Review: We listed our timeshare with TSRSonline.com because we were told that we could sell our timeshare for an amount around $15,200 as suggested by them. Then we were told that there is a guaranteed buyback offer if it is not sold within 10 months. The buyback offer was what the fair market value was for our timeshare. I asked and stated to them what does this mean specifically you are not going to offer me $100 and they guaranteed me that was not going to happen. My wife then allowed them to charge our account $1398 for this service. After 10 months we did not get any offers and began the buyback process. Our offer was for $51 on a timeshare that cost us $11,900. This is clearly not a fairmarket value as lead to believe. The company sent a recording back to me with only my wifes voice on it when I questioned the validity of the contract and they still stand by their offer. They even told me to blame my timeshare company for over pricing. All they have done is lied and mislead my family out of $1398 and I have asked for my money back which they refuse to do so. Instead I am just supposed to continue to write letters to their company and wait a month to hear the response of to bad we stand by our contract.Desired Settlement: I want my money back $1398 and them to have to report what a fair market value offer will look like so people do not waste their money dealing with the scam in the first place.

Review: The company asks for money up front for advertising fees to sell our time share. They started off wanting $3500 and finally settled on $1300. If the time share did not sell in 10 months, we were to contact them in writing requesting an offer from them. We wrote and never heard from them. After 9 phone calls, they finally send an offer for $22.51, and want an additional $1050 to legally cancel the time share out of my name forever. I've received nothing from this company for the money spent. This company is nothing but a scam to lure in time share owners.Desired Settlement: I wish to receive a full refund of my $1300.

Dear Revdex.com,

This is in response to the letter addressed to our office, received on or about 1/16/2014. The letter seems to be in regards to the contract that [redacted]’s entered into with TSRSOnline for the marketing of their timeshare for sale; we have a SIGNED contract on file.

Our contract is very clear we have done everything the contract terms state. They are just not happy with the end result of what the current value of their timeshare property is worth. Pursuant to the signed contract, if the timeshare did not sell after 10 months a market price offer would be made for the purchase of the timeshare. According to the definition of market price on your contract; “Market price means what a similar Timeshare most recently sold for on the current resale market.” The market price offer was made to them by our in house licensed Real Estate broker, completing the contract.

There was NO specific amount guaranteed as we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare. If they believe the timeshare property is worth as much as the requested sale price amount, they can try to sell it back to the timeshare company and see if they buy it close to that amount.

We don’t make the market prices; we report them as they are completed by third parties other than us.

We submitted about three comparatives for the timeshare which are actual bona fide transactions done by buyers and sellers not affiliated with us. Unfortunately they have a timeshare property that at this date and time is not worth very much money on the current re sale market as evidenced by the proof we submitted. Prices always fluctuate and we have no way to see the future value of any timeshare.

With that said, we find no refund due as all services contracted for have been provided by TSRSOnline, and we have completed the contract. The timeshare has been advertised pursuant to the terms and conditions of the signed contract and we have made the market price offer as guaranteed. Our contract is very clear, we admit no wrong doing or liability what so ever.

Sincerely,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

TSRSonline maintains we are unhappy with the end result of what the current value of our timeshare property is worth. This is just not true. WE WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM THE PROPIERTY just to be rid of it. We are unhappy with the way they handled everything. They started asking us for $3,000 to advertise our property, yet settled for $1300. This should have been our first clue. The only advertising they did was on their own web site. $1300 should pay for other real estate listings. I know it didn't cost $1300 to put up a picture and print a description of the property. Our second complaint is that it took a letter and at least 10 phone calls to get any response from them. This is added to the fact we were not allowed to actually speak with the person who talked us into this in the first place. We were told you can't speak with anyone except the girl who answers the phone. I am sure this is to prevent the actual "salesmen" from receiving harassing phone calls from unhappy customers like us. Then, they have the audacity to expect us to pay another $1050 to "facilitate the entire transaction to legally cancel" our timeshare out of our name. They should use part of the $1300 for so-called advertising to cancel the timeshare out of our name. I still stand by my original statement that this company is a scam.

Regards,

Review: I was contacted by this company in January 2012 about my time share at eastern slope inn resort in [redacted]. I was told they could sell it for me and if it didn't sell in six months they do a buy back program so it is a win win situation. All I have to do is pay them $998.00 . At the six month time I contacted them about the buy back I had to put the request in writing which I did. They received my letter in February 2013 and told me I wouldn't get an answer till May. After many calls to them to try and find out the status of the buy back and getting the run around I received a letter now in October with an offer of $15.56. They told me it is a win win if it didn't sell they took my $998.00 and did nothing they said and now they want to buy it for $15.56 plus want me to pay another $1050.00 for the service. Im looking to get my $998.00 back from these people that I feel totally misrepresented themselves to me. Thank you for your help in this matter.Desired Settlement: return of the $998.00 that was paid for a service they did not provide and misrepresented when they contacted me

Regards,

The person that contacted me[redacted]) was the person that set the price for the time share . She was the one that told me of the win win situation it was never explained to me that the look at Ebay for there comps. on how much things sell for which I consider a complete joke when I saw that. They never contacted me about lowering the price or kept me informed of what was happening. Whenever I contacted them I got a run around and NO return calls. I do not accept the response they misrepresented themselves to me and never really tried to sell it if they had they would have been in contact with me about lowering the price and have kept me informed without getting the run around they seem to be looking to get something for nothing plus take my money and wanting more.
