barely made it down the street and the car turned off while driving and check engine light came on. I took the car back to thrifty car sales were they took it back to their mechanic, my car was ready in a hour. As soon as I got home and put my car in reverse it shut off again and the check engine light also came back on. I'm thinking thrifty just reset the computer. I called thrifty the next morning on September 15th and they made me an appointment for September 22nd to bring my car in to get fixed. I got my car back September 24th and again drove the car for a day and the same problem happened ! Brought my car back to thrifty and didn't get my car back until October 5th ! that's 11 days they had my car. Every time I called my sales person [redacted] he just told me to call the service manager they didn't even inform me when my car was ready ! I had to keep on calling in ! Finally got my car back then on October 8th I was driving with my toddler and all of a sudden all the lights on dashboard started to blink and the car wouldn't got pass 2nd gear ! I pulled over turned the car off and when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn't start ! I'm 37 weeks pregnant and had to walk all the way home with my toddler because of this! As soon as I got home I called thrifty and they towed my car back to their dealership. Now my car is still at thrifty and their working on it ! I'm almost due and need a reliable car for my children and I ! I don't know how many times I need to take my car in for them to resolve the issue !!Desired Settlement: I would either like a refund of my down payment of $1500 or a different car. Obviously their is a electrical issue that has not been fixed ! I gave thrifty four times to repair the problem and the car comes back worse each time !

Review: On May 22, 2016 I went back to thrifty car sales to return a vehicle that had a transmission problem. I had purchased a vehicle that had issues, and returned to obtain my down payment back. The sales agent mentioned that they could not refund me the deposit, but if I liked anything else on the lot the deposit could get transferred. Due to the needs of my disabled child, and the fact that I needed a car to commute I decided to purchase another vehicle. I ended up with a 2007 Denali GMC, and paid $7200.00 out the door, since they already had the $5200 form the original car, I only financed about $2200.00. Within a week on my drive home from work the check engine light came on with a loud noise. I took the Denali back to the dealership a total of three times and nothing was ever fixed. The last time I took the Denali in on June 17, 2016 I asked for my deposit back. This was the second car that I purchased with issues, and I wanted my deposit back. Of course the company denied me the deposit.Desired Settlement: I would like the $5200.00 for the deposit, and $1260 for the payments I have paid since May 2016 for a total of $6460.00.

WE WERE LATER CONTACTED BY THE CUSTOMERS HUSBAND STATING THAT HE DIDNT FEEL THE VEHICLE COULD BE DRIVEN TO SACRAMENTO AS HE LIVES IN STOCKTON SO WE OFFERED TO SEND SOMEONE TO HIS HOME IN STOCKTON TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. ON 3/12/2016 UNIEVES HUSBAND CONTACTED US STATING THAT THE DASH SEEMED TO HAVE A SHORT CAUSING THE DASH LAMPS TO FLICKER AT TIMES AND THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SUSPENSION ISSUES SO WE SENT THE VEHICLE TO REPAIR SHOP TO BE DIAGNOSED. ON 3/15/2016 IT WAS DETERMINED TO NEED BOTH OUTER TIE ROD ENDS AND CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS. AT THAT TIME WE AUTHORIZED THE REPAIRS AT NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER. THE MECHANIC SHOP WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FLICKERING OF AN INTERNAL LAMPS. ON 3/21/2016 UNIEVE AND HER HUSBAND CAME TO OUR DEALERSHIP DEMANDING TO BE SWITCHED TO A DIFFERENT VEHICLE AT WHICH TIME WE SHOWED THEM OTHER VEHICLES IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE. THEY AGAIN ENTERED INTO A CONDITIONAL SALES CONTRACT FOR A 07 GMC ENVOY AS-IS BUT THIS TIME FINANCING THE REMAINDER OF $2,290.00. ON 4/21/2016 THE CUSTOMER CALLED STATING THAT THE VEHICLE HAS CHECK ENGINE LAMP AND TICKING NOISE, WE SENT THE VEHICLE OUT FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND FOUND A LIFTER NOISE. REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED TO REPLACE AND REPAIR HEADS AND HEAD GASKETS AT NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER. I am rejecting this response because: Everything that they are saying is false. They sold me a van with engine issues & I asked for my money back than they refused. Once they refused they offered me anything else off there lot . That's when I got the 2007 gmc that cost almost $3000 more. In the 1st week of me having the gmc the check engine lite came on and reading several different codes. I than gave thirty 4 different attempts to fix the issue which they sent it to there family's shop . After there 4 attempts the truck has never been fixed and the issue is worse. I also see that they stated that they blocked me. Never blocked my fiance and nothing is in my finances name nor was that his money . Only after I requested my deposits back a 2nd time they blocked me from calling. And if it was sold as is why did they attempt to fix it 4 different times?? I have since than payed the truck off so im requesting all of my money back. I also have asked them for all my invoices since they fixed it and they have yet to give them to me. I purchased this vehicle from my disabled son ssi account and im very unsatisfied. Thrifty Car sales are wrong & they know it. If you google & read the reviews and what customers say you would be shocked. Im wishing I would've read about them before dealing with them.

