On July 11, 2017, I ordered a bench from Tidewater Workshop in Oceanville, New Jersey ( the 5' Monet Bench). My payment was taken out of my account but I NEVER received the bench, even after calling twice and sending several e-mails. I know this happened over a year ago, but I still have the e-mail and when I run across it I still get upset.
During one phone conversation, I was told that it was in transit and would be delivered withing three business days. Obviously it was not. I asked for a refund, but that never happened. As one of the other reviews said, this gives small businesses a bad name.

This place is a rip-off company. Do not order from them, ever!
I still have the order and order number just in case.

I am so disappointed. I ordered three benches- on in march 2018 and 2 in june of 2018. I had ordered benches from them years earlier and loved them. It is October and after numerous tries to find out where my order is and one e-mail from Peter, the CEO who promised to look into it (this was in August), I still have no benches or a reply regarding my orders. I am now going to bring this up with the RevDex.com & and my bank. I really wanted the benches, but now I really want my money back so I can buy similar benches elsewhere.

On 6/7/18 I placed an order for a garden bridge. A couple weeks later I called to inquire about a shipping date... not because I was impatient, but because I was going to be out of town and was concerned about the possibility of a large package sitting by my front door. I left a message, but got no reply. I called again on 7/11/18 and actually spoke with someone in "customer service". I was told my order would ship the following week, and would take about 5 days to get to me. I never received it. I have called both of the customer service numbers NUMEROUS times since then and left voice messages to inform them I had not received my order and to request tracking information. I NEVER received the courtesy of a return phone call or email. I also recently emailed them via the contact link on their web site and have not gotten a response. The charge for the item I ordered was posted to my credit card within days of my order. Although I really did (and still do) want the item I ordered, I ultimately felt I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card company. They contacted Tidewater, but to my knowledge Tidewater has not replied to their inquiry either. If the merchant does not respond by a specified date, the credit card company will rule in my favor on the dispute and my money will be refunded. Although this would be a resolution to the issue, it is not the outcome I was hoping for... and there is no reason for any customer to have to go through this. The pictures on the web site appear to be of quality products, however due to their (lack of) customer service I would never order from them again or recommend them to anyone else. If it was possible to give zero stars, that is how I would have rated my satisfaction.

On April 26, I ordered and paid $555 for 4 Monet captain's chairs and a 45' diameter round table. Max delivery time 8 weeks. Twelve weeks later, nothing. Four emails and two voicemails later, I get false promises of shipping information and delivery coming. The CEO, Peter Caprielli, has twice given me false assurances that my order was coming. It's now 13 weeks and I'm going to the New Jersey Attorney General of this doesn't get fixed fast.

We spoke with Ms. [redacted] by phone yesterday and she expressed an interest in receiving the order. We followed up yesterday with the following email to her at her email address, [redacted]:Dear [redacted]Thank you for your order for (2) 4' Classic Benches, Furniture Glides and a free...

Serving Tray. We apologize for the problems with this order and for the inconvenience that they have caused. We are writing to let you know that your order is shipping to you via [redacted] in one package and you can anticipate delivery taking place on Wednesday the 20th or Thursday the 21st.