I have had nothing much stress since I purchased my car with thrifty car sales. they say they do a full saftey inspection, everything is great! that is such a big lie. I have documents to prove. I've had to switch cars had to use their "loaner" cars every single vehicle I test drove as well seemed to have problems. save yourself and do not shop here!!!!!!!!!!! please im paying 14,000 for a car thats going to break down on me or cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Review: We have a 3-month warranty on the car we bought, so I had called my salesmen for some help, numerous of times, never answered, so then I started calling the sales store, every time I asked for my salesmen, he was never there, or was already "off", and these calls were always placed around the morning, about 10 AM to 1PM. So then the people at the sales store would ask me to leave a message, I would say yes, of course, and 3 times, they never delivered my message. So finally, I went there personally, when I got there, all the salesmen there couldn't even help me set up an appointment with the mechanic. So I went to their secretary and asked her, she called, got my appointment, and I was out. The salesmen could have at least directed me to their secretary, but instead they all just shrugged their shoulders. 2 weeks later, the car began to leak, I had to call again to Thrifty, I was having a problem with the radiator. So we went back to the store, had to wait 30 minutes for a mechanic to come from the back of the store to just look at the hood, their store is a little shaft, so he could have at least taken less time, tells us we'll have to leave it about a few hours. We make another appointment with them, because I couldn't stay I had to work, we leave it on a Saturday, a 9AM, after I go to work, at 5PM I call to ask how the car is doing or if it's even ready. They never gave me an answer, just said " Hold on" , puts me on hold for 15 minutes, "Your salesmen is not here. I could give him your number to call you." I told them "No, all I need to know is the progress." Then he says " I'll go I'll call you back" I wait by the phone for 2 hours, no call. I call back, I get the same conversation, I just say okay, my salesmen calls me finally tells me that I'll have to wait until Monday for the car. So then Monday, I call at 10AM to ask about the car, told they'll call me back, I call after 30mins, they say we'll call you back, again, then hung up. Called me 20mins later and finally gave me a time.Desired Settlement: I would just like these people to give better service and be more considerate of our time, the reason I bought the car was because I needed it, and I've been struggling these past few days with getting around, I also have jury duty today, I don't know how to get there without my car, Thrifty has given me awful service, and doesn't even care about their customer after they buy a car, all they do is stress my out and give me additional problems.

Review: I bought a Hummer from the business. The business gave me 30 day warranty by salesman [redacted] and the manager [redacted]. I took the vehicle back around 2 weeks after the purchase due to a transmission leak. The vehicle was left at the business for 3 days. When the vehicle was returned and supposedly fixed, the leak was again found after 3 days. The business was again contacted to notify them of the issues but they were avoiding me as they canceled numerous appointments. When they finally addressed the matter, they requested I get a diagnosis. I then took the vehicle to [redacted] for the inspection and diagnosis. A week after they reviewed the diagnosis they called ma to tell me that they would not be able to assist me with the repairs as it was past the 30m day warranty period. I responded by telling them it was not fair as they failed to properly repair the vehicle the first time it was taken to them before the 30 days.Desired Settlement: I believe the business should be responsible for covering the cost of the needed repairs or simply give me a different comparable vehicle.

Review: My complaint is that Thrifty Car Sales sold me a car that was not in good conidtions to sell. Due to this issue I have wasted money on car rentals, and trying to fix my car. I have tried to ask them for help with the repairs, butthe issue has not been addressed. I am not satisfied with the down payment that I put towards this car at all, they told me the car was in good conditions, but that was incorrect. When I purchased the vehicle they very next day I had to take it to a mechanic because the "check engine" light came on and it kept on shaking the whole car. After an inspection from the mechanic, it turns out it was an engine issue, and other parts. But, the dealership told me it was in perfect conditions. Desired Settlement: I want my Down Payment back, the car rental fee's, and the additional costs to repair the vehicle.

Review: Late february I got a car from thrifty car sales. thrifty said if anything went wrong or if mechanical problems were found they would fix the car within 30 days. I found several things wrong with the car. Rack&pinion leak,Oil leak,motor mount devective, bad rotors. they supposdly fixed the car but it broke down on me few days later. I wanted my money back they said that wasnt an option..(while my car was being fixed they gave me loaner car but it was one they were trying to sale and it had check engine light on) they let me change car, car seemed to be fine...couple days later maintenance req light came on...took it to mechanic, mechanic said the tranny fluid and engine oil needed to be changed, rack and pinion leak, axle was defective and needed a wheel alignment. took car to thrifty they set up appointment to fix it. at this time I was also letting them know the tranny wasnt shifting correctly...I was told they couldnt do anything unless check engine light came on. they supposdly fixed the axle, and rack and pinion and did the fluid change and wheel alignment. I was told I had an additional 30 warranty after work was done. the car makes a popping noise when turned left or right, check engine light came on. battery light came on....had the codes read and something is wrong with transmission. Mo(manager) specifically told me engine and tranny are saftey issues. Now they wont do anything for me regarding the transmission. he said I have to bring proof of the car popping and that its caused by their work then he'll fix it. I have spent so much time and energy,and money going back in forth. Ive had three loaner cars from them all cars have had issues, and the cars were listed to be sold. I feel the car is not safe to drive I have a 5 year old daughter.Im paying 14,000 for a car thats going to break down on me.Desired Settlement: Due to all the problems Ive had with all the cars ive test drove, purchased or a loaner car through them. I want a refund of my down payment of $2,500 Plus My first payment of $322.50. they are selling horrible cars to people telling us that they are safety okay that theyve had a full inspection. they say they will fix car you get your car back and there are more problems. On February 20, 2015 Ms [redacted] purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Impala from us under Conditional Sales Contract. The vehicle was sold As-Is. On March 4, 2015 Ms [redacted] brought a diagnostic from an outside mechanic suggesting miscellaneous gaskets and brakes needed to be replaced. We then at no cost to Ms. [redacted] had the work done on her vehicle based on her own mechanics diagnosis. We also gave her a copy of the invoice stating everything that had been done to the vehicle. During which time, we gave her a vehicle at cost to drive while her vehicle was being repaired. Once Ms [redacted] got her vehicle back, she began calling to complain of transmission issues. At this point we give Ms [redacted] the option to switch to another vehicle in the hope that we could resolve the situation and keep her happy so that she may return as a customer in the future. On March 21 Ms [redacted] again entered into Conditional Sales Contract for a 2007 Toyota Camry. This vehicle was also sold As-Is. When offered to purchase an extended warranty during both purchased Ms [redacted] declined. On April 23 Ms [redacted] contacted us to state she needed believed she needed an oil change. We sent the vehicle out at no charge to Ms [redacted] for an oil change and alignment again giving her a vehicle to drive as a courtesy. After this Ms [redacted] contacted our finance manager to state she believes she hears a noise in the suspension at which time the finance manager explained to her that we will no longer have any repairs done to the vehicle unless she brought a diagnostic paper from an outside mechanic of her choice. Ms [redacted] then became very upset and unreasonable. We believe we went above what was called for in the situation with Ms [redacted] considering she purchased the vehicle As-Is.

I am rejecting this response because: THEY did not offer me any extended warranty on the Camry. Most of what they are saying is a lie or they have twisted the true story to their benefit. The impala completely broke down after they had work done on the car. Thats why they let me switch cars but they gave me limited options. Currently the Camry is driving worse by the day. I took it to them to work on the axle and rack and pinion, also the oil change alignment and transmission fluid. They couldnt show me any proof about what was done and said they didnt know if the fluids had been looked at. I did not act unreasonable. My check engone light qnd battery light came on days after they worked on the camry. Mo a manager at thrifty car sales began getting an attitude with me. I asked him so im paying 14,000 for a car thats going to break down on me ? He said you could be paying 100,000 I dont care thats not our problem. They say the fully inspect these cars which is a lie because if so they wouldnt have so many customer complaints. On both cars they told me I had a 30 day warranty if anything went wrong they would fix it at no charge to me. I had told them about my transmission acting up on the camry. Before the 30 days was up they said until the check engine light came on they couldnt do anything....it was a month and a half later the check engine light came on and I was told they wouldnt help me. I still want my money back to go some where else or for them to pay to fix it I dont trust their shop who knows qhat they have done to the car because obviously the suspension wasnt done right if its poping when turned left and right its not a smooth ride any more. I was told I had an additional 30 day after they worked on the Camry so why should I spend money and time taking it to a different shop when they couldve taken it and checked it out themselves? Please help I have a 5 year old daughter I work, if he car breaks down I will be completely stranded

Please review both Conditional Sales Contract agreements, As-Is and Contract cancellation option agreements. I have also supplied documentation from the repair facility which performed repairs on both vehicles. Furthermore, No additional warranty was ever implied to Ms. [redacted] either in writing or verbally. We were not obligated to allow Ms. [redacted] out of the original contract but did so with the intention of maintaining relationship with a potential repeat customer. We really feel like Ms. [redacted] will never be satisfied with our attempts to help her, this is the reason why we decided that we would no longer work on her vehicle without a diagnostic from another mechanic shop. Once this was requested from Ms. [redacted] she became very unreasonable and demanding. We really try to work with our customers regardless of As-Is agreements. Every used car is different situation and we sincerely hope Ms. [redacted] the best.?

I am rejecting this response because: first off the contract that I kust seen looked like the contract from the impala, the cancellation agreement for the purchase of the car was only for 3 days and it waa expensive I was told by luis my salesman no one every really selects this option, dont worry you have 30 days if anything happens to the car just let me know ill take care of it ill talk to them about repairs. I asked about an extended warranty and he told me I would have to pay an extra 1500 up front which I didnt have at the time. On a different occasion I was waiting to speak woth luis and he was conducting another sale I over heard him offering a warranty for 2 years $1500 and that they were going to add it to their car loan. I wish I was given that option, I believe thats unfair. I never became unreasonable and demanding with them. Thats not me at all. I felt intimidated by mo the manager. I always remained respectful. So I guess they did change the oil but look they never did the transmission fluid like promised. I would be satisfied lf the car im paying 14,000 for didnt have a check engine light on. I took them a diagnostic for the check engine light , amd told them the outside mechanic said the popping noise means the rack and pinion or sonething to do with them woking on it caused the noise & abnormal movement in the front end of the car. They told me they would no longer help me they had done too much already. This os not right at all I was told there was nothing wrong with the transmission by thrifty car sales, luis said until the check engine light comes on we cannot do anything. So now that the light came on ??? The light came on after having it back from the repairs the did on the front end , along with the battery light. I broke down my car wouldnt start I almost missed my daughter's graduation. I had to go buy a new battery. My first car with thrifty the impala had a defective motor mount, oil leak, rack and pinion leak, bad rotors, they put new break pads on bad rotors, the side safety mirrors did not work. My current car the Camry rack and pinion leak, check engine light, bad axle, bad battery, needed a oil change and transmission fluid(anyone cant just check the fluid levels you have to take it to a shop or dealership because there is no dip stick, you have to put the car on a lift.) Also needed an alignment. They are selling these cars as if theyre in excellent condition, when in reality these cars are a road hazard. They say the fully inspect the cars that the safety is okay and smog okay. Well then they are knowingly selling cars that are not safe at top dollar. Please help I want a refund I want out of the contract, or for them to have the car fixed like I was promised by a mechanic shop that I trust. I dont want them to get the car and then them mess it up even more. Thank you.

Review: On 8/2/2015 I Purchased a 2005 Infiniti QX56 for 10,500.00 paid in full. The RPM ( dash cluster)was NOT working so it reqired 6 days to be fixed. I was given a loner car that did not meet my families needs but I accepted it and dealed with it for 6 days. When my truck was given back to me the problem still was not correct. Called and spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] and they made me feel like I was stupid or did not know what I was talking about. I then took my truck to have a diagnostic test, where there were other problems addressed but when brought to [redacted] and [redacted] attention they both denied the issues and stated it was our problem. We have contacted and went to there place of buiness where they will not speak to us or return our phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would like my resolution to be resolved by my truck getting fixed by Infiniti so I can assure that the correction are being done and documented.

Tell us why here...On August 2, 2015 [redacted] PURCHASED ON 05 INFINITY FROM OUR DEALERSHIP UNDER CONDITIONAL SALES CONTRACT AS-IS. ON AUGUST 11, 2015 THE CUSTOMER CAME IN STATING THAT THE RPM SOMETIMES DOESNT WORK ON THE DASH. UPON FURTHER EXAMINIATION WE FOUND THE CLUSTER WAS INFACT HAVING AN ISSUE WITH SOME LIGHTS NOT BEING VISIBLE ALL OF THE TIME AS WELL AS THE RPM NOT REGISTERING. WE REMOVED THE CLUSTER AND SENT TO AN OUTSIDE REPAIR FACILITY AND KEPT THE VEHICLE OVERNIGHT. AT THIS TIME WE GAVE THE CUSTOMER A LOANER VEHICLE TO DRIVE BECAUSE HE WAS NOT PREPARED TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE OVERNIGHT AND HE HAD NO MEANS TO GET HOME. A FEW DAYS LATER THE CUSTOMER CAME BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SAID THE CLUSTER WAS STILL HAVING ISSUES AT WHICH TIME WE EXPLAINED WE WOULD AGAIN NEED TO REMOVE THE CLUSTER TO SNED IT TO THE SHOP THAT REPAIRED IT PREVIOUSLY. ULTIMATELY [redacted] AGREED TO TAKE HIS VEHICLE TO THE SHOP DIRECTLY AND HAVE THE REPAIRS DONE UNDER WARRANTY. APPARENTLY WHEN [redacted] FOUND THAT HE WOULD NEED TO LEAVE HIS VEHICLE OVERNIGHT AND CALLED TO REQUEST ANOTHER LOANER VEHICLE. UNFORTUNATELY AT THAT TIME WE HAD NONE AVAILABLE AND INFORMED HIM THAT WE COULDN'T HELP HIM. AT THIS TIME HE BECAME VERY ANGRY AND WE NEVER HEARD FROM [redacted] AFTER THAT. AT NO TIME WOULD ANYONE REFUSE TO TALK TO [redacted]. BOTH [redacted] AND [redacted] SPOKE WITH [redacted] AND HIS WIFE [redacted] ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND THE CUSTOMER IS JUST UNSATISFIED THAT WE DID NOT ACCOMIDATE HIM MORE. I need to have a loner vehicle if my vehicle has to be in the shop for more than one day, I have chidren that have school and sports they must attend, I only have one vehicle.
